When i was younger in autumn we made pomanders (oranges with clove buds sticked in) and this is exactly how they smelled after drying. It brings back the nostagic memories of dried leaves, playing with chestnuts, roasting nuts and drinking "bisschopswine' Makes me long for "sinterklaas' A Dutch celebration on the 5th of decemvber.... oh well

It smells strong of oranges and cloves.

Might go well with Lush Red Rooster for there are some of the same ingredients.

BTW yes it smells soapy but i do not consider that a bad thing

water of notre dame and dragons eye (it's the lily i guess)

sexy as hell, and that's something I don't say easily. Warm and sweet, comforting.

It's faintly aquatic. I love Lilac a lot but it's not very detectable to my nose.

It's not 'me' enough to buy a 5 ml (as i have too many scent I like more already) but will enjoy the imp till the bottom

no really I hate wasting BPAL even scents I am not fond of. I will freeze a imp of Bluebeard (no quinkel NOT IN THE GLASS VEIL!!!) and report back what happens

We know that Beth's oils last for about a year if stored correctly in a cool dark place, but....

Some of the bottles i have are more for spring/summer and also with the last orders soon I will posses a staple of autumn scent I would be able to wear at least for the next 5 years

What will happen to the scent and quality of the oils if i freeze them in small quantities and defreeze a bit in the season needed?

What i find suiting with these days are:

Hurricane (well that's quite obvious)

Blue Moon

Ultra Violet.

In the evening if it's wet cold and chill, I wear those comfy scents like Dana, O, Gluttony, Jack

I got two emails on the same day from Nella saying both orders have been shipped. So I will see this week whether i got two pachages or find the both orders in one parcel.

This is my cosy home and bedtime scent. It is long lasting, honest, en golden. Now i can detect the honey in other scents. It's a lot like O but without the naughty sex element. Love it!

I read through this whole thread, but I couldn't find a Lush/BPAL equation for Silky Underwear Powder. Does anyone know of one?

The drydown of Djinn is very much Fairy jasmine/silky underwear. Mind you out of the bottles it smells nowhere near SUW Also the drydown of hurricane has the same sort of scent, the soft powdery Lush scent

really amazing cause right out of the bottles and the first 30 minutes it is very yucky vetiverisch scent...

Even after finishing an entire Imp, I couln't make up my mind about this one.

I had already a 5ml on order, based on the description and reviews it sounded very 'me'

There are days I really like it and it's almost as sweet and good as Dana O shee, but stronger.

Most days unfortunately, it turns into a sour after shave/old spice kind of scent.

In the bottle it is so nice and spice and very unusual. I am kind of sad I finally have to admit it's not for me.

I was planning to put it up for swaps but forgot about the bottle. It has been aging in a cool dark place and today i decided to give it another try. It has already scent memories about the time i used it last year. In the end of summer it was very hot. And when i opend the bottle... BOOOM there was Hot August. This scent, I will probable never make up my mind about, but i will keep it around for a while...

The best cinnamon scent I tried do far!

This is a sweet cinnamon, not sharp cinnamon like in Voodoo or All night Long.

On my wrist it's all cinnamon cookie This will be my warming autumn/winter scent.

ETA: I still love this deeply but....the boy doesn't I came home today from sport and I had put a little dab(very tiny dab, honest!) after the shower. The boy opened the door and some minutes afterward started complaining what that yucky strong scent was, he even opened the windows(it's freezingly cold) and told me about 10 times to not ever wear it again at home

To be honest, I can hardly smell it.... well never mind I will enjoy it on days I am alone.

I ordered a 5ml unsniffed and I don't regret.

It's a good scent for days you want to smell delicious but not want to wear a extrovert scent. You can wear it to all occations without being overpowering perfumed.

It's initially fresh and minty. when the mints dissapear to the background it's warm soft and a bit sweet/berry-like

It has a slight resemblence with Blue Moon without the Cucumber and the Magic loaded feeling.

a nice pretty straightforward scent.

ETA: I first could't figure out what the drydown was but now i know on me its almost pure Ambergris, love it!

in the bottle: Lavender

on the skin wet: strong lavender is all i get ( no problem, I like lavender)

Dry: It's gone!! the lavender is gone and so is the rest of the notes, and I didn't even had the change to smell them!

This has never happened before, will give it another try on another day otherwise will use the imp to sprinkle my sheets and pillow, will be a great sleep inducer with the lavender.

Queen of Sheba, Gluttony,snake oil are my winter scents cause they are so cosy and warming.

Burning? yes, cinnamon? yes, do I like it? yes, does it work? yes, yes yes!!!!

It has a nice soft cinnamon smell but when i first put it on i didn't find it a very sexy scent. Then the boy came and although he is not a big BPAL fan he couldn't stop touching me and it ended.....well ehhhhh

I found so far all the Voodoo blends had their effect on the boy, that's a very good result

well, truly a comfort scent, No honey to me (I have single note of honey cannot seem to detect it in Dana O shee)

It's very soft, not long lasting and I am almost done with the 5ml (sure will reorder this) I love to get Lush snowcake again and use them together.

Often this is my bedtime scent, it seems to bring pleasant dreams. Also it calms me down. But Never used it outdoors because it's so faint and delicat.

Oberon is a scent I have to convince my boyfriend to wear. To me this is a real manly scent. Turns soapy on my skin eventhough Patchouli and Juniper are favourites.

Never thought I would find a signature scent but.....

Ultraviolet comes really close, only wearing it for the first time today but it is so perfect.

First a head cleaning eucalyptus, when it mellows there is the most perfect violet. I was long looking for a violet scent and thining to buy the single note, but this is better, longlasting and complex. It is clean and fresh and wearable at any occation during daytime.

How was i wrong thinking that sweet foody scent where my first love....

I have no idea what Play doh smells like

yesterday I put All night long (also Voodoo blend) and although it didn't actualy burn, everywhere i applied it left red hot circles.

That made me wonder.....

*whispers* should it be applied somewhere else than on the skin

A very strong citrus scent is all i get out of the bottle, a great wake up scent! However like all cirtus scents on my skin it lasts about 5 minutes... there is only a very bland reminder on the place the scent once was...

Will keep the imp in my purse to sniff it in the mornings I go to work butcannot wake up

ETA, I took this one on a city trip to Barcelona a few months ago, and i was very suitable to the soft climate, now i am sad it's discontinued because i would order it for summer and spring
