  1. This smells like the version of snake oil I don't like which has the richer, almost buttery quality I associate with aged snake oil? I can barely tell the difference tbh maybe a *hint* of leather and no cologne smell.

  2. Monk

This is gorgeous. I couldn't pass up trying even though the whole rpg thing is of no interest to me. Sandalwood is one of my favorite notes but i usually find bpal sandalwood to be sharp and unpleasant or completely undetectable. This is beautiful sandalwood incense smoothed out so nicely by the creamiest honeyed saffron. The ti leaf is the perfect amount bringing this into shunga territory. 😍

  3. I guess this can be considered a masculine smell, but i feel like my best self when wearing this. Its spicy and sweet. The longevity is great and blends into you in the drydown instead of just disappearing. When my husband smelled me he actually said " what the fuck is that" (in a positive way lol)

  4. Damn. I got this when it first came out and it was super patch heavy. I destashed it bc i dunno marie kondo or something and regretted it. New bottle: no patch just an insanely light fig note with vanilla. Whyyyy

I managed to grab an older bottle and its just how i remembered it. Im not letting this one go again

  5. I had a bottle of Goblin once that was pretty close to a patch single note with the faintest hint of coconut that i liked okay. The bottle I just got is awesomely balanced patch with coconut with tons of sweet benzoin. I loooooove it. It remimds me of a commercial perfume but way cooler

  6. Teamama is right, vanilla really is king here, beautiful. I put off trying this so long bc fruit blends are the one thing that scares me, but I was so wrong. The red musk balances the sticky sweetness so well and the fruit notes work well with the amber and vanilla. Im im absolute love 💘

  7. Hmmm. This is def oudh. Its such a weird smell, but I find it kind of addictive. It has the slightest mentholic edge but isnt sharp at all. I Like the way it plays with the vanilla, i find it really smooth. I love it, but im also a little grossed out. Go figure

*** i got a second bottle of this that just doesnt have that oud smell. I like both but wth

  8. Bleh. I have an old imp of this thats complex and deep with cinnamon. The bottle i got recently is not similar at all, sharp and biting with no spice or anything resembling decay, similar to Eostre.

  9. I get mostly sweet and salty vanilla-musk with a hint of rose and wood. The longevity is much better now than when I first got it and I like it much more.

This almost reminds me a lot of a lighter inez with rose instead of carnation

  10. 2007 bottle: Oh man this is so good. It goes on really chocolaty then I smell coffee, then cinnamon sugar. Very realistic smelling and smooth. And as a barista of almost ten years the smell of coffee has the potential to get old FAST to me. This brown sugar note is so soft, never sharp this is the first time I've smelled a blend with sugar and it hasn't detracted from the experience.

  11. 2011- yayyyyyyy it opens strongly leafy and stays there for awhile. Then it mellows a but and and becomes Velvet-esque with delicate mint and musk lending a slight chilliness, very subdued and complex. How people describe Zorya Polunochnaya as ghostly and ethereal, this is that for me while she is just an okay amber. Im in love

  12. Oh boy this one is just way too much for me. Super sweet and overwhelming cloves. Disappointing, I dont get any cedar or anything resembling dust. I prefer The Wild Men of Jezirat Al Tennyn for a clove scent thats way more complex and doesn't give me a headache.

2021- i got a bottle again and i really love it now

Every tea like and less overwhelming than i remember
