  1. In the imp: Slight amberyness?

Wet: It's very light and I'm not sure how to describe it. It's a smell that makes me picture sunflowers, that's the best I can do.

Dry: I really love this, but it's so faint. It is spiced amber, but it's so delicate.

  2. In the imp: Marzipan

Wet: Delicious, just like opening a packet of marzipan.

Dry: Honeyed almonds and very VERY light spices, which stops it from being particularly sweet. Not my favourite almond scent, but it smells so gooood.

  3. In the imp: Camphor, piney and seems masculine.

Wet: Wow, much sweeter, almost like caramel.

Dry: Basically vanilla and very light pine. I think I get the amber, but it's very much a blend with the vanilla. I don't get juniper at all, and I don't think this is as masculine as I'd expect from the description, it's much sweeter and I'll definitely wear it myself.

  4. In the imp: Very "perfumey" red musk

    Wet: Same :/

Dry: Red musk and roses. Red musk doesn't work on me unfortunately, if the rose was more prominent, I'd like it a lot better. This could be lovely on someone else, but it's just not quite something I like smelling on myself.

  5. In the imp: Jasmine. Powdery white flowers.

Wet: Pear? I guess that may have been the lime

Dry: Definitely floral, but all I really get is that icky powdery smell white flowers go to on me :( There's the very slightest citrus hint to it, but it's just overwhelmingly jasmine on me.

  6. In the imp: Sickly sweet bubblegum

Wet: It's more like Parma Violets now but still TOO sweet. I think it's the wine.

Dry: Ah, rose! I was worried it wouldn't come out. The dragon's blood and wine actually work really well as a backup to it, I was so worried when I first smelt it but it's wonderful.

  7. In the imp: Cedar, oh no.

    Wet: Same.

Dry: Frankincense! I think I can pick out some chamomile too. I have no idea what was throwing me off and making me think it was cedar, even after reading the listed notes. I actually love this, I just don't think it's particularly wearable. Maybe better as a room spray.

  8. In the imp: Creamy curry??

Wet: Salty and weirdly, aquatic. It's very fresh.

Dry: This is pretty much gone after 5 minutes :( Just a whisper of freshness left, but no notes are really obvious. Whatever it is smells gorgeous, I just wish I didn't have to snuffle at my wrist to get the scent. I'll keep it in the hope it'll get stronger as it ages.

  9. In the imp: Cinnamon, but sweet rather than spicy.

    Wet: Big Red chewing gum!

Dry: Same. All I'm getting is sweet cinnamon. I wish the other notes were more prominent, apart from thh sandalwood, that can stay where it is...

  10. In the imp: Sophisticated ladies' perfume, a sweet floral at the end.

Wet: Soapy Chanel No.5? It's nicer though, softer.

Dry: Wow, completely different. Lilac, first and foremost, backed by a blend of notes that I can't distinguish. It's not very "me", but I can see my mother loving it.

  11. In the imp: Sweet, a little like honey

    Wet: Slightly like cinnamon

Dry: Sweet cinnamon with something deeper. It's not shouting itself as myrrh, but I suppose that's what it is. It's a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, I feel like a little more either way and it'd be nowhere near this good.

  12. In the imp: Fresh, lemony

    Wet: Sugary lemons and incense

Dry: Honeyed ginger and maybe a touch of milk and I'm still getting the impression of something lemony. It's not quite what I was expecting, but it's really nice, I'm glad I tried it.

  13. In the imp: soft almond and sweet powder of some sort.

    Wet: creamy wheat and almond

Dry: It smells quite a bit like Aveeno moisturiser, only stronger and thicker. Creamier and sweeter, the honey is blended so well that I can't really identify it outright as being honey. Gorgeous.

  14. Not much pint doing an bottle/wet/dry review because this holds the same fragrance right the way through. Freshly cut rose, simple as that. I own this in hair gloss, candle and perfume oil and it's the same amazing scent across them all.

  15. In the bottle: Herbal

    Wet: Nothing?

Dry: I don't know what's gone wrong here but this smells terrible on me. Resins and roses are my go-to, the rose note in this is fine but the resins are this weird, sour almost alcoholic lump of no. Sad.

Mine is 2011 too, so I have to agree with the review below that this one doesn't age well.

  16. In the bottle: Sweetness. Can't put my finger on it.

Wet: Beery and cakey. It's different to the cake and beer notes in Mari Lwyd though.

Dry: It's the incense show now, which is a good thing. The cake and beer is there wayyy back somewhere and something vaguely rosey. Glad I managed to get a bottle!

  17. In the bottle: Nothing? Slightly piney, if I really think about it.

Wet: Tree sap? This is weird, it's so nondescript and I'm disappointed.

Dry: Church! This smells exactly like a church. Polished pews and old wood. Later on, a soft incense joins in. It's actually quite comforting.

  18. In the bottle: Sweeet, sweet sugar

Wet: Cakes! A hint of beer

Dry: Sweet, lovely raisin cakes. I think the sweetness is probably bulked out by the lavender, which usually makes me feel queasy, but it's not identifiable AS lavender to me. That alone would usually put me off, but I'm Welsh and massively into folklore so this was a Christmas gift from my parents. I remember saying when I opened it that it reminded me of opening new My Little Ponies on Christmas morning :)

Added bonus, this sticks around for ages. One application will do me all day and night.

  19. In the bottle: Medicinal and a bit sour, which must be the oakmoss.

    Wet: Medicinal and resiny

Dry: Roses smoothed out by balsam. The sour note is mostly gone, it's almost sweet now but there's still an edge to it. It's similar to Ruined Roses hairgloss and I wear them together a lot.

  20. In the imp: Creamy aquatic

    Wet: Salty and creamy

Dry: Creamy and aquatic once again. Like very very slight sweet lemon and milk? I was wary of this because I'd never tried a cream/milk not perfume before and have read how it really disagrees with some people. So glad that doesn't apply to me because this is clean and fresh and awesome. My favourite just-got-out-the-bath fragrance for relaxing at night and I'm definitely buying a big bottle.

  21. In the imp: Myrrh

Wet: Myrrh and I can pick out the frankincense

Dry: I wish this lasted longer because I love it. The frankincense ends up the most prominent but it's definitely bulked out by the myrrh and I get an almost waxy scent, like beeswax.

  22. In the imp: Almond and incense

Wet: Almond and faint, faint wood polish

Dry: Roses! I guess it morphed out of the wood polish because that's definitely gone now. I don't really get any honey out of it, just resinous rose.
