  1. Pure, soft roses. I don't know what ylang-ylang smells like, but I sure ain't smell no apples. I really liked it, and... it's surprisingly long-lasting. I thought it was fading and put more on, and it apparently was very strong to some people afterwards. Opinions gathered:

--smells like a newborn baby, nice.

    --smells nice.

    --smells like childhood. (baby powder?)

    --baby powder, soapy.

    --soapy, enjoyable.

    --not so good.

I guess I can see where the baby powder comes from, because that smells somewhat similar to roses. Mainly, just softness. It's good to inhale. I can actually see innocent Eve like this!

  2. Bubbly and fruity. Doesn't last very long, though. I had to give a class presentation today, and was scared shitless beforehand, but I think I did pretty well when I got up there. Effect of the "voodoo" scent? I do not know.

2nd day: very grape Kool-aid. Mmmm.

[This actually isn't as grape Kool-Aid as, say, Lilith.]

  3. I can't add anything new besides I LOVE IT.

Edit much later: This is the sexiest of the sexy. And by that I mean I like it. Fresh, wet, swampy florals that bring the outdoors in.

  4. Ugh, SWEET VANILLA HEAVEN IN A BOTTLE. There's also a little bit of incense in it, reminds me of sandalwood. I bought this as a gift for a picky friend, and I'll consider her to be a huge weirdo if she doesn't love it...

  5. This smells weird coming out of the bottle. Ignore it, because it'll smell grrreat when it's on. Sort of like autumn leaves and some sort of buttery food or drink that you should not be consuming while on a diet. It feels better at night than during the morning.

    ADDED Oct. 18:

This is a really nice scent, as I said before, but it fades out pretty fast. And that's a tragedy.

EDIT: Added followup post to this one --Shollin

  6. I have no idea what jasmine smells like. I thought Ligeia reminded me of an old jasmine bodywash of mine, but once I found that, not only does it not smell like this, but it doesn't have jasmine in it despite it being in the title. What's up with that?!

Anyway, this is a very lovely scent, and I mean that. Even though it smells like a non-existant bodywash, I feel quite ladylike in this. Fetch me my parasol, dear sir!

  7. This is a very Lilith scent from the start. In the vial, it looks like blood-tinted urine. The scent is a dark floral wine, basically how you'd imagine Lilith would smell. But though it smells like a Hell-demon that may molest you in your sleep, it's very lovely.

    ADDED Sept. 10:

After awhile, this turns into candy grapes and flowers, with a general fruitiness. It goes very well on a hot summer day. Ahhh.

  8. To repeat everyone else, this smells like citrussy, salty rain, very clean and fresh. Very nice!

EDIT: This has come to feel a bit more electric as the day went on. Still very clean and nice.

This is "clean" as in smooth and clutter-free, not as if it smells like toilet cleanser.

  9. I got this alongside Lolita. This has the same feminine, floral manner, but is a bit more womanly and mature. It also has a calmer, more relaxed feel, possibly due to the sandalwood.

Edit: I really love this. Though the ingredients don't list it, there's definitely a "wet" feel in the scent.

Edit Aug 2016: My bottle has aged 11 years. The scent is strong enough to always detect, but not too strong for my workplace. It takes only one dab or two. Perfect for summer without being cliche. I bought this when I was 18, and I've grown into it.

  10. This is very girly and flowery, very spring. My sister thought I smelled "citrus-y" when I put it on once, though I usually smell the flowers more. It's like a 14-year-old girl's toilette, very sweet.

EDIT: This might be a little too powderly sweet, I'm not sure yet. I have to try it more often. I don't know how heliotrope smells, but I believe that's what's the strongest here.

Edit2: Never mind, I do in fact delight in this. I just must keep it in moderation... Lots of moderation. And as advice, don't put it on right before you take a nap, because you do not want to be inhaling this as you lay on a pillow. Ah! But it gives me happy germs.

    ADDED Sept. 10:

    Part 2:

After several months, I've found this is my good weather scent. When the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the air is pleasant, this is the thing to get on. It's sunshine and flowers, and happiness. Wear it with light colors.

  11. This reminded me of clove cigarettes, cinnamon, and gingerbread. Very delicious!

On the second wearing, this smells a bit smokey, like incense, near the beginning. I'd say it smells like some illegal, narcotic substance that it's based on, but I have no idea what that's like. Either way, still very delicious.

    ADDED Sept. 10:

Out of the bottle and at first application, this is a very strong, herbal, medicine-y scent. BUT HAVE NO WORRIES within a half an hour this becomes absolutely delicious. And when I say "delicious", I mean it. Very cozy and warm. A little boy attacked/hugged me once while I was wearing this and said, "Katy, you smell good." So that's a pretty good review.
