    Boomslang

I can pick apart the notes easily, honestly. It’s not a very deep review. It is however very pleasant, the rice milk give it a soft, light edge. I wouldn’t give this ‘spicy snake oil chocolate’ though, i’d go for more floral snake oil chocolate’.

    Silky Bat

Oooo definately lemony sugar, but i also understand the chocolate twizzler connection mentioned above. Strange, cause THAT seem like combinations i’d both hate, but this is VERY sniffable. It reminds me of a combination of notes that’s also in Reptoid dominion, it has something similar where this patchouli is somewhat lime-lemony at times, but nothing overpowers. Delightful.
  3. This is an ink black goopy oil. Delicious spiced cacao mainly, the rest is there in the background like you’re sipping on an unending, perfect cocoa while in a great golden hall with a feast. Dries down to a spicy cinnamon with a slight tinge of wine. Beautiful.

    Stale Sugar-Crusted Marshmallow Chick

Exactly a peep. And, yes- a stale one. How the hell do they do this??? For someone who has eaten a record amount of marshmallows in the last few weeks this is exactly that, maybe a pink variant, but that could just be my brain making the pink part up. Such a happy fun sugary scent!
  5. UGH. DELICIOUS. Reminds me of the soft sweet note in Edith Cushing – though i’ll admit that one’s more nutty, but the vanilla is definately on par there. I’m not sure if I should keep this decant or not, because i don’t know if I would actually WEAR this, but oh….. this is lovely. EDIT: No i'm definately trying to find more- this is addictive, this is.

Why and What Art Thou Dreaming Here

Ooooh, a delicious earthy blackberry. Maybe laying in a bit of dirt on a dreary day under leafy bushes. That's what i'm getting. That, though I can admit those magnolia blossoms are a little more present than what my envisionment may divolge… But still a well-blended perfume. SO PRETTY!!

    Santo Domingo

    A lovely masculine dare I say pirate-leaning scent. A dude deliciously relaxing in the tropical sun sippin' on some rum. Heady tobacco, a soft spicy rum, and summery sweet florals. Super happy to have tried this! ;3;

    Nosferatu

First impression was a dusty grave with beautiful, up-kept flowers. Definately not as dark as i'd expect anything vampiric to be. Has a touch of graveyard dirt, dust, strong herbs and soft wine. Really enjoyable, very wearable!!

    Arcana

A greenish, purple haze up to no good. Strong, sharp notes of rosemary and lavender, softened somewhat by the remaining ingredients.

Very pretty! First thought that comes to mind is liquorice and currants (which, doesn't make much sense reading the notes, but hey). It's similar on me (it doesn't morph on me from the decant) to the ol' madame moriarty, just slightly more mainstream-perfume-y. It's got a floral note i could've sworn i smelled in la vie est belle and black opium, which in both cases is not a bad thing. I also concur with the dorian resemblance mentioned earlier, it's got something fougere-y in there that's soft and slightly "creamy". Guessing that's partially the vanilla musk? Won't need a bottle since like i said, moriarty scratches this itch for me, but it's genuinely lovely.

    Werepuppy

Exactly what the description says! A brown-sugared milky fur. Doesn't change on my skin. Not something i'd wear, but very cute!

    The Magic Circle

There's a slight animalistic musk-y quality to this, i definately see the witches outside in the middle of the woods, probably in the middle of an incantation. Soft sage patchouli and frankincense as a smoky haze, given a white/opalescent colour by the jasmine, and a sweetness by the oudh and honey myrtle.

    Egg Moon

I don't know if my skin is just not amping anything because it's so cold here, but oof i wish this did. Lovely soft cinnamon and a few "squishy" sweet light-purply notes, all meshed together in a smooth frankincense.

    Geburah

This reminds me of what i remember Crowley smelled like, but a soft, feminine version. Warm, red leather with a slight earthy note and something fresh. Very pretty!

    Al-Shairan

I was so excited to try this!! The notes are beautiful but it's not completely as i thought; it IS very spicy, warm; a reddish orange. The patchouli for me here is far in the background, the insence way in the front. The peach and orange swirl around the incense, adding a strong zingy waft to it. I'm learning today that peach is not that nice on my skin (booo), but it has a lot of things that work! Agree with the comparison to potpourri earlier.

    Tlazolteotl

I'm getting cherry vibes from this, though it's grittier than that. There's a green trampled layer of stuffs at the bottom, a sweet dark honey that really compliments the non-foodie, dark cocoa. Interesting and evocative, but not for me.

    Witches at Their Incantations

I feel like there HAS to be liquorice in here!!! That's what it smells like to me, a dark liquorice insence/myrrh. It's very soft on my skin, almost unnoticeable unless i sniff up close.

    The Love Potion

Wasn't sure what to expect cause i don't know if i'm familiar with neroli or pomegranate, and it's a scent i find incredibly hard to describe. It's got a lot going on, it's complex, but there's a very dusty quality to it. The reason it's so odd to me personally is that i know this from my childhood, but i have no clue in hell what or where from. Also not sure if it's a good or a bad thing, lol. It goes slightly more fruity on my skin, while it's strongly the insence and rose and in the bottle. The "dust" note is still there, though. All in all a very very (surprisingly) soft scent. I can imagine this'd be perfect for spring/summer!

    Bobbing for Jack O’Lanterns

Fresh apples, warm spices and a soft, sweet pumpkin, sugared by the peach. Dries down to more harsh spices on me, while the pumpkin and apples move aaalll the way to the background, and the peach takes the front seat. Nice, but i wish my skin reacted differently to this.

    Theme in Yellow

DELICIOUS spices, warm sweet pumpkin, candlewax and a yellow sundown, it's all there. Edges just against foody, but is incredibly wearable all through autumn. Unfortunately the wax does what it often does on my skin, it misbehaves (just goes icky on me) - if it wasn't for that, this would be an absolute winner. Very beautiful!!

    Atsui-Mono

This is a very creamy scent. The black tea feels like a soft bed where the hay and fig milk are swirling in, stirred by a golden vanilla. This is a very soft, very realistic milky tea scent on me, elevated by that creamy but not overly sugary fig and honey.
  22. Honestly, after applying it once and not getting much, i slathered it... Still, not getting much?? It IS beautiful though, straight out of the bottle - there's this soft smoke with a hint of that dark sandalwood, and a lovely bourbon vanilla. Now that The Slathering seems to have dried down, it's a heady, musky, dark, soft masculine gothy scent. With a sweet goldengreen edge to it. I have to get REALLY close to it to smell anything though, which is too bad, it's beautiful and if only it would amp it's mysterious goodness!! I should add: reminds me a liiittle bit of The laughter of Loki!

    Trauervorspiel und Trauermarsch

Ah. Yes, i forgot that this is how vetiver smells (thank goodness, it is my #1 death note), but that makes sense. I hate this. xD But anyway, i figured i'd try a skin test anyway, to be fair. I'm getting quite a bit of oudh besides vetiver being SO SO strong here, it does calm down a tiiiny bit on drydown. i am getting a reddish note (which would be the tea, though i'm not picking it us as being tea), and only vaguely getting the incense. ....Not at all for me, clearly, but someone would love this.

    Hurðaskellir

Oooooh, very very pretty. Directly understanding that comparison to TKO Zankoku_zen mentioned. Honestly all the notes mentioned are there; it makes for a minty sweet cloud of a dream, with that (very light) patchouli and lavender grounding it somewhat, and i don't know if i'm too familiar with carnation, but i do believe that's quite strong in here, though not out of balance with the rest of the notes. I don't know if i love this on my skin (it's a bit plasticy now that it's drying down, UGH!!) but it's SUCH a sweet lil character, this little guy. 🥺

    Lawn Gnome

This is pretty much exactly what i was hoping for. A small creature on a dirty walk through the woods in autumn after rainfall, accompanied by an oversized wicker basket of red berries. It's cozy, gritty, dark, molass-y ('sugary' ain't the right word here). Sweater weather type scent, image evoking. LOVE!!
