About Me

About me, huh? Well, lets see what I can dig out that's interesting...

I discovered Bpal a few years ago when I was hunting for a new perfume in Boots and the nice lady in the queue next to me asked if I'd heard of Black Phoenix. When I replied in the negative, she described Bpal in such a way that me pounce on the computer the first chance I got, and then I joined this forum the first time!

The attempt to recall my first two imp sets has failed, but not to worry. I met a lovely lady through this site and she had a UK order group, so when I made my first order, she sent me a few to get me started, which showed how wonderful and kind some people can be. The ones she sent me were Hurricane, Lightning, and that's where my memory yet again fails. I hope she's still around Madness as I would dearly love to contact her.

Anyway, I'm 33 years old and I live with a cat, which just about sums thing up! I love movies, especially the ridiculously far-fetched ones that can be found on the Syfy channel. Horror is another genre I lean towards and, of course, the two truly epic serials that own my heart are Friday The 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street. I'm currently gearing myself up for an event in Milton Keynes at the end of this month. Ken Kirzinger, who plays the almighty Jason Voorhees in Freddy vs Jason, will be in attendance and I have a replica of the machete used in the Friday The 13th movies which is going to get signed. I'm so chuffed :woohoo: :joy:

My main hobby in life is writing. I love, love, love it! I've been writing fanfiction and short original stories for ten years, and there's no sign of me stopping anytime soon. I also write reviews for cosmetics, skin care, hair care, clothes, shoes, and books. The reason why I love writing so much is because there's very little else I can do. I was knocked over by a car when I was 11 years old and lost my entire right leg and hip.

Not to worry, though. After I recovered, I went on to win some medals in the junior athletics with the British Sports Association for the Disabled (yes, it spells BSAD!). I competed for my school and when I won that round, I competed in the regionals, and I thankfully made it to the nationals. I came second! The events I took part in were the shotput, javelin, and discuss. After winning two gold, three silver, and four bronze, I decided to branch out into half marathons and competed in a local one in Peterlee. The bronze was won, which considering it was not just my first marathon, but also my first actual race, I was very proud to bring home the bronze.

I've been up Ben Nevis with the Royal Logistics Corps regiment of the British Army, co-organised outreach programs with local community centers and special needs support groups. At one point, I was even hired to do wheelchair awareness with the Durham County Council, which included the mayor!! I can't begin to tell you how fun it was to see Mr. Cavanagh going around in circles and that was before he made it out of the door!!!

Well, it's time for me to stop babbling and get back to work, as I have three more reviews to write today. Two nail colors, both from China Glaze, and the Bondette Miniatures from the James Bond collection by O.P.I. If you're interested in looking through the reviews, I've put the external link in the blog thing on Madness.

Blind with your smile all the rest

Pour your strength against the test

Take the hugs upon your chest

Let the hope bring out your best.

Stay safe and keep smiling,

Much love and many snogs, Jude xxx
