Bridal BPAL - BPAL for weddings?

I'm getting married in May and would love to find a BPAL scent to wear on the big day, and I'm just wondering if anyone has suggestions for something suitable. I'm hoping to find something "sweet and sensual, earthy and sophisticated." Generally I like woodsy scents with musky, resinous tones. Notes that I like include patchouli, vetiver, citrus, peony, amber, sandalwood, herbs and spices, fresh greens, black tea, honey, and cream. In fact there's not a lot I don't like, but I'm not keen on fragrances that are too floral, sweet, powdery, or aquatic. Oddly enough the commercial perfumes I wear regularly are Coco Mademoiselle and Versace Crystal Noir. Our wedding has a somewhat woodland theme (the colors are sage green and brown and I've included a lot of branches and leaves into the decor), and my bouquet is going to include fern, dogwood, hellebore, and ranunculus. I know that's kind of a tall order but it doesn't have to include all those elements by any means. If anyone can think of BPAL scents reminiscent of any of those things, go ahead and throw them at me. I'm willing to give all sorts of new things a try. Thanks!

    Aureus

From my LJ today: "Today I'm wearing Aureus, and I smell like a dirty hippy. The potency of the patchouli smell is almighty, and while it doesn't exactly make me feel like I'm floating about in an incomparably glorious haze of golden light, I do kind of feel like putting on a broomstick skirt and some love beads and waving my arms around in a lackadaisical fashion while I stuff daisies down gun barrels or something. I guess that's okay. I think I'll keep the imp; it's not as sexy a patchouli smell as Vixen (I'm sorry, nothing is as sexy as Vixen), but maybe sometimes I want to smell like a dirty hippy. Keeps the sockless-loafer-wearing set away." In the bottle: Patchouli! Wet: Patchouli continues, but now I can detect hints of a coniferous resin scent. Reminds me of a spray I used to have, where the glass bottle contained pine sprays and river rocks. Driving to work the scent is a little overwhelming; sadly, too hot to leave the air conditioner off and drive with windows open. Drydown: Ultimately it smells very resinous, a strong amber and patchouli scent. It's dried and mellowed so it's a tad more powdery, although it still has a powerful throw to it. The cedar's nice. A bit too strong for regular wear, but likeable. I do get a sense of golden light from smelling it: the thick, syrupy kind of sunlight that filters through the trees when you're in the woods on a clear day, just before dusk. That's my favorite kind of light, so I'll keep this around when I need a dose of sunshine.

    Crowley

Bought this because Crowley is one of my favorite literary characters EVAR and wound up giving it to my fiance since it's so masculine, and he needs more things that smell good. He opened the bottle and said it smelled like a head shop. I, for some reason, smelled lavender. Definitely strong whiffs of old-fashioned men's cologne, and patchouli. In the end he came around, though; I guess he doesn't mind smelling like a head shop... We went for a walk in the woods and I kept getting whiffs of the perfume on the air, sometimes from a few feet away. It lasted all day on him, and the scent mixed with the smell of his sweat was irresistable. Very, very, very sexy. I hope he wears it often. I think next we'll try Aziraphale on him.

    Tweedledee

Got this as a freebie imp with a recent order. No point in breaking this scent down between in the bottle, wet, and drydown, because it did not change perceptibly on me at all. At most, the white tea notes became more prominent in drydown but overall it's the same sugary-sweet, juicy scent the whole way through. A little too sweet for my tastes, but likeable nonetheless. Has a nicely balanced throw, not too strong and not too faint, and tremendous lasting power. Actually today is very rainy and gray so having such a bright, sunny fragrance on has been uplifting. I'd really like to try Tweedledum and see how the two layer. I already promised the vial to someone else, though, so maybe I'll have to get the two next time I'm ordering imps.

    Vixen

A favorite scent of mine, and absolutely the sexiest I own. My fiance, who rarely notices my perfume, always comments when I put this on. He loves the smell of it. I definitely feel vampier the moment I open the bottle. I not much more a fan of patchouli than I am of orange blossom (I'm not one for florals at all), but for some reason the way the blend on me is just divine. A little sweet, a little smoky, all sexy. The spicy kick of ginger, one of my favorite smells, makes it even more of a knock-out. It's decidedly feminine, but in a feral way: it really does remind me of a lady fox, strutting around her den, driving all the boy foxes wild. I find that Vixen has a heavy throw and I can always get a few hours of wear before she fades away. It's a confidence-boosting scent, and I do notice the way men react to me changes when I'm wearing it. This is my default "I am going to wear my bedroom eyes and slinky red dress and stiletto heels and get some serious action tonight" fragrance. --Morgan

    White Rabbit

What I want to say is that this is one of my top three fragrances of all time. It smells of some of my favorite things-- tea, ginger, cream, honey, fresh grass, and pepper. Whenever I wear this, my mood instantly brightens; it makes me so happy. It is not cloying or overwhelming or anything, just pure joy to me, and it's thankfully also one of the longest-lasting BPAL scents I've worn. One night I rolled around on the floor for forty-five minutes, smelling myself and giggling. It probably had something to do with the copious amounts of soda I'd been drinking, but I can't think of any other fragrance that would provoke that sort of reaction in me. Are they putting something illegal in this? --Morgan

    Cthulhu

I purchased this to reward myself for completing a Cthulhu-themed lolita costume, even though I'm not much for aquatic scents. Too bad I didn't have it in time for the costume's premiere. In the bottle: Smells pretty much like the "ocean" oil I have; whatever they do to make that note, it's in basically every aquatic-themed perfume I've ever smelled. I was a little disappointed at first sniff because I'd been hoping for something weirder. On the skin: While wet, some greenish, herbal and musk notes started coming through. As it dried these notes intensified. It's definitely got some sort of light musk thing going on (which tends to, unhappily, turn powdery on me), along with a faint hint of something slightly astringent, almost like witch hazel. It smells salty and vegetal, like seaweed. There's a nicely balanced throw to it-- not overwhelming, but I can definitely tell it's there. Four hours later the overall smell is much weaker, but it still has more holding power than any conventional perfumes I wear. Conclusion: I don't think this is for frequent use, but I plan on wearing it any time I'm in a Cthulhu sort of mood. It will nicely complement the bronze Cthulhu pendant I picked up recently, whenever I find occasion to wear that. From reading other reviews, I also want to try it on the man since he needs to find some decent new smells. --Morgan
