Well I got her today.
At first it was VERY fruity, almost to Fire Pig fruit-poo-ness. But there's something behind keeping it from being TOO sweet.
Then the patchuli comes out. I like Mme Morarty, but in this blend it goes straight to corkboard/hippyness on me. (sorry Inanna9) It's dirty and dusty smelling with the bits of floral and fruit mixed it. She likes me not.
I'm glad I got it for the bottle art and the coffin case!
ETA: I'm a complete foodie so this wasn't totally unsurprising that the "dust" and patchuli have turned me off.

Ok since today is probably the last day...how about rec's for a foodie?
-
When wearing this I smell angel food cake. Right out of the oven with that warm toasty almost burnt carmalized sugar crust!
I'm in HEAVEN!

I must have a wonky nose or really strange chemistry. I get MINT!!! while it's wet. So potent that I can't get near it.
On dry down I smell girl scout cookies 'Thin Mints'
Nice, but not wearable.

Cloves and cardamom. They overwhelm the the chocolate on me. I'm sad to say that it didn't work out NEARLY as well as my favorite (Oct) 13. Hopefully better luck in July.

I love the apple this becomes on me. It's a good substitute (for me) to Punkie Night. The apple is tart and crisp

I'm finding Poison Apple is a good substitute for Punkie Night and I'm sure if it's layered with Jack it would really be
I've not done a side by side testing, since I'm not all that interested in a PERFECT match, but the apples and spice are quite good and I don't have to worry about running through my punkie night stash so quickly.

In the bottle: I got lots of carmel with coco and maybe a whiff of cherries.
On, it dried down to a powery cinnemon. It wasn't bad, in fact my husband really liked it on me, but not the rich foodie scent I was hoping for.
The good news is, I now have a way to convince him to buy me a scent locket!

Heavy sage. I don't even get the patchuli that loves to amp on me.
Even drying down it's heavy heavy sage. I smell like the dried flower section of Michaels.

I agree that this is a citrus floral Just the right amount of each. -
Lavender.
That is all.

Oh I'm in agony of longing. I've only got an imp of this one! The freesia and pear with a hint of rose. Lightly floral and sweet! I will horde this one!
-
oh wow, it's spicy. A very warm and comfortable scent but the musk is turning on me. Drydown turned into feral animal
-
I really didn't think I was going to like this one because Patchouli like to turn into corkboard. Which it kind of did...but the other notes have pushed it in the background and I have to hunt for it.
Yum.
Thank you imps...you knew I had my true love

Lady MacBeth smells very sweet apple-ly to me. Kinda reminds me of Jolly Ranchers Green Apple candy. Its love.
Wow all I get was booze! Which make me VERY ill.
-
Is there a scent that has the fresh grape scent (gah NOT the faky bubblegum smell) that ISN'T a boozy wine?
-
Well snake oil doesn't do anything for me. I think the patchouli is too much in any form for me. The vanilla is nice, but I prefer some of the other blends over this one.

I got this as a frimp in a swap.
At first the pumpkin was VERY strong. Almost overpowering, which is saying a lot since I'm such a foodie.
Then it died down and the peaches cinnemon and spices came out. Oh I"m in autumn heaven. It reminds me of punkie night. So yay for a GC substitute!
I haven't tried them side by side, but they're close enough to keep me happy.
-
I like how warm this one smells. It's very comforting and foodie. (A big plus for me)
But I think the it's the almonds that give it a really dark sweetness. It reminds me of syrup somehow. I didn't get any of the boozyness, I don't know if it's because I didn't sniff it close while it was wet or I've just gotten an aged bottle.
Not something I want to wear every day, but quite nice.

I'm another person that's not overly fond of pine scents, but there's something sweet and wild that keeps me sniffing my wrist.
Pine and cedar are definatly at the forefront, but there's a sweet deepness that I really am enjoying.

Punkie Nights smells like fresh apple cider and reminds me of Aamotts apple orchard at harvest time! :wau2: That's on my horde list!

I'm with you on that. *sigh* I have a friend that owns a consignment botique and she fell in love with Bpal (and Possets) and would love to have them in store.
