    No. 93 Engine

NO. 93 Engine: spicy frankincense On Skin: wet: The frankincense is still there, the spices are coming forward. Beeswax is mellowing everything out. Very resinous. dry: One-two punch of spices and resins. Really beautiful and warm. I can't pick up any one note here but it's simply amazing. I feel like I'm drinking mulled mead on a summer picnic sitting in a field of flowers. It's nice and warm.

    Uruk

Uruk: Almonds, jasmine, and cinnamon On Skin: wet: Not as strongly almond as in the imp. Something spicy and dark is creeping forward, maybe the red patchouli. Lilies are definitely present. dry: Soft peals of almond followed by jasmine and lily petals floating in a nearby stream. Relaxing in the sundappled shade of a cinnamon tree. Super relaxing. I'm really astonished I'm transported off to some breezy summer day sitting by a babbling brook in a flowerbed of lilies. It's like getting hugged by someone who's been baking with almonds and cinnamon all day that accidentally got saffron on their apron. There's bergamot from a cup of Earl Grey floating around in the back.

    Masquerade

Masquerade: bitter patchouli, a flower or two hanging around. On Skin: wet: something like Angostura bitters mixed with patchouli, hint of orange blossom. Something spicy in the background. dry: Deep, rich clouds of patchouli, edge of something bitter but not unpleasant. Carnations keep falling on my head. Definitely something that would be worn at night, perhaps on the prowl wrapped in leather and corsetry, brandishing a short whip.

    Schrodinger's Cat

Schrodinger's Cat: tangerine, grapefruit, and lavender On Skin: wet: mostly lime and lavender now, something bitter is creeping in dry: A bit later - minty citrus with a bit of moss All in all - very transformative scent as time progresses. I forgot to check when I put it on, it seems to fade quite quickly on me. Impression I get is that I'm wandering through a market with piles of fresh citrus and herbs. There's a chocolatier a bit up the road with tempting wafts of confections being carried through the plaza on a warm breeze. There's a florist nearby tending a lush patch of ornamental moss that pops in and out as the air whooshes by.

    The Red Queen

The Red Queen: dry cherries and wood in the imp On Skin: wet: dark, sweet cherries and a little bit of polished wood dry: I feel like I got walloped in the face with a mahogany board. Cherries have tumbled to the floor. A bit later - wood and cherry holding hands politely. There's a slight dusting of sugar over the pair, sweetening things up. Overall I feel I fell asleep at a very expensive desk after eating a bowl of cherries. My fingers are a bit sticky from the fruit but most of it is overpowered by the desk's opulent polish.

    Moscow

Moscow: soapy roses On Skin: wet: roses and lilies dry: There's a hefty punch of lily of the valley at first, hand in hand with jasmine. Reminds me of the fancy milled soaps you would give a grandma for Christmas. Later on there's a bit of orange that is peeking out. tiiiiny bit of musk. The bergamot is showing up as well. After a bit of wear it still reminds me of that fancy milled soap for Grandma. Very nice, clean jasmine/lily of the valley scent with a tiny hint of roses and bergamot in the background. I might be strolling down a marble hallway amongst ornate bouquets of heavily scented exotic flowers, skin smelling clean and fresh from the bath. Kind of posh "yes I'm clean, don't give me that look" feeling.

    Morgause

Morgause: herbacious, green, a hint of florals On Skin: wet: dark flowers with a hint of smoky incense behind dry: a gathering of dark flowers that was carried in a basket to rest in a damp, closed room. A slight haze of incense drifts about. There's a sweetness creeping in from fruit a bit further into wearing. The flowers seem to be drifting in the background for me, drifting into a sweet smokiness. Very happy with how this one doesn't amp flowers for me. I feel like I'm sitting in a dim room by a vase of slightly damp flowers. A bit spooky but not in a spooky-weird or spooky-scary way. After sitting for a while: musk has joined chat! Spooky Flowers has left chat. Interesting end to this experience, it seems someone has swept up the flowers and departed. A lingering of musk and smoke remain.
