Goodness! This was a frimp, because while I wanted to try it, I was afraid of 9 herbs being thrown together that mythologically had nothing to do with scent. They work! Herbal, but not at all in a medicinal way. At first, I thought it might be too masculine for me, but a little while later it got warmer and sweeter I really like it!

ONOOOOOES I wanted to love this so much :/ I get no coffee - just hazelnut, butter, and toffee. I smell like a candy I -might- like to eat, but definitely don't want to wear. I hope it smells better on one of my friends, so that I may make a yummy gift of it (and get it away from me ;. Blahblahblah. I had such high hopes, alas!

    Block Buster

Sweet apples and flowers? And a little spicy zip. And -honey-! But not what honey scented things usually smell like - like a jar of delicious honey. If this is BPAL's honey note, I want everything that has it!! Yum! Not sure yet about the voodoo properties, but I'm travelling today and I hope it works

Um...sex? Wait, lemme think. This is my first leather scent from BPAL... Sex and leather? Only, not like leather coat store leather...naughtier than that. In a very good way. A little bit of wood, musk, and a teeny bit of amber. I think this has the strongest throw of all the oils I've tried so far! I keep getting alluring whiffs from my arm. I don't get to see the boy often enough that I think I need a bottle right now, but someday I will have one! <3

    Eat Me

In the imp: Blah, butter! I'm discovering that I hate the foody smells (they nauseate me, bleh) in the bottle, but once they're on, I'm all set! On: Fades into a yummmy white cake, with a hint of frosting. Yumyum. It's on my ankle, and I keep contorting to sniff I got this for a friend for the holidays, but yum! I may have to get myself an imp

    Pumpkin Queen

In the bottle: Blahhhhh, buttery madness! with a little pumpkin :/ On: Spicy pumpkin deliciousness! Butter disappears almost completely, hooray! Spices, barely a little orange, warm pumpkin with amber underneath. I didn't find the throw to be very strong, but my roommate told me Her Highness was stinking up the room in a most delightful fashion! Wearing this on Thanksgiving...I think she'll go just right with the food, and she sure won't bother those members of my family that dislike perfume (I was one of them, until BPAL ).

    Amsterdam

Grass, and something that strikes me as a nice generic women's perfume - that's the water, probably. It's much better than most women's perfumes, but I'll have to see if it gives me a headache like they usually do. It's lovely, but I think not for me.

    Endymion

On my roommate, this smells romantically like light flowers and pear. On me, it smells like plastic skunk. Literally, I had a little plastic skunk when I was little that was sorta scented (though it didn't really smell at all like real skunk). I have fond memories of that toy skunk, but I don't wanna wear it
  9. I just made an order on paypal, but gave them the wrong shipping address. I e-mailed blackphoenix@blackphoenixalchemylab.com, because that was what Paypal listed as their contact address- should I have used the answers e-mail address instead? ETA: Just realized I haven't sent the e-mail yet, am changing it to the answers address ^^

    Black Hellebore

When I deliberately sniff my wrists with this on, it's muuuch too strong of a floral for me. But oh, the wafts I get from wearing it. Warm and floral and creamy. I just can't put my nose on my wrists while I'm wearing it ^^ I like it a lot.

    Villain

In the imp: Fiesty lavender and citrus. On me: Classic victorian men's cologne. Too masculine for me. Niceish, tho ^^ ETA: Have had to wash it off. Nice scent, but I got tired of smelling like a man and put on something more feminine

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

This is...puzzling, in a good way. In the imp: Baffling. Sweet, nostalgic, sort of floral? On, wet: Still puzzling - very sweet, but not cloying, delicate but not faint in the least, sandalwood spicy. On, dry: Migrated throughout the day. Floral and sweet, to spicy, to amber and sweet pea. I just reapplied it, because it had gotten faint since 10 this morning (it's 7:20 now) Overall: This is thoroughly baffling, and absolutely exquisite. It's art. I love it, confusedly. Someday, a bottle. Someday very soon, depending on the state of my self control ^^

    Brisingamen

In the imp: Veeery strong floral >< On wet: Spicy floral, a little amber On dry: O, sweet Brisingamen Amber and spice (which I assume is the myrtle), with little once in a while dashes of floral or apple scents. I had such high hopes for this one - <3 Freya! - I'm very, very glad it lives up to said hopes! A bottle? Definitely somewhere in my future ^^

    Black Opal

This is looovely Unfortunately there seems to have been an imp malfunction in the mail, so it's only around a 1/4 of the way full ;.; But that's ok, because I'll probably end up ordering a bottle at some point ^^ In the bottle: There's something very bitey about the way it smells in the bottle - plantlike and sharp. Also, a little vanilla. On me: Oooh, sweet delight When I smell my wrists directly I get vanilla and amber, but when I'm caught unawares and doing other things, there are little flashes of the sharpness - balanced out still by the amber and vanilla. Ooh, lovely. I keep making my friends smell me, hehe. They don't seem to mind. On a scale of one to wonderful, this gets a wonderful

    Golden Priapus

I can't even believe how much I love this. While it is very masculine in the bottle, it also smells wonderful on me. I can't wait to try it on my darling boy. Specifically - it's a little sweet, ambery, and it has notes in it that usually make me go "Yay, Christmas!" but they don't make me feel that way now. The juniper and pine smell like they've melted deliciously into the amber - it balances so perfectly, because it makes the amber not-too-sweet, and the juniper and pine become not-too-sharp ^^ This is very sexy and comforting and relaxing, and I -love- it. Took me a while to get my thoughts together, because I've just been lying on my bed, sniffing, and basking. Hello, my first big bottle order!

Too flowery for me in the bottle! On (wet): Soapy and floral? On (later): Sage and sweetpea (I think that's what smells sweet, hehe), and musk - almost no floral. At one point I sniffed in class and was shocked! at how yummy my wrist smelled - it reminded me of amber, which I assume was the tonka bean. That's faded now, but I still quite like it Reminds me a little of lying outside in the grass in the spring- though there's nothing in it that smells like grass. I guess it's more the feeling.

    The Unicorn

A misty, almost luminous perfume: wispy linden blossoms, white flowers, and a touch of sweet herbs. In the bottle: Lime candy? flowers, and something a little spicy. On: More floral, sort of sweet and flowery. A little nip of something spicy, maybe one of the herbs? No a bottle for me, I don't think, but I'll wear it and enjoy:D Edited because the site spazzed and doubled my post

    Dublin

Wet: overwhelming flowery and spicy - like a new age shop I used to go to with my mum (in a good way) On: mellows, less floral, still faintly spicy. Smells almost a little masculine to me. Like a stick of good incense. Something I can wear now, because it's not so strong. 6 hours later: Spicy and peppery. Not sure what alder leaf smells like, but it might be this ^^ I like it!

I also had an "Oh no, almond!" reaction at first, but it was just barely not enough almond to turn my stomach, as is my usual reaction (amaretto, blech). Creamy, and sweet - definitely milk, honey, and almonds. Turns powdery when it dries - but not in a way that bothers me. Has lasted for four hours, so far ^^ Not a big bottle, but I'll use this little imp! ETA: Faded gradually, but lasted til I showered around 10 ^^ One of my friends was holding up my wrist to her nose all evening and miming biting it , hehe. So there's a very positive reaction
