Hi, I have Amouage gold (a very little bit left) never occurred to me to research a BPAL equivanlent but now you have triggered me ;-)

From the commercial scent i found that Joy by Patou reminds me a bit of Amouage. In 2 weeks i am going to Dubai again and for sure going to buy a new bottle :-) I can't get it anywere here in Ireland...

Lovely sweet incency. I dont get any seperate notes and no strawberry, only warm sexy sweet. This captures almost the BPAL 'Box' scent, you know when you sneiff your box full of impies

I live in a very catholic country now so next Sunday I might go and attend a Mass. I love wandering around Churches and Cathedrals, it so calming.

The scents is soft, embracing and sweet, woody and almost licoricy

a new love! The peppermint/spearmint stage is what i deeply love. It was exactly what I hoped to find in Lick IT! Oh and I love Pine too so all stages what this scent goes through are covered

Exactly Spellbound, a bit more bite maybe. It was great to wear today as we got a massage at the office, it was a complemetair scent to balance me. I would not buy a 5 ml of this but I keep the imp around

my top 10 had a new member, and even my top3 had a new member.... no actually i think i have a new no. 1.

Eden is all the perfect BPAL combined. It has the good parts of O, Dana O Shea, Kali, Alice and Perversion!

oke, I am to much stunned by this scent that I am off th sniff my arm:-)

A line of similair scent to me are

Haunted, Snake Oil, and Snake Charmer

Haunted is the strongest and to me a bit too 'Shalimar' like, Snake Charmer is the softest and sweetest to me.

Ultraviolet is the most close to Gratitious soap to my nose, and it has a bit in common with Nocture but none at all with Numb, I did't even get violets from Numb.

To me It smells a lot like Velvet, thus pencilshavings, not in a bad way but not the popcorn I was expecting. I will try layering(for the first time) with some sweet scent to make a balance:-)

I suppose the misconception I made with this was to expect it to smell like SWEET caramel popcorn, how i am used to eat it. Instead It smels of salty popcorn

when i was buying a bag of micowave popcorn, (salty) then it occured to me

At first MELON and oh no...Blue moon!

But as soon as it touch my skin, the melon fades and there are the berries, yum, I love berry scents. It has a lot of throw, because i am walking with a colleque outsite and she said, oh some thing in the air smells nice!

I was hoping to find some banana it this, but the way it is now is lso good, as long as the Blue moon smell doesn't come back!

Oh, this is a yum scent! I love it already to bits!. Om me it is egg nog but 10xstronger. And that;;s a good thing because I swapped egg nog because it was to weak on me.

It's warm vanilla candy scent, melted sugar and honey mixed with vanille and cream! I have never been to a Fair, but if this is how it smells like i will book my tickets today!

got it as a frimp from the lab. Hoped to love it(Irish queen...I am in Ireland, good match) but somehow (actually just discovered)I hate Sweetpea. It reminded me of Julliet a bit, also not a huge favorite.

Never mind, I keep the Imp around and look to give it a good home

As soon as i read it contains violets I became very very happy although a little afraid it would be like ultraviolet.

No on the the review, I love this scent, it smells different than every other BPAL I smelled before. It smells like a metal table in a morque, cold and clean and a bit medical, or like a OK(ER) in a hospital before the make you sleep, but really in a good way.

I am wearing it today and i feel clean like i have been sterilized(s that a English word?) no microbes can live where Numb lives...

Will wear this a lot to the office because it's a busineslike scent.

I don not like Haunted so much, to me it's to similar to Guerlain's Shalimar

Snake Charmer is my latest find in this category. I wore it at work last week, and a guy who is about 8 years younger than me got all complimentary with me. It's not just the snakes it charms!

To me Julliet, Desdemonia and Queen of hearts share a lot of common notes, where QoH is the softest of these three.

So fresh and clean! absolutely not a "me'scent as i usually detest aquatics. This however is an exception, together with Water of Notre Dame, an aquatic I can wear and love

This scent is pops up many times as frimps from the lab and as freebies in swaps, so time to review it I guess...

At first i didn't like this scnet. Out of the imps it smells yummie, pure honey but much sweeter than the honey in O and the single note Honey.

On my skin it turns sour. That must be the wine, it is like Bordello, but Bordello turns fresh sour, Athens turns sweet/sour.

But after some tries it seems to grow on me and while some days it becomes sweet/sour, other days its like Honey incense.

I had this imp a long time and never even sniffed it!

since we hit 32 degree Celcius today I was going through my imps ( I cannot wear Envy all week right? ) And remembered reading some were that Kumiho smelled fresh and summery, so I tried it on today and it was great. I kept soo fresh all day and even the boy complimented me saying I smelled "clean" with is a big deal coming from him as he dislikes most BPAL.

It smells like a Ice tea with lemon or one of those herbal drinks. it has lasting power, no throw.

I will keep using it untill the imp is finished(and hopefully there comes an end to the hot weather before )

I don't see a 5ml as it's not my kind of scents but will hunt down another imp somewhere

Darkness without doubt, I even wrote it in a review a year ago. The name fits the scent so well!

As a big lavender fan myself it took me some time to find a lavendery lavender blend. I wasn't happy with the Lavender in the Somnium blends, they all turned sour somehow or the Jasmine came out to much. (yet, they are perfect to fall asleep to, but that's not the question here )

But recently something has changed Quietude is the perfect Lavender scent for me. It's a bit freshed up with some lime/lemony note. It's that Lavender which you pick a flower from while walking by and rubbing it between your fingers.

Psyche is also a nice lavender blend but goes more like a man's cologne kind of Lavender.

Well so far my personal opinion on lavender

Oh, ORANGE, CLOVE, SPICE!!! And they are screaming!

What a great blend, wakes you up and kicks in the butt. Our local Spa/Sauna has a stream pool with exactly this scent, and always one of my fav's

I am wearing Moxi today as we expect a very busy day at the office. It lasts and has a good throw like the "normal" BPAL perfume oils.

The only site note is that my colleque asked if i had been cleaning the officespace...(well that's not a bad remark, considering it came from a man who has no sense of smell at all

ETA: I still like the scent but somehow it had a bad influendce on my mood, it makes me sad...will wait to see it this keeps happening

Yep. Looks like a pattern forming here. Creamy. Sweet, but not overly sweet. I've tried probably a good dozen others, and have found that if there's a note in it that is sharp/strong or has a bit of bite to it (ginger, clove, strong musk, bergamot, moss), it goes horribly wrong on my skin or maybe just to my nose. I'm looking for something that would fit this bill that's a fruit essence. Not necessarily creamy but something that's a lightly sweet, but creamy would be nice too.

 

I tried Jester but that was way too fruit punch-like on me. Any recommendations?

There i go again....I keep recommanding Katherina It's soft happy sweet and fruity. March hare is a good one to but might go wrong on the clove...I have and love all the scent's you have mentioned so we might be scent-twins
