Sighs, I wish I liked vetiver cause I really, really want to like this. Sharp, spicy, dark and deadly, in other words, leather, spice and everything not nice (imagine a wink at the end... Not from me. from someone you find attractive). That said, there's something sexy about it too. Uhuuu why can't I like this... Onto my swaps pile it goes! :c

Ooh! I get lots of citrus and dirt. Very interesting. I'd say it's more of a masculine scent, probably cause there's an aquatic/wet undertone. Wet: Ahh, there's the incense. There's also something else light in there. Almost pink. Dry: The citrus is tuling alongside the incense. Nailed the description!

    Harlot

Smells like a strong and sharp rose tea. Very warm. Once applied on the skin, there's a soapiness. Not a nasty or distorting one, a clean one. Not for me, but I see why so many people LOVE this!

    The Other Miss Spink

Ugh, no, no, nope! I don't get much sweet or sticky from this. It's probably not actually there, but I'm just getting nuts or something... y'know, those peanuts covered in red- crispy stuff that's supposed to imitate the taste of sugar? Just that, covered in layers of antique, heavy dust. I don't know. Maybe I'm just weird. Onto the swaps pile it goes!

    In Winter in My Room

Very odd, not what I expected. Not a bad thing per sé, but not winter-y to me. More... spring! I get this very juicy-red fruit, mostly grapefruit and something citrus-y. Kinda dies on my skin quickly. Sad, cause I don't dislike it.

I have learned that vetiver, unfortunately, is probably not for me. At least, I'm pretty sure it's the vetiver I'm not a fan of. It's a dark, damp, and almost a sexy, broody type scent. I don't get anything sweet. My skin amps up the vetiver... Sniffing this I can totally imagine walking through the dark hallway on the upper floor of the Sharpe manor, with the sound of soft fluttering of wings near the walls. Again, on my skin it amps up the vetiver, but after a while it gets a little fuzzier and a bit smoky. Generally I really don't hate it, over all it's lovely and atmospheric, but sadly it's just not for me. I'm sure this would work perfectly for some people!
