  1. I just received my order today, and I must say that gingerbread snake might be one of the sexiest blends I've ever smelled I'll have to try this one out for effect on the husband tonight I also got a frimp of The Lion and personally would love to smell that on a man!

    Gingerbread Snake

This is simply amazing. It's supersexy vanilla gingerbread! I adore snake oil both fresh and aged, and have also loved snakes in the pumpkin patch, but this is something different alltogether.I'm not getting as much snake oil from it,it is definately a scent of its own,but the vanilla and spices from snake oil blend wonderfully with the cinnamon and gingerbread. This will no doubt be even better in a couple of months

    Snake Oil Bath Oil

This may just be the best scented thing ever made.My bottle arrived today and even though I had high expectations,I am completely blown away by this. It smells of aged snake oil, but with even more sugary vanilla sexyness! To me this honestly smells like pure lust in a bottle. I can see myself using this as a moisturizer,in my hair, mixed in with conditioner and other products... As soon as this one runs low I'll be getting another bottle,I never ever want to be without this stuff

    Eat Me

I adore this scent! This is pure cakey, sugary vanilla goodness on me I usually like sexy foody scents, this is not sexy but it comes close to my idea of the perfect foody blend. If I want it to be more sexy I layer it with o
  5. I'm resurrecting an old thread it appears, but I find this topic fascinating So far,I've had most luck with Snakes in the pumpkin patch and Hellcat, both of which seem to elicit quite a...ahem...physical response from the husband I've also had compliments on Blood Kiss.

Snake Oil in the Pumpkin Patch

since snake oil is rapidly becoming one of my favorite scents (it is just so addicting, and sexy, and delicious, and purrrrrfect,and...) I absolutely had to try this one! Let me start by saying that over here in Belgium,we are not used to pumpkin scents.Pumpkin is not frequently eaten over here either and when it is,it is always in savory dishes (soup, mostly)and never in sweet ones. So I have been really curious about a sweet pumpkin scent, but I don't know what exactly that should smell like In the vial and wet on skin I was at first blown away by the pumpkin. In a way it was not what I had expected, since to my nose (and my husband's) it smelled smoky rather than sweet.Like roasted pumpkin. In this stage it completely overpowered my beloved snake oil though. After fifteen minutes or so,it dried down into the most lovely perfume.Definately snake oil, with smokey but sweet pumpkin and a hint of cinnamon A bit more foody than the Original, which I like. I will definately buy this again and am looking forward to seeing how it ages

    Lyonesse

Golden vanilla and gilded musk, stargazer lily, white sandalwood, grey amber, elemi, orris root, ambergris and sea moss. I love the vanilla in this one. It's a mature, sophisticated, somewhat understated kind of vanilla that gets perfectly balanced by the salty note. It's a blend I would wear to a job interview. I personally would not buy a bottle of this because I'm a sweet, over the top-foody vanilla kind of girl and my next order will already contain four of five vanilla blends, but I can imagine how someone who usually doesnt like the in your face type of vanilla would absolutely adore this.

    Jack

Somehow I really can't decide if I like this one or not. Sometimes it smells of glorious, sweet pumpkin pie to me and other times I find it harsh and tangy, more like an overdose of raw pumpkin. What I absolutely love about it though is the throw and how long it lasts. Seriously, one teensy little swipe from the imp (like 1/4 of a drop or something) and my husband could smell me from across the room. And he still could more than four hours later;I wish my favourites were as strong as this one I might try and layer it with something sweet and creamy and see how that goes.

    Queen of Sheba

I had high hopes for queen of sheba, it being a blend that contains honey and no florals...as I first put it on, it was wonderful,a very good mix between sweet and spicy and the almonds smelled of marzipan to my nose. Five minutes later however it acquired a nasty bitter smell I don't know if it's the spices that did it or if I just can't wear a blend with almonds in it, but it's off to the swap box with this one.

    Bengal

Apparently I love any bpal blend with a good dose of honey in it This actually reminds me a lot of sudha segara, it smells of gingerbread cookies and somehow vaguely creamy. But where sudha disappeared on me in under ten minutes,Bengal is a much stronger scent. This will no doubt end up in my top ten, maybe even top five

    Blood Kiss

dingdingding we have a winner I was a bit scared to try this blend at first because of the vetiver, a note I strongly dislike...but this is just gorgeous! I don't smell the vetiver AT ALL! This is all honey on me, my skin tends to amp it and since it is one of my favorite notes I'm very pleased with that. The honey stays dominant throughout the drydown, but it gets deepened by the vanilla and the musk (which I also adore) and I get a slight hint of sweet cherry but not overly so. I will need multiple bottles of this...so far (I've tried around 35 blends thus far) Blood Kiss is competing with Snake Oil for first place among my favorites.

    Wicked

Alas, however much I like the idea of rose and yasmine, I am fast discovering that I am unable to wear most blends that contain them Nothing wicked here for me, except maybe the overwhelming smell of old ladies and soap

    Lust

This blend is fast becoming one of my favorites, definately in the top five of scents I've tried so far. It's very earthy, musky and warm and manages to smell both reassuring and comfy and incredibly sexy at the same time. My husband loves this on me as well.

    Snake Oil

I just tried this blend today, it was on the top of my wishlist and I had been wanting to get my hands on an imp of it ever since discovering bpal.Let me say it did not disappoint!! I LOVE this scent! The vanilla is very dominant and sweet on me but countered by the spicy and incredibly sexy undertone. In fact it is so good I ordered two bottles of it ten minutes after putting this on, despite the promise I made myself not to place an order before I've tried all my imps...but I don't think I can be without a bottle of this for another two months

    Lolita

This one did not work for me at all, to the point of being nauseating. At first I couldn't tell what made me dislike this blend so much, but after a good hour (I put it on before leaving for work so I couldnt wash it off) it dawned on me: to my nose this stuff smells exactly like the stuff you need to drink before getting a coloscopy. They flavor that drink with some kind of artificial lemon extract and I once had to drink 3 litres of it in a short amount of time so I literally gagged on the stuff while drinking it So it's probably the lemon verbena ruining this for me,I can imagine someone who hasn't shared my experience liking it very much
