    Eos

At first I smell honeysuckle, and it's lovely. On my skin the jasmine comes out. It smells heavy, like spring florals coming out for the first time. It's a floral full of warmth and sunshine. It just reminds me of the first really hot day in spring. Sunshine, flowers blooming, and 85 degree temperatures.
  2. The perfected winter rose, dew covered and freshly cut. Water, saponified free-trade palm kernal oil, coconut oil, soy oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, castor oil, rose clay, and Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab perfume oil. The pressure of the first review! My soap arrived today, just when I needed it. I'd planned a relaxing bath for tonight, after the week I'd had. Rose Red soap was the perfect touch. The bar is a waxy rose color, and it was so well-wrapped that I couldn't smell it until I removed the plastic. It really is the perfect, dewy rose, with all the crisp greenery you get in the perfume. Only I think it's better in the soap (is that sacrilege?). Perhaps it's the concentration of scent, perhaps the steam and heat of the bathtub enhance the scent. It's a gorgeous scent, and I love it. As for the soap itself, the later was less than I'm used to, but this is my first time using a BPTP soap. My skin wasn't dry after using it. I really wish I could stock up on this stuff. I'd horde it like small, rose-scented pink gold bars.

    Nuit

... Her perfume is starry and crystalline, a jewel-clad and glittering paean to night: dazzling white musks, white rose and night-blooming jasmine with the soft moss of moonlit meadows, a waft of Egyptian incense, and a gentle breath of moonflower. I can barely make out the scent, this is such a light perfume. It's very soft. I mainly smell jasmine and moonflower. This will make a lovely night time scent.

    Masquerade

In the imp it smells dark and woodsy, with something almost choclate-y in the background. When I first put it on, I smell the orange blossom, but as it dries the patchouli dominates completely.

    Mme. Moriarty Claw Polish

This was a gift from my fabulous SW. I have a weakness for red nail polish, so Mme. Moriarty is a good choice for me. In the bottle, it's rather pink. It looks a little too light to be described as crimson. After two coats, and drying time, it darkens into a rich, deep crimson. It's shiny and dark and a very true shade. It doesn't tend to either blue or purple. It stays red. The polish goes on smooth, and it doesn't clump on the brush. As I just put it on, I can't comment as to potential chipping or staying power.

    Terrae Massage Oil

It's very earthy, but the clary sage is a little too high and sharp for me.

    Beltane 2006-- Greeny, herbal, happy.

    The Ecstacy of St. Theresa

This was an awesome birthday gift from my SW. In the bottle, I smell chamomile. It tends to be overpowering, or perhaps my nose is very sensitive to it as a top note. On my skin it's a gorgeous blend of frankincense and gardenia. It's holy and sexy at the same time.

    Long Night Moon

I'm amazed at how quickly this has become my bedtime scent. I put it on every night before going to sleep, and it calms me, and invites sleep. The idea of a long night of sleep is very welcoming. In the bottle it's heady with honeysuckle. On my skin it mellows into a gorgeous, nighttime floral.

    Capricorn 2007

I'm a Capricorn, but I have a hard time wearing pine scents, because they go all pine-sol almost immediately. I was almost not going to get this perfume, but I had to give it a try. I'm really glad I did. In the bottle, it's the rich pine of a Christmas tree shop set up outside. It's pine, but more than pine. It's living pine. On my skin, it mellows and is a rich, solid, earthy scent. I don't think I'll wear this every day, but it's a very, very good scent.

    Leanan Sidhe

In the bottle, it's green, herbal, almost, ever-so-slightly antiseptic. On my skin, it's a beautiful heathered, herbal, rain-soaked mossy, ever-so-slight floral.

    White Phoenix

There's something in the initial whiff that I'm not quite liking-- it might be the frangipani or the lotus root. Once it gets on my skin the mystery note gets absorbed by the musk. And then everything turns powdery.

    Moon Rose

Wet: this is a soft, fading, barely-there rose. Once it's on my skin, it actually gets stronger, but it's still a fairly light, innocuous rose. I think that's due to the moonflower. It's very pretty.

    Aquae Massage Oil

My initial impression is chamomile, and it becomes very green on my skin. I get lots of herbal overtones. It doesn't remind me of water. The carrier oil is very nice. It goes on thick, but it absorbs well, and isn't greasy. I'd love to have a massage with this oil.

    Melisande, The Puppet Mistress

Jasmine sambac is fabulous. It's jasmine and green, and mainly, just very sexy. In the bottle this Melisande is jasmine and vanilla, but on my skin it becomes smoky, musky, sexy, rich, green jasmine, with lots and lots of depth. I love it.

    Lysander

Wet: floral cologne Dry: still floral cologne. All the notes blend together so well that I can't distinguish any of them. It's nice, but not for me.

    Perversion

I hate the smell of tobacco. I really can't stand it, so there's no way I'll wear this scent. When it's done smelling like tobacco, it smells like a nice hot toddy, all that vanilla and rum. But it's too foody for me. Off to the swaps.

Hello, Ginger! The longer it's on, the more I smell of ginger. Not exactly my favorite smell.

    Nanshe

Wet: Lemon & Lavender On my skin: Whoa--- lemon. It smells very strongly of cleaning fluid for a few seconds, and then morphs into lemongrass, and I start to get hungry for Thai food.

    Lucy's Kiss

Wet: Spicy roses. I wish I could pin down the spices On skin: For a few seconds, I can smell the spices, but then it becomes all rose, all the time, which is just fine by me It's a very firm, proper rose.

    Szepasszony

... A chilly, tempestuous whirlwind of clear, airy notes, slashing rain, and a thin undercurrent of white flowers. Wet: ozone and flowers. It smells like a garden in the rain, or a really, really good greenhouse. Dry: soft, wet, flowers. I love this. It really reminds me of rain in a garden.

    Titania

In the bottle: sweet fruits Wet: Sweet roses, more flowers. Dry: It ends up being a very sweet rose. I like it.

    Sea of Tranquility

Wet: Spicy/sweet. On first sniff, it's very men's cologne/aftershave, but when I concentrate I can smell the sweetness of the passion flower and the rose otto. Drying: Sweet, watery floral. Dry: I can barely smell anything Even when I jam my wrist under my nose. It fades to nothing almost instantly. I really wanted to love this one, but how can I when I can't smell it? -- OK-- I should know better than to try to review when I have a head cold. So I'm trying this again. Wet: Still sweet and spicy, but a bit more fruity. I can definitely smell the passion flower. On the skin, the sandalwood comes out more, and for about a minute, it's almost overpowering powdery wood. Then it morphs into the glowing scent that others have mentioned. Then it mellows even more and the passion flower comes out. I've never had a scent go through so many changes on me. I'll have to keep this one around and test it out more.

    Thaleia

This is such an interesting perfume. When it's wet, at first, it's a very high, orange floral. Fruity, but with a bit of gardenia. Then it mellows a bit, and the tonka, honey and ylang-ylang come out. It's earthy and feminine at the same time. It lasts and lasts, and it has a bit of a throw. Wearing it makes me smile.

    White Light

Firstly, I am so glad I love the scent of White Light. I have had such a horrible time with the Voodoo Blends that I was doubting I'd be able to actually *wear* any of Beth's ritual or ritual-type oils. But I really do love this scent. It's sweet and floral and comforting, but there's a strength there, too. The scent reminds me of both White Moon and Swan Maiden, so I'm sure there is jasmine and gardenia in there somewhere. There's also a warmth, too. Maybe cinnamon? I'm not sure. But that warmth adds a layer of strength to the florals and makes this something beautiful. It's certainly a calming scent, and it's very useful in visualization. I can see a white light when I smell this scent. I used it today on my chakra points and on a white candle. I really want to use it in conjunction with Reiki. I need a bottle, or 5, or maybe a gallon
