I smelled citrus in the bottle and was a bit leery. I have a tiny bit of congestion today so I will reapply this later to see if it affected this. on wet I smell bitter orange pith, but as it drys it get sweeter and sweeter for me this is a really fruity summer blend and so far I like it!

in the bottle I got a crazy strong astringent smell. on me the first 15 mins was all ash ash ash. It wasn't a bad ash like djinn. I sort of liked it. It kept getting sweeter and sweeter and I think I like it a lot. I am going to retest and see cuz its an odd scent for sure.

this is the best dragons blood I have ever smelt. Its not an everyday scent for me but wow it is fabulous.

in the begining I got a really spicy creamy smell that reminded me of a kitchen on the holidays. this lasted for a good 2-3 hours and it was just not really my style. Later on though it lost all its spice and I loved it but I am not sure I want to wait that long.

in the bottle this smells sweet and a tad sharp but i was hoping the honey would really shine through. It did not. the second this hit my skin I smelled lilacs. which is odd I would get hints of rose here and there but no sweetness at all. If I was a fan of florals I would like this a lot cuz it IS pretty but florals and me do not mingle so alas to the swaps.

I did not know the notes when I put this on. in the bottle this is syrupy sweet but in a good way. on I got a whiff of almond and then a sweet sweet cherry. I never had a whiff of chocolate. This smelled really nice but lasted less than 45 mins before dissappearing on me.

I just typed out a long reply and the board ate it! lol needless to say this starts out in the bottle sweet and yummy with barely a hint of musk, on skin you can barely detect a chocolate scent which is warm and buttery like cocoa butter, no bitter chocolate here. when the scent settles into itself for the long haul the musk develops a bit of a dirt smell and the creamy sweetness goes spicy. this is a nice scent but I need to where it again later to see if its love.

I am still a newb with scents but I made baklava 2 nights ago and the rose water in it probably plays a factor in smell. I know it does for my pastry, in fact most baklava doesn't even have honey in it traditionally,I believe thats an iranian addition. Maybe layering a light rose bpal scent with another scent would help fill in the scent gap.

I will start by saying this is the 06 version. in the bottle this was obviously very sweet and somewhat fruity. I really enjoyed it. So I applied it and oh God it was terrible. I mean for me it was like horrible sweet candle from hobby lobby gone wrong. this is my first bpal I had to wash off. I do not know what my skin amped but it was a bad bad thing. oh and this is also the first bpal that did not morph at all. for close to 2 hours there was no change.

I was supposed to be in love with this scent! I almost bought a big bottle nose unsmelled lol! ok in the bottle I get a sweet almost alcoholly vanilla smell....not unpleaseant. on wet it goes straight to berry play dough ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww after like a minute I smell a hint of some of the smell I love in drink me and its good but it goes back to almsot a fakey sweetness. after a little while a beauitful berry smell comes forth but it really doesn't last for more than a half an hour and for the rest of the time I get a sweet and almsot spicy smell that does nothing for mer at all. I will try it again in a week or so I think because i relaly want to love this.

from the bottle I got an almost anise-y smell which almost made me swap it without even trying but a little dab landed on my hand and I sniffed it and smelt almost like a watery fruit smell which was interesting so I thought what the heck and dabbed some on. On wet this sort of reminded me of the lightness of petite morte but a bit darker and then it faded to nothing for like 10 minutes. I kept sniffing and was like wow that was a fast fade but It came back and has stayed strong with kind of a deep green resin if there is such a thing and kind of a light fruityness hovering on the sides. I never would have ordered this I got it as a frimp from the lovely pamplemouse and I really like it. I am gonna hold on to see if this is a 5ml order.

when I first put this on it had a wine-berry quality to it that made me think rich dark fruits like grapes but not grapes. As it drys down for me it goes less fruity and more creamy sweetness. Not vanilla cream it is still most definitely fruit. There is a depth in the background but it doesn't smell powdery and sensual like amber does normally. This is a youthful fragrance to me. I really enjoy it. I will be getting a bottle.

I am going to have to come back to this to give it a more thorough review. but needless to say I really enjoyed this. Als this was the first bpal scent I have ever tried that someone said they loved what I was wearing. More importantly it was my mother who has worn opium and opium alone since the fragrance came out. She wants me to get her a bottle of this now.

Heavy incense notes waft lazily through a mix of carnation, jasmine, bergamot, and neroli over a lush bed of dark mosses, iris blossom, deep patchouli and indolent vetiver. wow this is everything I hoped it would be. such a sweet smoke. I can actually see the caterpillar in his glen reclining. its a lackadaisical scent. there is a lot going on in it but it all works so very well.

wow this is all musk on me. in fact its almost masculine it is so musky. I get very little sweetness at all. When the musk finally settles just the wee bit that it does I get whiffs of the morrocan unguents. the reminds me of hot spicy deserts. Its sexy in a middle eastern way. scarlet red definitely comes to mind. I am wearing this again because looking at the notes it seems like SUCH a winner but sadly it jsut does not work for me at all. Its to sharp for me and just altogether wrong.

at first putting this on I had forgotten the notes but I immediately smelled the wines/grape aspect....not as strongly as other oils from bpal but it was a delightful scent because the tobacco flower and carnation added a deep dark depth to the scent. on the drydown the honey and musk really shine for me. I do not know what opoponax smells like so that doesn't aid in my description but I really enjoy this scent. its a murky sweet oil with a lot of bits and pieces that make a gorgeous whole.

I really liked this in the bottle. I cant even describe the smell. on it was completely different but good. it was incensy but the sweetest incense I have ever smelled. It was a very youthful smell to me. a few hours later someone else smelled me and said it smelled like a baby. not baby powder but a baby haha so maybe me chemistry is odd.

at first it was a very spicy woody vanilla. totally awesome. very quickly though its morphs me into a very normal vanilla flavor. like bbw warm vanilla sugar. hopefully it morphs back

wow. this is warm and sexy. this is me. the honey is spicy and not to sweet.the word heady comes to mind. A beautiful norse goddess who has perhaps gotten a bit typsy on mead. this would pair amazingly well with lush's Flying Fox. they arent identical at all but they are akin.

... However, this bottle was not marked `poison,' so Alice ventured to taste it, and finding it very nice, (it had, in fact, a sort of mixed flavour of cherry-tart, custard, pine-apple, roast turkey, toffee, and hot buttered toast,) she very soon finished it off. this is awesome! at first its like tart sweet cherries and then a buttery note comes in that stays for hours. its great. I love this scent.

wow the first 5 minutes was awesome smokey goodness. a bit sharp but when is smoke not sharp lol! after that it was mildly soapy and suprisingly clean smelling for a few hours. slowly the smoke smell creeps back in but never at its peak like in the beginning. I wish it stayed longer.

I thought this scent sounded so odd and fun that I had to get it. I was shocked at how much I really like it. Its clean but there is a murky undertone from the smoke smell. I think the strongest scent is the dandelion. It does smell like weeds but not in a bad way at all. The boozyness really just adds a sweetness to the smell. You wouldn't be able to detect a bubbly-ness to it really or at least I can not.

wow. this is not for me at all. It is brutal to my nose.

this burned my nose...even after a few hours of wearing it I would sniff my wrist and my nostrils would tingle. the smell underneath the burn smells pleasant but I can't get over the harshness of the mint to get to the nice smell.

I don't know what the heck is wrong with me....in the bottle is smelled wonderfull. On me it smells JUST like mildewy dishrags.....its horrible....like bile inducing.
