    Haunted

Imp: MUSK! Wet: Heavy musk. Dry: Heavy husk, a touch powdery.

    Shadwell

Imp: Seemingly gentle with something sweet and almost familiar, but I can't pick out any notes. Wet: Soapy. But not. This is hard to pin down. Dry: Something wet - maybe the coat, but nothing stands out. Final thoughts: This is pretty masculine, I think. I'm glad to have tried it though, even if it's meant for me.

    War

Imp: I get the ginger and something sweet right off, maybe the honeysuckle. Wet: Another one that's hard to pin down. This smells exotic to me. Dry: I loathe patchouli and just hoped it wouldn't bother me, but I smell something VERY hippie and I really don't like it. Rats!

    Victoria

Roses and flowers through and through. No vanilla at all. It sounded really nice, but one day I'll have to learn my lesson that I really just don't like floral blends. Oh well.

    Languor

Imp: Bitter alcoholic flowers. Ugh. Wet: A familiar flower...maybe the lilies? It's getting pretty soapy though. Dry: Yuck yuck yuck. Super strong soapy flowers. Can't do it.

    Velvet

Imp: Chocolate-y... Wet: Nutty chocolate and it reminds me of another scent...like Sybaris. Dry: Softer than Sybaris, but still in the same vein for me. I think there's probably a shared note that my skin is amping. Oh well.

    Xiuhtecuhtli

Imp: A mix of citrus and floral notes, but I get a burned smell too. Wet: The same. Throw like whoa. Dry: Same.

    Bordello

Imp: Super sweet berries. Wet: Berries, but different from Bewitched and Australian Copperhead. It still has that "clean" feel, but this is more blue and almost pastry like. Yum. Dry: Pretty much the same.

    Sybaris

Imp: First sniff is dial soap. Right off. Not a good sign. Wet: I think I'm getting the powdery violet here, but I think the heavy note might tonka bean. My first experience with it. This is strong and I'm not liking it all that much. Dry: The same as when it was wet. This one is not for me. ADDED Sept. 2: Imp: Cleaning solution! Oh man, do I not want to put this on...it made me cough with the first whiff. Wet: A very woodsy, masculine scent, but it also reminds me of cleaning solution. Dry: Sweeter, but still the same base scent. Not for me.

    Carnal

Imp: Very similar to Dorian, in some unexplained way. I love Dorian, so I'm curious to see where this will go. Wet: Sweetened roobios tea with something fruity. I get a really mellow zing, but a really lovely sweetness. God, I can't stop smelling myself. Dry: Wow, the fig in this (I looked it up) is such a great match to the mandarin. This is light, but oh so lovely. A keeper for sure. First fruity type scent I've really liked.

    Hollywood Babylon

Imp: Sweet like candy. Wow. Almost like a jolly rancher Wet: Cough syrup...weird. Dry: A little sweeter again, but still a bit dizzy-making.

    Water of Notre Dame

Imp: water, but slightly citrus with something else Wet: Reminiscent of a cleaning product and Oxy pads. I get something fruity sweet in the background, but not enough to help the rest. Dry: I get the water feel, but the overall scent isn't really doing anything for me.

    Akuma

This scent is pretty net. Right away it strikes me as citrus and brooding. As it was drying I got a very orange peel scent, but not in a bad way. The really neat surprise about this scent is the raspberry after it dries - sweetens the whole deal, but not overly so. I did get a mild candy feel, but really this strikes me as a young girlish scent. Fun!

    Sacred Whore of Babylon

This is complicated. I got a fruity smokey thing going, but not in a tropical way. A touch of powder, but not too much. After dry down, this came out to be a bit too soapy and floral for me.

    Oberon

This is very fresh and earthy, with a touch of musk. I didn't think I'd like it much, but it's pretty nice. I'll have to see if I warm up enough to this one for an upgrade.

    Wicked

A paean to all the Wicked Queens, Evil Stepmothers, and other misunderstood villainesses throughout history and lore. Lends an aura of majesty, refinement, strength, and a deep, brooding malice. A sophisticated, womanly scent: rich myrrh and jasmine draped in the subtlest rose. Right off, this seems dark and pungent. Perhaps I'm getting the myrrh. Overall, this one had a floral/powder feel to it, but not in a the bright cheery way - this is more moody.

    The Candy Butcher 2006

Rich and heavy chocolate with a hazy purfume note in the background. I get the cream sense here too. Very nice, but I'm not a big enough chocolate fan to wear this all the time.

    Obatala

I'm not a big fan of coconut, but this came from a friend with similar tastes as mine, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Imp: A really light sweet (but not sugar sweet) coconut and something aquatic. Wet: A twinge of something, maybe the shea butter, but still a really nice soothing coconut sweet milk. Dry: Sweet and creamy coconut milk. Final Thoughts: I really get a water feeling from this...mildly beachy, almost reminds me sunblock. But very creamy and gentle. This could easily be a bigger bottle for summer.

    Milk Moon 2007

This stayed in spoiled milk and sour grapefruit form from the imp to the skin to drydown. I didn't get a bottle because it was my first lunacy and I'm glad I didn't. More for someone else to love.

    Antique Lace

Imp: Complex! Sweet and creamy, but something else is lingering in the background.... Wet: Powder? Possibly baby powder. Hmm... Dry: I get this powder thing....it's not baby powder, but it's powdery. Final Thoughts: this is really unique and interesting, but I don't think it's for me. Then again, I keep going to my wrists to take whiffs. So interesting. Hm...

    Monster Bait: Tokyo Stomp

I can't describe how delicious this is. Imp: Buttery, chocolatey, creamy, mint. YUM. I really do get the Thin Mint thing from this. Wet: WHOA THIN MINTS. Dry: Vanilla mint, almost like a soft minty powdered sugar. Final thoughts: Oh my god. Why does this have to be LE? I'll be so sad when my bottle goes away. This is fabulous. (edited for spelling.)

    Cinnamon girl...

I too, struggled with Snake Oil. I actually tried Saw-Scaled Viper first liked it, so I thought I'd like Snake Oil for sure, but nope. I have an imp aging now, just to see if it makes a difference, but really, I got ZERO vanilla out of it. Saw-Scaled Viper has this really exotic, spicy, warm, sweet-vanilla thing for me after it mellows out. Just gorgeous. But I really had to be patient with it to get there.

    Cinnamon girl...

I like cinnamon and the boyfriend likes it a lot too, so I leaned toward those sorts of scents in the beginning. Chimera and Bengal ended up not working for me at all. Cockaigne, on the other hand, is creamy and spicy, but maybe not specifically cinnamon. Very nice though. I like Saw-Scaled Viper a lot too, but it takes a long time for the ginger to mellow out on me (like 1 hour +), but once it does, it's a really soothing, warm, and sweet vanilla-cinnamon. Maybe not toast, but still nice.

    Roadhouse

This was meh for me from the start. So far, I haven't liked any scent with alcholic notes, and the other notes didn't conjure up and desire either, but it was a frimp, so I had to try it. This one came out all warm and musty on me, a sweet weedy and floral smell, but sharp at the same time. Nothing is really super distinguishable, and I'm not thinking I would really wear this again. Oh well.

    Jezebel

Biblical witch, priestess of Astarte, and general troublemaker. A true role model for today's upwardly mobile Modern Woman. A gloriously decadent blend of honey, roses, orange blossom and sandalwood. This was not much of a morpher, but I got a southern, humid air feeling from it. Wet, but powdery and a bit tangy. Not really my thing. Oh well.
