    Tombstone

This one just works on me and is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The first tie I sniffed it, it was WHOA CEDAR! So much wood - too much wood. I washed it off and let it set for a few weeks. Then, boom, the magic. The next time I tried it, the cedar was still there, but nice, mellow, and maybe a little dusty. The sweet vanilla root beer is now front and center. And sparkly. Something about this actually smells carbonated and sparkly. I get tons of compliments when I wear this, as it gently fills my whole office, but isn't overpowering in the slightest. I reach for this almost as much as I reach for Coyote, so needless to say I'm a superfan.

    The Fool’s Dog

This to me is super, super grassy. It was a bit offputting at first, but now I'm digging it. I was hoping it would be sweet, like my beloved Coyote, but it's sharper, earthier, an fresher. It brings to mind rolling around in cool, freshly cut grass with a fuzzy dog friend.

    Narr

So I think I really love this, but I don't know why. It's kind of the most un-foodie foodie smell ever. It's very well-blended, mellow and yummy, but I really can't pick out any individual notes. I'm wearing Narr on one arm and Dragon's Milk on the other, and while they're not really similar, they're somehow...complimentary. They both have that low-key, comforting, warm-blanket kind of thing going on. I predict good aging, and am happy I blind-bottled.

    Coyote

This is currently my #1 BPAL scent. I live in the desert and Coyote captures the essence of an arid landscape perfectly. It also captures the spirit of Coyote in the way it morphs. Stage 1 (10-20 minutes): Men’s cologne. Sharp, astringent, overpowering men’s cologne. This is Coyote in his human form. Bold, brash, and ballsy. Not unpleasant at all, but when I first put it on, I was like....ummmmmm... whaaaaat?... Not too sure if it was going to work for me. Stage 2 (2-3 hours): Like rolling around in soft, dry, sweet grass. This is Coyote transformed into his animal form. Playful, free, a little bit wild, and almost importable to pin down. The smell of clean (but dusty) sunshine-dappled fur. Stage 3 (3+ hours, until it disappears): The memory of Coyote. Barely a scent - more of an after-image. Still soft and sweet, but now it’s nostalgic, wistful, almost melancholy. Like standing on a hill in the desert as the sun is going down. It smells - and FEELS - just like that. This is a total winner and will be my go-to summer scent.
