    March Hare

I had no idea this was an apricot scent when I tried it, as it was a frimp. Yummy though!! Imp: Frutiy and sweet...this could be a hit or miss for me. Wet: Spicy fruit...is that apple? (Apparently, it's apricot!) Dry: Wow, warm and tasty spices with glazed fruit. This reminds me a candle too, but it's nice on the skin too. Final Thoughts: I think I'm keeping the March Hare! We'll see about a bottle later.

    Iago

Iago is really really not my type, but I thought maybe it was something I was missing, as the lab frimped it twice. But alas, no, Iago and I really just don't get along. He was VERY strong and almost alcholic and he stayed like that until drydown, when I got smoke smoke. All I could think of while wearing this was "yuck". I don't like thinking about BPAL like that though. It's sad. But not everything can work for everyone. This one is up for swaps.

    Follow Me Boy

Imp: Tangy and powdery. Huh. I was expecting something more floral. Wet: A muskier version of the above. I can't pick anything out, but it's tangy and alluring, along with a womanly powder feel. Dry: All the same, but maybe a little bit more "green". Final Thoughts: The boy was not AT ALL allured by this one, in fact was put off of it. I asked him later and he changed his mind to "nice". I'm not sure that means, but I don't think it suites me. C'est la vie.

    Cobra Lily

My first from the garden, probably because I've been avoiding everything floral. Seemed to make sense. This was a frimp from the lab (you guys are awesome!). Imp: Honey and something funky. I'm not sure if it's the lily clashing or what, but it's a little off for me. Wet: Mildly sweet and spicy at the same time. This actually reminds me a bit of a more floral O.... Dry: Exactly as described, lily, honey, and spice. Nice! Final Thoughts: I don't know if this one will be sticking around just because of the floral content, but I'm not immediately writting it off, which says something. =)

    The Deep Ones

Imp: Very salty and fruity. Wow, what an intrigueing combination. Wet: More murky, but still kinda fuity, and less salty. Dry: Aw, this goes all soap on me. Rats. Final Thoughts: The wet stages of this are really interesting. I wish I could make it stay like that. Oh well.

    Azathoth

Imp: pungent floral Wet: woody and milkly chilling, very reminscent of the demon in the dark soap from Lush Dry: just dark and strong, very murky and it's hard to pick out notes. Final Thoughts: I don't think this one is me. Has a masculine feeling to it.

    The Pool of Tears

Imp: medicated bandaids...hmmm... Wet: pungent and cooling, and floral Dry: sweetens up a bit, but still too floral for me. I don't get the spicy-sweet carnation in this like I did in Alice. Final Thoughts: Another aquatic that I'm sad didn't work out for me. Nice, but not for me.

    Dana O'Shee

Imp: sweet and milky Wet: grape-like Dry: soft and sweet, but not with a lot of personality Final Thoughts: Meh, I think I'll be swapping this one. I wanted divine sweetness and spice, but I didn't much of that. Oh well.
  9. brit_brat100

    Tamora

Imp: Surprisingly sharpe...kinda pungent and some floral in there too... Wet: I get the peaches for sure. Dry: Nice, but no vanilla...just pungent peach and flowers. Final Thoughts: I'm "meh" on this one. I just got it for the vanilla note, but since it's not delivering on my skin I'll pass it on.

    Danube

Imp: Aquatic and citrus Wet: Oh uh, soap. Dry: And soapy it shall remain. Staying power isn't very long, so that's good for me. Final Thoughts: I think I'm maybe just not into aquatics. Minus Thalassa, nothing with water in it has struck me as anything special. Sigh.

    Hunger

Imp: Pungent dark organge. Wet: Still very strong, almost so much that I don't want to continue wearning it. Dry: With time this one sweetens up nicely, but it's not the creamsickle I was hoping for or the soft citrus I was hoping for either. Final Thoughts: I was tired of this by the end of the day and wishing to be rid of it for a while. Too much for me.

    Titania

Imp: Super sweet and very melon like. I'm wondering if my mind is playing tricks with me. I was expecting pears, and yet, I almost can smell pears too. Wet: Whoa melon!! This reminds me a melon candle we get for the kitchen because my male roommates can't cook something without burning it, so we use the candle to cut through the smell of over cooked food. Strong. Dry: I do get an icy feel from this, but still not really getting much pear. The sweetness mellows out a bit, which is nice, but I'm still worried that it will be too sweet for me. Final Thoughts: I can't make up my mind on this one. My inital thought is to swap her, but maybe I'll wear her again for more time and see how it goes. I like a lot of it, but I can't handle the super sweetness.

    Block Buster

Imp: Sweet and green with a touch of citrus...very nice... Wet: Herbally and again, something familiar. I'm wondering if this is just me remembering the imp or something, because this happens a lot when I'm testing something for the first time. Dry: Honey and some spice...oh wait...ow...it burns!! My skin is red and uncomfortable. Final Thoughts: Well, I've dealt with my skin turning pink where the oils are, but I've never burned or wished I didn't put something on because of it, but this really didn't like my skin.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

I was worried for this one because my friend had a bad experience with it, but everyone's different, so I decided to give it a try... Imp: Lightly floral and sweet, but also tinged with an aquatic feel. I'm not sure with ozone smells like, but this has a wet feel. Wet: As it drys down it seems to get sweeter and sweeter and then the vanilla comes out - my love. Dry: Sweeter still and more vanilla with an aquatic feel!! Wow. I'm amazed. Final Thoughts: I like this one a lot! I'm really thrilled with it. I'm concerned that it might end up being a little too sweet and soft for me, but really, don't be scared, this is just lovely.

    Morocco

Imp: Spice, bit not hot like cinnamon. It's nice, because many of the spiced scents I've been trying have been with cinnamon. Wet: Still spicy, but with a sweet perfume at the same time. I don't know how else to describe it. It's not floral, but it's sweet and very pleasant. Dry: Pretty much the same as when wet. Final Thoughts: The boyfriends says "You smell delicious!" I like it and I plan on keeping it around.

    Lolita

Imp: pungent floral, right off the bat. A couple more whiffs and I get something citrus, but not in the bright, clean, and soapy way, something more scandalous. Wet: similar to the imp form, only less pungent and more perfumy. Dry: perfume like, and fairly floral, but not overpoweringly so. Final Thoughts: It's alright. I'm not craving more, but I'm not scratching it off or hopping in the shower - just pleasant. I'm sure whether I'm keeping her or not...
  17. brit_brat100

    Chimera

Imp: cinnamon, very warm, but not as in your face as it can be...maybe more creamy? Wet: hot cinnamon, but still something creamy underneath. Dry: sweet, warm, and powdery in a really nice, comforting way. Final Thoughts: this is nice, but I'm not getting much honey suckle, except in some sweetness, but I really hoping for the scent of a honey suckle bloom. This is nice anyway, but I can't make up my mind on whether the imp is enough or if I want more. I'll try it out a few more times.

    Van Van

Imp: herbal citrus...very soothing. Wet: citrus, lemon, and...herbs, maybe something grassy. Dry: herbal powder, but with less of the citrus coming through. Final Thoughts: not what I had hoped for, but still nice. I didn't feel any more powerful with it on, but I didn't regret putting it on either. I don't think it's my style, but I'll just wait and see on this one.

    Sea of Glass

This was a VERY full imp, I've never seen such a high level from the lab. I usually see at label levels or lower...crazy! Imp: refreshing!! sweet, soft citrus. Wet: a floral note that I recognize, but can't name. Dry: remains in the floral water mode. Final Thoughts: If I could keep this in the imp form, I'd love it, but whatever flower is in this is too overpowering for me. Oh well. More for someone else to love.

    Ode on Melancholy

I was scared of this one because of the florals listed in it, but I tried it anyway. imp: medicine like, herbs wet: wet plants dry: back to medicine from afar, but up close it's actually pleasant and crisp. A bit familiar of a comerial frangrance that I can't place at the moment. final thoughts: I don't think I'll be keeping it, but I like it for the "huh" reaction. That's a first for me.

    Lampades

imp: sweet berries!! wet: reminds me of australian copperhead, with the berries and really clean feeling, but less smoked vanilla...similar, but not the same... dry: more cranberry feel, darker, muskier...very sexy, a little earthy final thoughts: not what I was expecting, but still very nice. It changed quite a bit, but I liked the result...not as foody as I was hoping, but I will certainly keep this one around for a while.

    Alice

Imp: sweet, like candy, a hint of spice, and I think I'm getting the carnation too Wet: the carnation and rose are really mellow, I get a lovely honey thing happening and bloated sweetness Dry: honey really comes out and it's quite nice, not as syrupy anymore. It's more tollerable in this state and the boy seems to like it. Final Thoughts: Alice doesn't have me quite convinced. I do get a little girl feeling for it, but after Frank Beddor's Alice, I am feeling differently about Alice. It's pretty for sure, and I think I'll she stick around for some more tests.

    Bengal

Imp: spice! heavy and not sweet. Wet: dark honey, maybe of the sage variety or something, and cinnamon. Dry: hot spices, still with a lot of cinnamon, but it's lightened up as a whole and gotten a touch sweeter. Nice. Final Thoughts: I like this, but I'm not screaming about it yet. I'll try it a few more times and see how it develops. I think that this might be a suitable replacement for Saw-Scaled Viper, though not the same, when the Carnival leaves town. I was hoping for a chai scent, but it didn't happen on my skin.

    Les Fleurs du Mal

I'm awful with flowers, other than rose, and I really dislike the scent of flowers on my body with rare exception. This was no different for me. I got it as a frimp and was so scared to try it - and scared I should have been. Massive flowers and after a few hours I had to hop into the shower to get it off. I'm so glad that there are people here who love the florals, but I really can't care about them. Oh well. C'est la vie.

    Cthulhu

A creeping, wet, slithering scent, dripping with seaweed, oceanic plants and dark, unfathomable waters. Since Thalassa took my BPAL virginity, I've been on a mission to test all of the aquatics and thus far, only she has been kind to me. Cthulhu is no different. Sigh. Wet: VERY masculine and perfumy...reminded me of working the perfume counter at JC Penney (god that job SUCKED). It's a familiar scent with something murky and spicy. Throw like whoa. Dry: This didn't morph AT ALL. That's pretty rare for me. Final Thoughts: I can't wear it, but I tried it on my roommate, who is a huge Cthulhu fan, and he thought it smelled like evil soap water. Silly boys. Anyway, I suppose it's off to swaps, but not for a lack of trying to give it the love it deserves.
