    Milk Chocolate & Honey Cream

This one is really lovely. Its the softest milk chocolate note with a sweet honey. I would say it is more honey than chocolate.Very sweet. Its cuddly chocolate. Fresh honeycomb dipped in milky chocolate. I love this one but I love honey.

    Cacao-Dusted Rose Petals

My very first whiff of this was glorious, perfect balance of cocoa and rose petals, like an artisan chocolate. However, when I went back to sniff test after having tested the other box of chocolate scents which were more chocolate dominant, I could no longer find anything cocoa in this blend. Then it was more a rose geranium to my nose, and a single note at that. Dry down this blend is only rose on me. Its a youthful rose, lively and bright. Cocoa haters would enjoy this blend and like the ambiance of cocoa as a dry note, and not candied or gourmand.

    Black Fig & Cherry

Extremely linear and no morphing. This scent is exactly the same twelve hours later, and definitely has a solid throw. I do prefer dried fig (which to me is sweeter), and this is a fresh leaning toward greenish fig. Same fig note as in Waltzing Matilda to my nose, but Matilda is more gourmand with the vanilla. Small burst of fruit in this blend that is consistent throughout to dry down. Its a simple blend, but strong throw. I think it was an excellent addition to the cherry bomb collection and I really enjoy the variety of blends here.

    Pink Cherry & Pink Pepper

Almond and pepper. I do not care for cherry turning almond, but it actually works here. The almond note: a nutty cherry seed perhaps- is really good with pepper. Gourmand, but not desert. Might be fun for layering. If layering, I would want to put it with a peach, or maybe a really sweet cake/vanilla. OMG, yes..... pair it as a layering note, nom, nom.

    Green Lovebird

such a chilly mint. It is refreshing to see such a lovely minty scent in lupers as its traditionally a yule note. I do not get pistachio here, and I am grateful as that is another note that goes almond on my skin. What I did get is a vanilla thats gourmand with a chilly mint. The spun sugar make this mint seem more buttery than say a traditional peppermint. It felt like Smelling pillow mints. Pretty.

    A Vision of the Courtesan

This is so so so yum. The rice milk is the star here, and it reminds me really of a True Horchata. Not that fake extrait that smells like a cinnabomb. The real deal. OMG. I was so happy and kept sniffing and never ever did this go cinnabomb and spice isnt listed but i smelled spice, the nicest light spice. The tobacco isnt the star here, its a supporting player just adding a rich depth to the rice milk. Maybe the frank is the spice. I asked starbrow to sniff it cause it was so lovely and she immediately went and got the only bottle. 🤣It really is nice and sort of puts the NAVA rice milk blends out to pasture. Its not unisex but its not feminine or masculine. its defying category for me. Its yummy but not gourmand, its spicey but not oriental, its .... well, it is Magic. Did you read that? Once more for those in the back.... Magic.

    Champagne & Maraschino Cherries

“Bright fizzy almonds” was my note from lunacy. Why does maraschino cherry smells like almonds? Because Maraschino cherries are cured with almond extract. Without the bright red fruit, and the texture of a cherry to taste, I think “almond” and nothing else. *twelve hours later the almond has totally died off and its a floral cherry. I get sort of a spa shampoo.

    Egoyomi

Very true canned peaches and syrup. Not plastic or fake, quite realistic. Extremely good as a layering note. I read Starbrows review and didn't see her notes before hand and thinking its so odd because I wrote it in parenthesis beside the scent (corn). So random! Keep in mind we are scent twins. But thats so interesting. I didn't get honey, but the sandalwood definitely presents on dry down as this soft feminine note. It is pretty. Peach fans will love it. Peach dominant.

    Couple Reading Erotic Scroll

This is one that I was very excited to try at Lunacy and I am glad I did get to try for the blackberry as its a note I am always on the hunt for. I adore blackberry and this one is juicy and not artificial at all. Its realistic of ripe summer off the vine blackberries and when first applied made me so happy. The rice milk is creamy and light and Such a great accoutrement to those luscious juicy blackberries. However, this went a tiny bit playdoh on me one hour in. I think this may be the bergamot as it was unexpected and please keep in mind that I have issues with snake oil also being playdoh and this scent was brand new and had not had the benefit of resting. Other than that, so very pretty and such a nice scent to get to try.

    Cheerful Oxen

This really is a warm and fuzzy scent and I agree with *starbrow. Its soft and cozy and not indolic,. For me this was a skin scent. Soft and nice. Something to turn to on days when you need a reliable scent thats not invasive, or provocative. Reliable, steady, dependable. You need something rock solid to lean on? Need a hug? This scent.

Dalliance with an Amorous Bat Demon

This has a combination of notes that go Cola on me. Benzoin and Labdanum are cola on me and this was not an exception. First, WHY HAS NO ONE MADE A PATCHOULI COLA? Really, while I am not a cola fan, I can actually appreciate the the scent as an esoteric interpretation of Cola. Hippy Cola. An unorthodox sparkling concoction. A tribute to the fizzy generation of cola drinking Hippys before Soda became a bad word and CBD became a buzz word. Dry down the fizz is gone (atleast on Starbows husbands arm), but while it is forefront how fun! A nice patchouli, not dank or funky, but really warm and playful, which I would say is fhe defining aspect for me: playful. dry down twelve hours later: the patchouli is smooth and the cola scent from before presents as a sort of seltzer (*starbrow said salty). The dank is gone. Nice blend.

    Pink Lovebird

I smell dry cake mix and cardamom. The cotton candy manifests more as a sweetness than a singular dominant note, but, its definitely “pink” and girly. I do not get the comparison to cardamom cream cheese cake but thats because the latter amped cheese on me. As far as what might make this better than another cardamom cake scent, it would definitely be the girlish accent the cotton candy gives the scent though its a supporting note you might have to think upon rather than forward.

    Wild Rose & Cherry

No almonds, but not a winner. I think this is a nice rose scent for those who love roses and also who like a rose on the sweeter side as the cherry leans sweet to me. My issue is that I amp rose scents and this was not an exception. Teensy bit powdery, but not unlike most roses so again if roses are your jam, this actually does smell like “rose jam”.

    Black Cherry & Oud

If you love Indole scents, this one is for you! It is like cherry poop. 😮 I have no patience for aging to see what it becomes with time, but will follow this thread to see what joyous nonpoopy scent it becomes with some time.

    Thorns Clove Cigarette

Disappointed. I think I was wanting more of an atmospheric of clove cigerettes. The leather jacket, the clove, some smoke and maybe *something* evocative of the time period. Will restest this today but I just amped clove and I do not need SN clove. If my retest after a weeks rest changes my mind I will edit.

    Gingerbread & Peppermint Candies

Reminded me so much of candy canes, Snickerdoodle, powdered sugar and vanilla cream hair gloss from last year. Which I have a back up of. So beautifully winter, so cozily gingerbread. Would be excellent to pair with the hair gloss, and on my skin the peppermint seemed to keep any spices from amping. I wish this were an atmo! Really lovely. *sighs*

    Brown Butter Bourbon Cookie

I bottle sniffed and passed up at first because on bottle sniff it’s a super sticky sweet butterscotch. Like, warm melted ones that sat too close to the stove in their nestle bag of chips. Waxy, sweet, buttery, OMG my teeth hurt. But, Starbrow was smiling happily and I asked her why and she thrust this into my face from a skin test on her arm. Then I decided to skin test because on her, Out of bottle, it smelled like butterscotch BLONDIE. I agree that this is a cookie note, and I do not know what it is that makes it smell cookie, because I didn’t get gluten or flour or baked good smell. It’s like salt? Something in cookie mixes and brownies that takes the edge off the sweetness that when wet you don’t pick up (why we lick spoons, hello, all sugar) but when baked transforms into a delightful dessert where sweet is balanced by something. That something is here. Definitely ambiance of cookies or brownies (blondies) and so good. Also, no perfume note at all. Just gourmand. ALL GOURMAND. and a bit of salt.

Gingerbread, Honey Dust, & Vanilla Bean

This was a sweet one to test at lunacy. Gourmand, but not cake. It dies down to a lot of honey, so you have to be a honey lover like I am. However, I amped Cinnamon in this. I sometimes wonder if I just amp every sort of spice and think it’s cinnamon but I know it wasn’t ginger. The vanilla was a nice addition here and the lab used it beautifully in all the yules. All of the vanilla was foodie that I smelled, and a foodie cream at that. Yum! However, if you also amp cinnamon' gingerbread candy floss is the way to go. It was not spice dominant at all.

    Gingerbread & Candyfloss

Alas. The fluffy sweet carnival treat I didn’t know existed. Who decided to pipe my molasses confection with cotton candy? Who lives in this house? Dude, you just broke the fourth wall. You must know me. You got into my head. No cinnabomb at all. I wonder if the world is real at all. Help. I was startled and didn’t buy a bottle. I have regrets.

Cafe au Lait & a Wool Blanket

I wouldn’t call this a coffee scent. More, sitting reflective and cozy under a blanket by the last dregs of coffee in a porcelain cup. Milky dessert coffee cause who doesn’t want to sit pampered under a blanket with a sweet warm drink in the midst of winter? The soul is warmed. The wrist is warmed. More atmospheric and conceptual than coffee. Coffee peeps wear this because you *know* how lovely those lingering moments are when the cup is empty but the body and spirit still warmed, and Everyone else because you deserve to feel special. ❤️

Coffee Bean, Cardamom, & Vanilla Pod

I stuffed my arm, literally my entire forearm, into everyone’s face tonight at the dirty south lunacy because WHOA I LOVE THIS. I have this unusual issue with absolutely thinking coffee is the best scent ever (including haunting a local Starbucks so much that they gave me the velvet chair I sat in every day when they remodeled, hello I can share a picture) and thinking old coffee smells like my mean old cat Emmett peed somewhere sneaky. All coffee does the cat pee thing about an hour in..... Starbucks. My dads expensive imported Columbia’s.... even decaf in a jar and unfortunately even OMG Yankee coffee candle which I figured someone whipped up out of BS, not actually really used anything related to coffee. But fresh coffee is literally my go to comfort, and reminds me of having two sets of newborn twins and how my husband let me take off every Sunday and said “Take the day, stay away until you miss us” and me sipping an over priced blend in a velvet chair and reading golden age detection and parenting like I was single and childless and indulging in SELF CARE..... the smell of Coffee House was comfort food to my *soul* .....but after going home to my lovely babies and husband my clothing smelled like stank. So much yuck. Old coffee yuck. Teachers lounge yuck. But being there when the coffee is fresh brewed.....yes...... So, I wanted everyone to sniff my forearm because I got no cat. I got no cat then, I get no cat now (four hours is the prettiest coffee blend . Everyone is trending Cardamom but this is the most creative use to date, and I love how the vanilla and Cardamom add sweetness and a bit of crunch to the coffee. Yes crunch. It’s desert like, but the Cardamom is slightly nutty (not alone!). The kind of yummy Cardamom adding ambiance and glamour to your Basic Vanilla Latte. Yum. I bought full size.

    Butterscotch Latte

Last years bonfire toffee with coffee and some milk to whip it up yum. Last years bonfire toffee was a keeper for me and a butterscotch I adore, in fact I am going to go pull it out of my trunk to wear tomorrow. Not the best of this years coffee releases but if you missed out on bonfire toffee and you love coffee this is a winner. Did you think bonfire toffee had a touch of a cologne note? It is here, too. It’s similar to that slight perfume vibe their tobacco has that I love. Perhaps that might also make this one something to try for you because of all the coffee scents it was the only one I tested tonight that had that cologne or perfume note (I do not mean dead leaves, I specifically mean the light perfume vibe that accompanies tobacco blends like French Tobacco LN) that the BPal tobacco blends and the bonfire toffee (and also pumpkin tobacco) have. If this doesn’t sound like a rave, It is only because a few of the coffee blends were the standouts for me. 6/10 only lower than 7 because of not being as original as the coffee Cardamom and coffee wool blanket blend.

    The Poinsettia Gown

I am so happy to review this for the vanilla lovers. I can safely attest to the vanilla. It’s creamy, wait.... the description says creamy so why am I just repeating the scent description? Right, that would be silly. So, what I want to say is this, IT REALLY IS A LOVELY VANILLA CREAM BUT. yes. BUT... and again BUT, if you don’t like florals this isn’t the gourmand blend that’s gonna make you appreciate florals cause they are being hugged by this gorgeous vanilla blanket of fluffy, sweet, comforting, warmth. Cause, all mixed in with that vanilla is FLORAL. And it’s a heady jasmine blend with an undercurrent of old English roses. First blooming roses that don’t repeat the good kind that English gardeners grow well and Americans try to emulate. But. It’s floral. i don’t like floral. i don’t like jasmine. so, if you like vanilla and you like floral you will appreciate this so much as the vanilla really is an embrace. Wrapping the florals up in the softest sweet warmth. But, there are still big fat bouquets of flowers wrapped up in that blanket and it will not smother them. ahem.

    Black Coffee & Old Books

Similar to the book scent from BOOKS in the recent release. My review was that it smelled more like new books than old, and I wondered what it would smell like upon aging. So, this smells like new books and the scent of coffee. Not sweetened. Bitter. Acidic. I walked away from this scent saying it smelled like “Adjunct professor grading final exams”. Surely on its own a scent memory for many people, and something to try. Not for me, but that is because I want my coffee to smell like dessert, and with a side of really really old books... musty in the paperback swap package, with writing underlining the most precious quotes and soft leather holding the tattered pages together.

    Coffee Beans & Copal

So, I got stuck on the fact this didn’t smell like brewed coffee until I reread the scent description and realized it’s *beans*. With this in mind, this is a non brewed coffee (light), with a skin musk type scent. You haven’t grinned the beans yet, it’s not something beckoning you into a coffee shop, it’s just nice pleasant beans. Maybe they are waiting to be rinsed and packaged for harvesting but they are not screaming Teachers Lounge or Hello Grinder. I hoped it would be more resinous but It’s pretty. I would think it’s a good scent for someone wishing to dabble in coffee perfumes but perhaps not wanting to smell like a barista. ONCE I got over reading the label wrong (cough cough) I enjoyed the scent for exactly what it was and felt it was a really nice addition to the yule coffee scents and appreciated the variants of coffee they offered, Very nice, very innocuous, pleasant, socially acceptable even to tea drinkers, coffee.
