Soft and sweet rosy-vanilla incense. Really feminine feeling, makes me think of a vintage powder room without smelling powdery.
-
This is incredibly well blended on me. Dark slinky musk and resins, almost chewy. Just a touch of orange over the top.
-
Very bright almond, the kind that pushes cherry makes this more fruity than nutty on me. Figgy-cherry with just a hint of rich amber underneath.

Sweet marshmallowy plum in the imp, and wet the opium and oppononax darken and ground the scent a bit. It's dark and swirling with a hint of sweetness. The marshmallow makes this stand out from other opium and plum scents I have. Luckily for me the violet does not make an appearance, was thinking this was not going to work on me!

All I get in the imp is wool and oakmoss. It makes me think of walking through a rain-soaked forest. Green and damp and a bit clean the way oakmoss sometimes comes across. Not soapy, but just that freshness after a rain. On my skin the wool comes out more, the scent becomes less outdoorsy and more cozy. The brandy is subtle but gives a grounding sweetness.

I get spicy rye and lots of dry golden hay. A bit of sweetness (but a sort of earthy sweetness, like barley syrup. Perhaps the corn?) I get zero soil on my skin, and just a breath of herbal chamomile as it dries down. Beautifully atmospheric and very autumnal.

Eclipse is my fave almond scent! -
Floofy vanilla 2017 Antique Lace with a halo of caramel. I get a teeny bit of soft leather as it wears. Lovely!

Cocoa-dusted wood in the bottle but gets richer and more chocolate-y on the skin. Spice, wood, and tobacco back up the cacao. The pine peeks through as it wears. It is a bit rugged and a bit foody at the same time.

I agree with Grim there's sort of a humid element to the blend, but also I get a coldness at the same time? Light ethereal florals and vanilla, and sheer amber. The rose is soft and and I can pick out the almond blossom. It's sweet and almost candy-like (candy floss is a great description), it is very airy.

To me Drider Crossing Guard has a similar dark, eerie fruit vibe to Mouth So Sweet, and I think it would be even closer layered with Event Horizon for the opium. I think The Witch Queen also might have some appeal, it has that murky purple incense plum thing going on!

In the bottle all I get is fresh, snappy leather. The kind that tends to go headache-y on me. I applied with not very high hopes. At first I get mostly SO with the vanilla amped up, and while I can't pick out the leather it's giving me that twinge of headache. As I let it sit the leather comes out and smooths out a bit but unfortunately the headache wins out. I might sit on it for a bit longer but I think this might be skin chem fail.

This has a bougie autumn candle feeling. Gorgeous fig upfront backed up by amber and tobacco. It is slightly spicy/woody, and I can't tell if there is a hint of dried leaves or if it is just the tobacco giving that sort of effect. It's warming and very autumnal, and somehow very elegant while also being homey.

Such a soft, calming scent. The labdanum has a thick, resiny sweetness. I can barely pull out the sandalwood, I think the patch is melding in with the labdanum. Over the top I get the lavender and touch of the vanilla/benzoin. Warm, cozy, and incredibly comforting.

In the bottle I get rich cocoa, a light mint, and a bit of the 'plastic' note; musky and hard for me to describe. It's sort of in the zone of the chalky rubble situation in Ice Age Baton, but much softer. On my skin it's more minty, and I get the amber underneath. The musky-amber situation keeps this at a medium foodiness compared to like Dragon Slide which is full on mint-chip foody.

Rich buttery goat's milk topped with fluffy vanilla marshmallow and cashmere. I get just a touch of white chocolate that enhances the creaminess.

I completely agree with lithie on the jolly ranchers vibes. Chery limeade, and I also got a hit of watermelon when I put it in the water.

Recommendations for Liquor and Wine Scents
roseus replied to comebackqueen's topic in Recommendations
Another wine scent but The Obsidian Widow is lovely: Pinot noir, dark myrrh, red sandalwood, black patchouli, night-blooming jasmine, and attar of rose. For rum there is also The Wellerman (Sugar, tea, and rum) and Grog (pirate rum)! -
@MonBon Thank you for this, I totally forgot about Ghost Faced Bat! That was super creamy and sweet, though I recall having trouble separating the milk note from the creaminess of the coconut.
-
Milk notes I have found to be mostly differentiated by their richness/butteriness. Cream is richer than milk, etc. I find goat milk to be rather buttery, with a touch of pleasant funk sometimes. I haven't tried anything with an evaporated milk note but I would imagine not too much of a difference from reg milk notes (whereas as condensed milk like you mentioned I assume would be sweetened), though perhaps a touch of that 'cooked'/scorched quality seen in recent scorched milk blends? I assume buttermilk would also have a bit of a tanginess to it!

Deliciously salty-sweet. It's chewy and rich, to my nose a lightly caramelized vanilla with a bit of spice. Mostly cinnamon and cardamom I think? The salt is less prominent dry, just cutting the sweetness a touch.
-
Such a gorgeous beachy coconut in the imp! And thankfully that stays on my skin, I was worried about the orris putting a damper on things. The marine notes in this are very gentle, just playing supporting roles to the coconut. I agree this is more of a clean aquatic than a salty one, it's bright and fresh.

This one was strange to me in the imp, I think something about the way the peppermint cream and lilac were combining. Not bad just threw my nose. On my skin this sorts out with the peppermint cream being more dominant, it's not *super* minty and there's a lot of that airy, marshmallow-y thing going on with the mallow flower as well. I get a bit of lilac as well, and as it dries the rose and teak start to poke out. They give just a touch more body to the scent.

This is surprisingly bright and fruity in the imp, very plummy. On my skin a bit of spice comes out, not enough to make this a stewed winter fruit scent, the fruit is still juicy and fresh. The resins stay very much in the background on me.
-
A gorgeous cloud of mango nectar. As it settles I get a bit of patchouli and ambrette, but to my nose this is primarily about that lovely mango!
