    Nemesis

Initially, Nemesis went a bit chaotic on my skin, with the fruit, flowers and ppatchouli all wanting my attention, but now it has turned into fig. Unfortunately, fig turns into a artificial cheap potpourri scent on my skin.

Chaos Theory II : The Butterfly Effect

Chaos Theory CCCXLVI (346) Now this shows how crap I am at picking out notes from perfumes without help from previous reviews. However, I can say that Chaos Theory 346 is an interesting mx between food and floral and fresh. I think there is Lotus in it, and that becomes dominant on my skin. Very faintly in the background, there is a slight burnt sugar smell that I get from Sugar Skull as well. The unusual pairing of the two make an interesting scent. It is perhaps a little too flowery for me, but I find myself already attached to this bottle since it is so unique.

    Elegba

On my skin, Elegba smells very similar to Perversion, but without the sickly sweet smell that always made me a little nauseous. Hurray! Elegba is rum, coconut and buttery, with tobacco to pin it all down. It's tropical without being too much so (but I'll try mixing it with Baba yaga to get the pina colada effect anyway)

    Whip

Whip mostly smells very sophisticatedly english on me, if you know what I mean, with an unexpected dark undercurrent of leather. As much as I'm determined to try every scent and reviewing them, I'm still not keen on wearing rose blends as a perfume. It is a nice scent, but roses are not my thing.

    Whippoorwill

Whippoorwill is a very special green scent. When I first put it on, it smells like a breath of lemon. An hour later it smells green, but sweet as well, but it really is light as a sigh. Beautiful scent.

    Othello

Is Othello a men's scent? Because to me, it is a crisp rose for the first three hours. Later on, I can smell the musk more then anything, but it is remains a clean scent. Very light too, it doesn't have a lot of throw.

    Haunted

I thought that Haunted was a no-go for me. Roses to that to me, and with amber? I thought it would be a hippy-shop scent and never gave it much thought after that. I stand corrected. This is a beautiful scent, on me it turns into lovely lingering incense, but no one has said it smells like incense yet (which is what I hear most when I wear BPAL) but just that I smell nice. And I do!

    Dublin

Dublin smells a lot like my boyfriend's after shave when I first put it on, very masculine. Later on, it smells more green and misty. It's not as masculine anymore, but it's not a favourite.

    Moxie

First impression was so sour that I literally started salivating, as if I just popped some citrus in my mouth. Of course there is more to moxie then just a citrus smell though. It is, as the reviewer above me commented, green citrus. It is indeed a 'get going' scent, although it doesn't last that long.

    Milk Moon 2005

... Milk Moon is Flower Moon's warmer, gentler cousin; it is a scent that emulates the closeness of child and mother. In it, cream and warm honey soften our traditional blend of lunar oils. Coconut? Mint? Flowers? I don't get any of that on my skin when wearing Milk Moon. I just get sweet, creamy milk. It is everything I was hoping Chaste moon would be.

    Jolly Roger

Jolly Roger is aquatic with an undercurrant of leather. I can't smell rum or wood either. I haven't tried any aquatics for a while now (due to 'OD-ing' on them a while ago), but it's always nice to have a good one at hand. I forgot how good they were.

    Hell's Belle

Mmm.. this bears some similarity on my skin to Vixen and Voodoo, so I thought there had to be patchouli in this one. Wrong. It must be the musk then. It is very deep and dark, but after an hour or so Hell's Belle becomes warmer and enveloping. I can smell a little more fruit and spice coming through now as well. I miss the foodiness of Snak oil, but Hell's belle is nice enough.

    Aglaea

Mmm, fruity and golden. I can smell peach, but for some reason it smells a bit similar to the apliness of The Hesperides as well. I can't smell the amber that well, but I imagine that it's the anchor for this blend, as it smells much more 'grounded' then The Hesperides.

    Dragon's Bone

Dragon's bone is dry, white dragon's blood on my skin. I'm not keen on dragon's blood, but I like the concept of this blend.

    Athens

A reformulation and modernization of a true Classical Greek perfume, myrrhine: voluptuous myrrh, golden honey, red wine, and sweet flowers. On first application, athens smells like straight up honey. Later, I can smell the myrrh and the wine a bit more. It is nice and sweet, and it smells a bit like my new-age shop (note: not a hippie/head shop. There is a difference in smell, apparantly! )

    Gomorrah

from the description, I expected Gomorrah to smell like a fruit-explosion. It isn't, it is fruity, but there's definitely that 'gritty' scent underneath, which is dark and earthy. The fruit becomes a bit powdery after a while, but overall, I really like this scent.

    Ophelia

Ophelia is a gentle floral, and I expected not to like this, since a combination of chemistry and overly strong preference for Gourmand blends usually makes me put scents liek this on the swap pile. Not this one. This is so beautiful and innocent, a bit watery but not aquatic. It is sweet, and would be a perfect perfume for a young (adolescent) girl. But I love it too.

    Rage

Rage as no fruit for me. Just amber and Dragon's blood. Amber is fine as long as it's blended with somehting I like. I don't like dragon's blood. To me, this smells lie what a hippie butcher basement would smell like. Hm.

    Scherezade

This blends perfectly with Karma lotion by Lush, which I just slathered on as well. It is deep, dark, spicy and musky, but in a strange way not very prominent. A skin-smell, well, more the way I would want my skin to smell like. Sexy and mysterious.

    Bathsheba

Bathseba starts off as a fruity scent, with a bit of 'something else' (which I, obviously, can't define) around the edges. About an hour or so in the drydown phase, It becomes more of a gentle musk.

    All Night Long

All night long smells dark. I can smell the cinnamon, with a dark currant of something underneath. I go from loving it to being intimidated by it. The last half an hour or so I really love it. Off to test the Voodoo properties of this blend.

    Les Fleurs du Mal

Les fleurs du mal was a gift from the lab. As much as I would like to love flowers, I just can't. I wish I could be sophisticated and not always use those foody scents.. alas. I just smell a generic white flower smell. My chemistry doesn't turn this into a funky razorsharp flower blend, but it's not something that stands out in my mind.

    Phantom Queen

Wet, Phantom queen is green, flowery and appley on me. The fruit balances the florals out nicely. Later on, I get more of a green scent, which is not exactly light, but not overpowering either.. It is just very present. Nice, I'll finish the imp of this, not sure if I would purchase a bottle.

    Regan

Bloody hard to describe, regan, but very pleasant. It is a gentle scent, with a bit of vanilla and the sweetness of a sweet floral, could be honeysuckle. Overall, it turns a little powdery on me, but in a good way.

    Dirty

In the vial Dirty smells of clean laundry, in an intrigueing, interesting way. I felt a bit cheated when I put this on my skin and got nothing but a floral biting at me (florals have thhis nasty tendency to turn loud and sharp on my skin. I gave this imp to Quinkel, and on her skin it stayed fresh, it had a lovely melon note to it. I'm off to post my skin on the swap boards *sigh*
