  1. I get the incense straight off, with a really subtle hint of currant. After this mellowed down and dried, it was a very pleasant incense sweet scent on me. I like it, but I don't know if it's special enough for a bottle. Very nice though.

  2. All the depth, beauty, and darkness of All Hallows Eve. Truly, the scent of autumn itself -- damp woods, fir needle and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein.

    2007 version

I decided to try this, despite the evil patchouli. During the dry down, the patchouli was madening, but a little while later this turned into a really nice sweet/smokey scent. I really get an autumn feel, very woodsy and slightly sweet, and damp. I don't think I love this enough for a bottle, but it fits the season so perfectly. Well done, Beth.

  3. Imp: Sweet almonds!! I get something else that reminds me of grass.

Wet: Oh, something is off. Very heavy and weird. Sweet in a bad way. I really hope it morphs into something much more pleasant.

Dry: This isn't awful, but it's still weird on me. A bit discomforting and nauseating. Definetly not for me.

  4. Dark...I think there's a note in this that is common with several other dark oils and it gets amped on my skin because I can never name it, but I always recognize it. This mellows out a bit, to something almost sweet and very warm. This is super complex...I think I might like this.

  5. Imp: Wow, I think I smell every ingriendent listed...cool mint, fresh lime, clean lavender, and herbs. All very balance. Wow. Very neat.

Wet: The herbs seem to amping up quite a bit, but the mint is very refreshing.

Dry: Very refreshing and sweet...the herbal qualities in this really give a nice base.

  6. Imp: Very woody and spicy.

Wet: A cooling sensation comes to my nose. It still comes off pretty woodsy, but I think the lotus might be the sweetness I'm picking up.

Dry: Something warm and spicy...overall pleasant, which isn't what I expected at the beginning.

  7. Pannychis

Imp: I get a lot of floral notes on top, especially the ylang ylang.

Wet: I think the ylang ylang and the frankincense are fighting. There are a couple compenents in this one that are shared with Thalassa, so I thought it might work out nicely. We'll see...

Dry: Luckily everything seemed to mellow out a bit, but it still smells a bit to floral for me.

  8. The Apothecary

Imp: Fresh and citrusy, but with something sweet in the background.

Wet: Reminds me of cleaning solution....

Dry: Actually, the fig in this really balances all teh herbalness. I didn't think I'd like it much, but this pretty nice. May be a keeper!
