  1. When I first put it on it's a very strong, heady fruity-floral. It smelled almost like walking into Bath & Body Works, when the scent hits you. Anyway, it mellows throughout the day, but there's still the fruitiness. I don't think I like it.

  2. I can't pick out any individual notes other than ozone, but I did smell something citrus-y. Maybe grapefruit? Anyway, it smelled nice for about 10 minutes and then faded into the ... (wait for it)... ether (feel free to groan now).

  3. At first it smells like Aglaea's more sophisticated older sister, the one you want to steal clothes from, and look up to for taste in music and men.

Then she throws baby powder at you when you go to borrow a sweater.

  4. Scent: Initially, it smells like cough syrup and bubblegum, and it warms up to a rich, sensuous citrusy/vanilla/resin. Very hedonistic--like a cat.

    Ritual aspect:

I've packed away all my candles and ritual objects, as I'm about to move, so I decided to anoint myself. I anointed my chakra points and the palms of my hands. I chanted a mantra and then I went to bed. I concentrated on banishing poverty and want, and increasing happiness and hope.

The next day I received the first of three payments I was waiting for, and I started to worry less about money. My current room got rented, so that I can move out into my new place and get my security deposit from my current place. In general I've been calmer and had a more positive outlook.

I am very pleased with this oil. :P

  5. I definitely get the candy/Sweet Tarts smell, though it reminds me more of gummy candies. The neroli comes out strong on my skin. There's something in the background that I'm not liking at all. I can't really tell what it is, though, so that makes it even more disappointing :P

  6. There's way too much mint here, unfortunately. I keep sniffing it and hoping that the mint will go away, because then it would be an absolutely lovely perfume. It reminds me so much of The Passionate Shepherd to His Love (must be the ivy and clover), and that's already my perfect "green" scent. Beltane is just not going to work out.

  7. I still haven't made up my mind if I like this or not :P

It starts out very floral, cloying and piercing. Then the vanilla amber and the beeswax play tug-of-war for an hour or so until it fades. It's nice and all, but every time I wear it, I think "Do I really want to try it again?" or "What's that smell--oh, yeah, it's me!" Hmmm.... I've never been this waffly about a perfume before. I'll most likely end up swapping it. How's that for conviction.

  8. It's very dusty. It doesn't smell anything like the incense I remember from Holy Thursday Mass (it's the occasion that most screams "Incense" to me). I think it smells more like unlit incense than actively burning incense. Also, it's making my skin where I'm testing very itchy.
