  1. I was able to test this one at Dragon con.

Its super peachy, very nice peach and juicy, but, Milk notes do not play well on my skin. It reminded me Ghost Milk with peaches and this combination is brilliant for those who can wear milk.

For me, I wish this was a shower cream or bath bomb so I could enjoy how rich and decadent it is before the milk dries down on my skin. I brought my paper swab home and put it in a polypropylene bag to mail to a friend who wanted to smell it. It stays super linear and she received it a full eight days after dragon con in the bag and could totally discern the scent and get a good feel for it. So good longevity and linear.

TL;DR: Ghost Milk poured over warm peaches.

  2. While the cherry note itself in Doom Cake reminded me of the cherry in Velvet Unicorn (no almond, tart and sweet), The overall scent put me in mind of the recent yule, Cerise Fog (A spun-sugar sunset of amber, tangerine, and raspberry jam.) with the addition of buttercream frosting. I have a Very Big Need. I think the cherry is tart like raspberry in Cerise Fog, and blended with the lemon so well (again, like tangerine does in Cerise Fog ), but its the buttercream which makes it an all around wonder and so special and arent we lucky this will be around for sometime when its released cause you all will need several. I brought home my test strip and put it in a polypropylene bag so that I could revisit it as needed and have huffed it several times since dragon con already. ❤️

  3. Oooooh, the mint really is chilly! Like, when you chomp down on a zippy mint and for a moment feel as if your nose is cold? This smells that same way. I agree with the above reviewer as well who said they got brownies from this as the chocolate is rather subdued and more powdery cocoa like in a brownie mix that chocolate… this blend for me is about the brisk mint.

I definitely pick up some mallow here, too. Its fluffy. I noticed someone above said this became all chocolate on them at dry down and another said all Rum. Well, mine is all mint. Ha!  It is  still a very striking mint, but not as chilly now.

I am enjoying this, especially for that opening, but I prefer Dragon Slide 100% over this blend because I get more chocolate and the creamy icecream in Dragon Slide makes for a delicious foodie buttery scent. I like mint to be a supporting player, not THE workhorse of the blend. But, hanging on to my decant for that opening which I feel would be absolutely lovely on days when I want something peppy.

  4. I am not sure why, but a dark perfume oil inspires me. I just feel prepared to enjoy it. Something feels luxurious about it.

in vial this is currant and vanilla dominant. I was expecting some roses, but no. Very light currant and vanilla.

On skin, the ambergris takes hold. Its casually salty and somehow sultry. I am not a fan of sandalwood and here I find its somewhat powdery. Oh! Theres the rose on dry down. Its soft and pale…

labdanum Is a problematic note for me, but I can not perceive it here.

Sadly, the vanilla silk and pretty currant are fleeting top notes for me. I am left with a ambergris and tea rose blend thats like a lighter, softer, Mabel.

Not sure I need more than the decant but am very glad to have that.

  5. Jumped on this because of the glorious use of Russet Amber in “Adventuresome Encounters”. With the addition of what was described as a “Auburn Musk” , palo santo and red cedarwood, I expected the olfactory resemblance to a late summer (lillies) succumbing to very crimson autumn.

What I smell on skin is a lot watery lillies and parsley/cilantro. Its super green, theres nothing red or auburn here. I wondered if I had even grabbed the Clover trio by mistake (I had not). Very fresh. Very Green.

Having to readjust my expectations for this blend and will revisit.

  6. All Clove on me and I do not discern any sugared amber. I loved the Black Amber and Sugar duet and was hoping this was the same scent with a spark of clove, but, Its a clove punch with maybe a dollop of amber. It isnt bad, its pretty if you like clove. Spicy. But, I wanted something with a little more depth.

  7. This goes on myrhh and spiced cocoa but within five minutes dries down to powder and dried rose petals. Five minutes after that and I can smell last nights scent under it, but Obsequies is all gone… ☹️ It all happens so fast I am left without not much opinion on the whole of it. I hope it has staying power on others and i can follow reviews to find out what it smelled like on a wrist that didnt absorb the entire profile. Wore close those ten minutes. Then Poof!

  8. I am enjoying this one! It goes on berries dominant with some wet green in the background. The green notes are very understated. But they add a zingy zip to the scent. I love this berry blend. Feels Bright red and juicy! :) Not getting too much grapefruit here, unless its adding some tart to the smushed berries. They are not dolls head or plastic, so something is holding them up. My guess is the grapefruit. ❤️ Very summery, I would Wear to an outdoor social, somewhere breezy and fun in shorts and a t shirt.

  9. Definitely goes on as a grapeish purple rock candy. And thats super fun. But when the resins begin to appear, it reminds me of nag champa a bit. Its a actually a good and original scent, But I do not see myself reaching for this. I think I prefer other incense blends for the niche this hits in my perfume wardrobe. I will say its super work safe and not at all headshop. Its light and airy.

  10. Upon application, This blend isnt sweet on my skin. Its a dry champagne with lots of fizz. So dry that I looked up notes because I thought I was smelling pine and labdanum for a hot minute (This is a reminder of why Chaos blends frustrate me). But, as it rests on the flesh, it definitely becomes about the honey. And for me, that is where the sweetness is. I can definitely focus on the scent and find the plum here, but this is ultimately a honey champagne. At this phase (twenty minutes in) the scent becomes quite linear and when I awoke middle of the night, it was the same honey champagne from initial dry down.

This would be a great girls night out scent!

  11. I adore the name of this scent because in my own home we live in harmony with patient spiders. Sometimes they make their homes on a kitchen windowsill, and sometimes on the bathtub ledge. I bid them a hello and a merry morning and thank them for their service in keeping our home ant free. They ask for so little in return, just a happy little ledge to make their abode, in a place where they get sunshine in the day and a dark recess at night.

This blend is so comforting to me. I do get the lavender and along side of it on my wrist some snuggley vetiver. At this stage it reminds me of a more gentle You Are Not Alone. Perhaps from the softer patient voice of the little spider on my window sill who guards my home from encroaching critters  like a little candlelight symbolically casting off evil. Just a benevolent little friend taking care of me. The cardamom is just *barely there* for me. I agree the cognac adds a lace like effect, weaving in and out of the scent profile like my little friend and his web. Lovely.

Dries down to a soft blanket  draping the wrist of sandalwood and tonka.

Such a nice blend. Thank you.

  12. Lots of lily! The cherry is there on application like a little bright red jolt to the fragrance, but then it becomes a lily scent.  Pretty lilies, not indolic at all. It smells a little precious, like it thinks its special in its simplicity. it doesnt need to be anything but what it is, so there! . I guess it is a little precious then. I think this would be fun to layer with, I would want to try it with a white cake scent and may attempt so later. Precious with cake might be fun.

  13. I definitely got deep purple fruits smelling this.  I know, because it was sent to me as Purple Snails and I was surprised that the violets smelled purple and  fruity. Then I slathered it, to see what else the odd “violets” would do and smelled coconut. At this point I ignored cap label and looked at bottle and saw friend had sent me The Initiation. She is blaming “old eyes” and small cursive. This is Something I would have never bought or tried because I hate coconut and now I have slathered it because I needed to know what else those violets were gonna do.

Anyhow, Its actually quite  pretty, Smells like summer fading into fall.  That coconut summer sun regressing into the warmth of late summer peaches and early fall wines. This was a luper, but I feel it could of made it way into other seasonal releases,  Its very inviting and I wish the coconut would just Go Away but as summer fights the passing of seasons, so doth this Cocos nucifera. Ahem. Its present all the way through dry down. Balanced presentation and its not amping, but meh,  Its going to my swap list but I enjoyed getting to test it and it was a fun puzzle.

  14. Lemon is a complicated note on my skin and its failing me right now, This goes on with a sharp ginger and tea that I thought was summery and spa like and dove my nose in to huff. But it dried down in my skin to lemon furniture polish. The ginger was a fleeting top note on me, and what would have redeemed the scent. I can get whiffs os the white tea, but its hidden behind Mean Ole Lemon.

  15. I could also see this as having violets. I get a note like incense sticks from Papilio Androgenius Epidarus that is prominent in bottle and when wet. I have them both on my skin, side by side to test. IMO, Insects has more fruit. Its juicy somehow. Papilio Androgenius Epidarus shines on drydown when it becomes dark dried fruits and dry brittle flower petals, something green in here, but its also brittle. Purple, but somehow ashen.

Insects is the more vibrant sister scent, pretty and juicy, living breathing florals. I prefer Insects but imagine others would like Papilio Androgenius Epidarus better.

  16. The reviews on this one make me wonder if we are testing the same scent. 😂

On me this is cinnamon Red Hots and Dusty, Stale Nope. This dusty, stale nope accord (whatever it is) gives me great hope though as I recognize it from some older bottles I thought had went off with aging. I like that it is just my interpretation of an accord.

Without the Red Hots, this could be a super good bookish blend. Like, I enjoy the scent of dusty book bindings especially with leather! But the actual deal breaker is the Cinnabomb.

Dusty Book Bindings and Red Hots.

I did not perceive cardamom sugar, vanilla or jasmine.

  17. This is super pretty. It smells gently of purple. It is not overwhelming in fruit, and it is not juicy. Just enough plum to knock down the indoles which are present on first application and fleeting away as the plum surfaces. It has a playful bright touch, not heady or commanding of your notice, just resting on the wrist delicately. Flickering purple and sometimes green. More plum would not belong in this blend, it would make it juicy and more late summer.  So far this is the most fitting of the luper/spring scents i have tried for the release. It really does remind one of spring and the joyful revival from winter it brings, such as chasing fireflies. Beth has such lovely artistic renderings of moods and this one perfectly nurtures my need for sunshine and play.  I am not perceiving this as an aquatic with the water lily,  more a slight green tinge which seems to flicker like the plum.

Will update with dry down tonight.

  18. I agree so much that this is akin to (Not So) Penitent (Mini) Magdalene. Its a lovely, cozy beeswax scent and for those who love book adjacent fragrances its perfect. Its so smooth, which I attribute to the lotus which seems to be so light in this blend. Its a comforting scent, with these spring days often waxing gothic with sudden turns from spring warmth to rain, darkness and chill. I often imagine this would be gorgeous in the autumn, for the same reasons but for me, someone who relies on an ereader to be lulled into sleep, its going to be a lovely perfume to give me the aesthetic of paper and candle.

  19. This is the best pistachio note I have had from the lab! And there isnt a cinnabomb aspect (not even when applied to skin) or spiceyness to the pumpkin cupcake, Its just super decadent nutty gourd perfection. There is a butteriness to it, but its not sour or milky. Just creamy like frosting should be! Delightful and so glad I snagged this etsy release, ❤️

  20. This is pretty. Very airy almost other worldly sandalwood loosely grasps a bouquet of lavender and the memory of a a single rosebud. The marshmallow just adds some sweetness, blurring the edges of what can be herbal harshness of lavender. The entire scent is as if viewing the world through a blurred lens, as if you have softened the gaze of your eyes and removed the focus of vision, to only take in your overall surroundings and omit a focal point. It is not a skin scent, I find I need very little to enjoy this delicate fragrance.

  21. This is a hair gloss I and my sister both bought back ups of. It is not overly spiced as some pumpkin blends can be. It really is a blueberry MUFFIN with the addition of pumpkin to add autumnal oopfh. Wears for hours. I like it with NAVA pumpkin 5.

It comes up on etsy, when it does snag!

  22. Marshmallows, Gumdrops and Peppermint Canes. Hey! I put off testing this because it was one of the first Yules I saw being destashed on the regular. But, it is *nice*.  I definitely can smell background spices, but as a cinnamon amper, they are not causing any issues here,  I do not smell the marshmallow per se, but the overall experience is poofy candy. I agree with @starbrow who said it was like a 1980s candy shop. My grandfather owned a little country grocer with wooden floors and candy in barrels called “Sunny South Market”. I am also reminded of Vermont Country Store, a mail order company in the North East that specializes in vintage brands of candies. Its a pleasant jumble, but some might find that part disconcerting as the accords  do not meld, but more fight for dominance… I like that, because it feels as if each candy is individually representing, instead of a melting pot of scent. Loving the peppermint here, its so sweet, like a soft peppermint stick. Not much anise on my skin, but definitely some warmth, like what you would find in gumdrops spice drops!  So fun! Perfectly wearable on me, not overly gourmand, just nostalgic.

  23. White Rabbit! Oh, I am loving this one enough to FS it. First, “black tea” from the lab often reads as a spice bomb on me, but,  Here, it is so subdued. The top note is that white pepper. I love pepper in perfumes ever since I tried Arcana Haint. If that soft lofty floral is the linen THEN GIVE ME ALL YOUR LINEN. Reminds me of the “fluttering white cotton” in Boo! I might slather test to see if it passes a big wear. No sour milky note, Just gentle and creamy, Reads more like a foodie vanilla than milk, but over all not foodie. Wow, I think I wanna layer with Boo HG, as I think they would be so complimentary. This is a lovely anytime scent, but feel it would be perfect for afternoons out when your hair is in a sloppy bun and your shoes are open toed, theres a beverage to sip, and it feels lovely to just have free time to linger as you seldom get that and want to take some self care. This is a fragrance for slowing down and relishing the moment. The scent of respite.

  24. Titania is so lovely. I get alot of sweet pea here and sweet pea is in my top three floral notes!  Reading the reviews I can get where some got alot of grape, but on me its perfectly blended. I am surprised this hasnt been suggested more often to flourmand lovers. This feels summery, like an evening out on the veranda, sipping white wine and chatting with friends, with a late summer breeze blowing ripe fruits and flowers across the wrists and nape of neck.
