  1. Amoeba

    Undertow

I thought I'd like this one, but I didn't want to risk anything so I just got the imp. Used it once, loved it, forgot about it...and then put it on again today. LOVE. Think cold. Minty cold. Think of how your mom would put VapoRub on your chest when you were little. Think running through tall, wet grass on a frosty night. It's all these things. Mint plus ice plus freshly cut grass sweetness. And it lasts. I'm lucky if I can get an hour out of most of the other imps I bought, but this one just keeps going with very little change. Whenever my bank account recovers from Spring Break splurging, I'm picking up a bottle of this.

    Hellcat

If you've ever had Butter Rum-flavored Lifesavers, then this is what it smells like in the bottle. On skin (or my skin, at least) it reigns back from being too strong and the sweetness fades a great deal, replaced by a smoky, incense-like smell. I was worried that the candy smell was gone for good but it peeks in every once in a while. It's like a bottle of rum and rum candy and rum cake sitting on a plate in one of those metaphysical/pagan stores. This imp isn't going to last long enough for my big bottle order to get here!
  3. Amoeba

    Whip

(New member, with a first review! Sorry if I'm just repeating what others have been saying.) I got this for Christmas from my boyfriend, and between then and now the bottle is halfway gone. It's that good. Rose rose rose right from the start and it'll stay there hanging around you for hours. (On me it gets sweeter as the day goes on, like a big fat wet rose in the morning and then dried up seedy rose potpourri at night.) The leather doesn't really show up, except to mellow the rose out a teeny bit. Like twenty huge roses pressed into a leather-bound book. One point worth mentioning: If I rub it in to my wrists/wherever, I get the smell of roses and...tires. Maybe the heat from rubbing it makes the chemicals change or some scientific explanation I don't understand. But that's the only low note and it's totally avoidable if you don't press/rub it into your skin. My first BPAL scent and I'm in love!
