Antique Lace is a Beautiful vanilla, with a breath of clean laundry. I was almost hoping Quinkel would hate her half of the bottle, so I could have it back . It's beautiful and light so it's ok for me to wear every day, but it still is very special.

Me and Dragon's blood are not friends, but in this blend it is in the background, so it adds warmth to the blend. I can smell the Lunar oils mostly. On me, it is an understated floral, a perfume that you would wear when you want to smell nice but not particularly of anything. I swapped it away, because there are people that would be madly in love with it.

Mabon is for me a very true red wine scent with apples. The wine notes in for example Wanda or Lady Macbeth register as berry in my brain, but Mabon is a lovely sweet red wine.

That's exactly what it does on my skin. It sounded so gorgeous, but it really isn't my thing. I can't even make this review more useful by picking out some notes, because I can't detect any. Hrmph. A red scent sounds so beautiful.

I liked the wee skull on sugar skull. Sadly, no digital camera (and I swapped SS away, so it wouldn't be much of a point anyway).

In the bottle, this smelled promising, fruity and a little bit flowery... unfortunately, my chemistry has a tendency to turn most flowers into a generic perfume smell. This one is no different: a sharp perfume smell.

A fast-acting, powerful scent used to overcome adversity through positive means. Attracts wealth, prestige, good health, and enhances others’ opinions of you. Grants courage and steadfastness. I haven't made a review for this yet because I can't for the life of me figure out what this smells of. I can't smell grapes. It just smells slightly like soap, but not quite, with some white fruits -but not quite. It has the same herby feel of the Voodoo oils, and as a scent it doesn't stick out. It is very effective, though.

Rose is usually a no-go for me, so I dabbed on a tiny bit. "Yeah, it's rosey.. probably a swap pile candidate... o, there's that earthy note again, Ill hate this one for sure... it smells like a hippie shop as well...erm, actually, I'm not too adversive to this at all..." Sure, not an instant favourite, but I'll try decently wearing this (and not just a tiny little spot on the back of my hand) to see how I like the full effect. And that, for me, is something most rose blends never get the chance to. Final Verdict: Interesting enough to give it a shot.

In the bottle Perversion smells creamy, coconutty and sweet with some deeper currents of leather and tobacco. I had high expectations of this. On my skin, the scent develops into two strands that meet up only when I've worn it for three hours. One strand is the leather/tobacco scent, the other is a high pitched, shreeking sweetness which id just too much. Yes, for this vanilla-freak the tonka was too much. Luckily Hellfire was everything I wanted Perversion to be.

I was at first a bit intimidated to put this on, but it turned out great. Tobacco and leather, with a pleasant sweet note. I don't think it's a typically masculine scent, but perhaps that's just because I like to wear it myself. The leather note is much softer then in Wanda, and everything blends so well together. Beautiful scent -even on a spring day!

wet: mint and a cookie scent. When it dries I get a very dried out mint, with vanilla and a general baked-ness underneath. I can't smell a lot of coconut in it. It is, just like Sow white, my default scent.

If it wasn't for Quinkel saying 'Oh, you have to try March Hare I would never ever, ever have thought of ordering or trying this on. It smelled so nice in the bottle that I put a bit on straght away, somewhere on a spot where I hadn't any oils yet. I was enthusiastic and teh lovely Quinkel gifted me the imp Next day, I decided to give it a proper test run. Put some on my wrists -careful, you never know what a new blend may do to you- and suddenly, I began to slather it on uncontrollably on my neck, cleavage, hair, belly, thighs, knees, you know, the kind of treatment that your tried and loved blends usually get. Anyway, on to the scent. It was because of the apricot that I didn't expect to like it. Too sweet, but in this blend it has its ideal match: the clove. It makes it spicy and warm, like something just out of the oven. There is a bit of bakedness in this scent as well, but not too much. The drydown gets a bit too apricot-y to me, but by then it's so light it's not bothering me.

Wet: Cherry and nothing but cherry. and ...ehm... it's gone already. Drying: Anise comes out pretty sharply now, and very overpowering. Good that I love anise. I can smell flower behind it, but at the moment the anise dominates. Yum. Dry: The anise backs off, and what I can smell now is hard to describe. This turns into a very white, dry scent, maybe the sandalwood? It's stell a bit sweet from the cherry, and I can still smell a fresh trace of anise. Very nice one for a spring day like today!

A lovely swapper gifted me with this one. This is floral and green at the same time. Floral is always a bit scary, as they generally turn shapr, but these don't. Flowers are balanced pretty well with the green. after about an hour it turns really soapy, unfortunately.

Quinkel let me try this one Wet: mint toothpaste. It even tastes like toothpaste.* Dry: O yes, this is beautiful. Minty, with this soft.. herbs? flowers? A gentle musk? Something ambergis-ish? I don't know, but it's fresh soft an beautiful and perfect for spring. *Popped on the imp lid a little too quickly and some drops splurted around, straight into my mouth... in case you were wondering.

Le serpent qui danse is all gardenia and violet when it's wet. Whe I put it on, it turns into a juicy violet. The vanilla is more prominant away from the skin, while the juicy violet clings close to my wrists and neck. Beautiful sweet floral.

How about High John the conqueror? It says in the description, among other things, 'enhances people's opinion of you'. I know some people have had good job interviews with that one. I'm not sure it's entirely what you're looking for..

Wet: I can smell fruity sweetness, and something else, something green like a herb or something... dry: the green herb has faded, I can only smell candy sweetness, with a dry undertone. I was worried it might be too sweet, but the dryness makes it alright for me. And besides, I noticed that I never really dislike a voodoo oil. ADDED March 20: Aunt Caroline's Joy mojo smells like bubblegum at first, with some fruits added in (I can smell a hint of citrus, I -think-). On the drydown this goes a bit dry, and I think it's sandalwood that always does that. It smells pretty similar to Horn of Plenty to me, but less dry and less almond, but more on the fruit side. Like all Voodoo blends, it doesn't seem spectaular at first, but this one too has a way of finding a place in my heart and the collection.

This has a lovely top note of fruity, juicy cranberries, but I think it's the musk that's just too heady and heavy for me. When it dries down, it just drowns out any fruitiness or spice there could have been. Not my thing.

First sniff: mostly the sharp bite of Pennyroyal, similar to Pain. I always find it a bit of an odd note, but I like it as well. Drying: This one, however, is more surprising than Pain, but it's hard to pin down the notes. It stays fresh all along, but there's also a pleasant deeper note that's somewhat snuggly. I'm guessing it's the musk, but I don't get any seperate notes other then the pennyroyal. Summary: Fresh, sharp at first, dries down fresh but mellow. Need to wear this more!

At first: Almond, almond, almond. Can't smell anything else. Drying: the almond fades pretty fast on my skin, and the cinnamon doesn't seem to come out that much. The drydown is a powdery heliotrope, which, I must say, is the most yellow scent I've smelled so far. So concept in a bottle is once again perfect. Not sure I'd biu another bottle of this, but I might replace my imp when it runs out.

Wet this reminded me of Kumiho, but less lemony. A sharp, zingy, biting smell. I can smell a hint of creaminess, but not more. On my skin this quickly morphs into a peppery scent, which I adore.

When I opened the bottle I knew things weren't good: the jasmine hit me as -so sorry to say it- toilet air freshener. I now know to avoid jasmine, as most of my experiences have so far not been good. And no, it's not the lemon scent that makes me think of toilets, I love lemon. Jasmine doesn't work on my skin, it makes it very granny-ish.

Ooo, this smells very similar to Voodoo. And I love Voodoo. It starts out the same, with almonds, and deepens out in a lovely scent. Horn of Plenty's drydown is more dry and uplifting instead of the smooth lazy warmth I get from Voodoo. I'm interpreting the dryness (scorged, almost) as sandalwood, but I could be wrong. Have been wearing this all week while househunting, and have two invitations to view a house. Yay!
