I would recommend French Creole but it was discontinued
I wear this for meetings or for added strength.
It is supposed to draw influential people to you and not in a sex way.
Maybe Crucible of Courage or Has No Hanna could make you feel a bit bolder as well
-
I'm kinda surprised no one mentioned Hamadryad. It's nice and woodsy, but spicy at the same time.i agree hamadryad is magical and lovely like lush's flowertub bubble bath in that woodsy yet slightly feminine way.
also, tingatel, umbra and intrigue are quite woodsy, deep and dreamy to me.

antique lace and pele
-
antique lace so perfectly light and sheer with a wisp of musk behind it.
snake oil sexy spiced vanilla but not foody
la petite mort is another good rec too.
-
just wore Sacred Whore of Babylon tonight for the first time and you ordered well with this, New Orleans, Whip and Black Dahlia!
This is my current favorite oil...I am in love!
-
i just got Intrigue and I smell the fig in it very nice!
figs, palm, cocoa and wood...a good combo.
-
antique lace
empyreal mist
segur segara
dana o'shee
maiden
la petite mort
water of notre dame
nocturne
all are floral based but very soft and wispy and no "old lady" smell
-
hmm- my picks are:
new orleans, love me, sin, morocco, queen of sheba, seraglio, wanda, blood kiss and O.
all are so sexy and unique and are highly addictive
golden priapus is like O for the boys- it has an added layer of woodsy notes- so that makes sense, purely cosmetic, that you are drawn to both
i get crazy reactions when i wear O so i can only imagine what golden priapus would start!
if i want even more oomph, i layer sin or love me with O or queen of sheba
eta: forgot to mention schezerade you said you like sandalwood and this is so sexy! it blends well with O and the honey-ish ones or with florals too for some extra mee-owww!

I would love to find something that compliments Lush's Flying Fox - it's such a sensual jasmine and honey smell - I get so many compliments from just showering with that Gel that I would love to have something to layer with it.If anyone has read Tom Robbin's 'Jitterbug Perfume' Flying Fox is exactly how I would imagine the perfume in that book would smell.
'"I am sweet" says jasmine'
I thought Love Me smelled a lot like Flying Fox
well, i have posted b/f that oneiroi the dream oil is exactly like flying fox
and i am in love with love me but it is definitely cinnamonny and got some spice going on that isn't in flying fox so i would necessarily link the two as similar- i am sure they are great to use together though
-
Bayou very watery, magical and not like anything else!
-
Was showering at the gym with Tramp and got to thinking that Aureus reminds me of Tramp
and also, for Silky Undies lovers, Venom & Umbra together smell like this.
Venom on its own reminds me of Sex Bomb & Sakura/Seanick together!
-
thought of a few more!
perversion, dragon's blood, dragon's milk, blood amber, blood kiss, lust, oneiroi, baku and temple of dreams.
eta: ooh ooh...one more! bastet

Golden Priapus is a lot like Snake Oil on me, with the addition of soft woods and amber.golden priapus is O for the boys- it has the addition of the woods and musk- it s a little different from snake oil
i really like fae and tamora and have to say that marquise de merteuil with its juicy peach gives a similar vibe
-
i would suggest: hamadryad, la petit mort, snake oil, merquise de merteuil, sin, love me, chimera, water of notre dame, antique lace, queen of sheba, r'yleah, seraglio, red devil, O, envy, three witches, scherezade.
all of these are either spicy/creamy or clean and fresh. none of these are florally esp. rose or jasmine. since you like tamora, i especially thought of marquise de merteuil enjoy!
eta: none of these are too foody either
-
well, you got some good suggestions already...add this into the mix: it isn't the ocean but bayou is a murky and not too clean watery scent...i also love r'yleah too very ozone-ish and fantastic.
-
i am only now starting on the bpal journey. i have quite a few imps from a friend and fell head over heels for tintagel what r some similar scents i may wanna get imps of? tiahamadryad is very similar to tingatel i think i love these two myself!

I have noticed a pattern in the perfumes I absolutely adore: vanilla & florals...especially Jasmine or Rose. The BPAL selection is limited in these combos. I love Siren but it's more of a warm weather perfume. Mata Hari didn't work at all for me, the coffee became prominent. Desire was "ok" but not "special", if you know what I mean. Golden P, I haven't tried because it's rosewood, not rose.
As far as non-BPAL fragrances I love Burberry's London, J'dore (no vanilla listed but it turns vanillish on me), Jean Louie Scherrer 2 and DSH Antique Rose.
Scherrer 2 was my signature fragrance for many years. Unfortunately, it's too closely associated with an old flame of mine. Since it's not as familiar as the other one's, here's the notes to give you some ideas.
SCHERRER 2
By JEAN LOUIS SCHERRER
YEAR INTRODUCED - 1950
FRAGRANCE NOTES - Bergamot, pineapple, anise, jasmine, tuberose, honey, vanilla, sandal, heliotrope, benzoin.
I'd really like to use just BPAL, any blend suggestions?
since you have tried mata hari and desire and those haven't worked, i would recommend some layering to get the perfect rose and vanilla or jasmine and vanilla combo
i would pick a creamy vanilla-ish base like snake oil or o and then layer with one of beth's amazing rose blends like rose red or whip. both are so dreamy even on their own and you will love them.
for jasmine, and i am a jasmine fan myself, layer over the snake oil or o with new orleans or oneiroi or black dahlia.
some other good jasminey ones are- nyx, queen mab, wicked, twilight and the first 3 have rose too!
i always layer with my bpal blends- its fun to play around
eta- spelling boo-boos

Heh, at least I'm not the only one who thinks it's a dead-on dupe of Angel. I was beginning to think I was crazy.hi y'all i saw this thread and was reminded that i had purchased the eau de parfum bottle which is the refillable 25 ml. one of angel over the summer and have used maybe almost half- so it is still pretty full and is eau de parfum which is pretty potent and can be refilled- they do refills at nordstrom's for less than the bottle price so its a good deal...i haven't worn it since the summer and feel bad holding on it. anybody who loves angel, feel free to pm me with an offer- i have paypal or like lush stuff too- and i shall send it over to an angel-hungry angel with some other goodies too!

thats too bad sarah migraines suck.
from what i have tried, 9 mysteries is cooling and minty and this helps me when i have a headache.
also, sudha segara is very light and creamy in a comforting way.
-
on me, sybaris is very much like lush's skinny dip- the mix of violets and spiciness with tonka makes it creamy and i get a chocolate vibe in there-yum
-
Take a bath with Marzibain, Butterball and use Cherie Ripe afterwards and then put on Blood Kiss- a match made in vanilla-cherry-smoky-creamy heaven
Also, I find that Snowcake and Sudha Segara or Black Pearl go great together
They both have the silky nutty undertone and milkiness with light floral that Snowcake brings to the table.
Nine Mysteries and Freeze are twinsies too.
eta: I can now happily confirm that if you love Skinny Dip, try Sybaris!!!
It is violety-chocolatey-creamy- spicy in that SD kind of way.
Also, a near match is Faustus layered with a touch of Bliss.
Strangely, Faustus on its own, which isn't jasmine reminds me of Silky Undies as well.

Oh My
This has taken me quite by surprise...I am in love with Wanda! I bought this b/c of the great reviews and the fact that it has so many things in it that I adore added to the mystique of the literary reference of Wanda herself.
Okay...I knew I would like it but- hold the phones...
I need a big bottle immediately...I love everything about this one. The violets, the musk, the leather, the red wine, the rose...ahhhh...orgasmic
This one stays pretty true on me from bottle to wrist to dry-down. Purely sexual and so enticing...I feel a bit of a rush when I breathe it in.
I will definitely need more and will be wearing this one when I need to turn up the volume and the heat!
Beth, this is great perfumery at its finest...thank you

ooh most definitely Morgause and Nocturne...I am a purple girl too

how about Seraglio ?
it is one that morphs and changes, has a slightly foody vibe like baklava at the start but deepens and softens with rose and sandalwood and orange peel.
very addictive.
