    White Chocolate, Marshmallow, and Coconut

I think Tramp had it exactly right when she said this smells like Baileys. When it dries down it is similar to Dia de Reyes. The coconut was present at the very beginning, but disapeared on me. I didn't get any marshmallow at all, which is what I was really hoping for. I'm a huge fan of the Poof, so that was a disapointment. It's nice, but not what I was hoping for.

Oh thank you for the picture! Agape is so beautiful!

What do bottles and labels look like?

So has anyone posted a picture of Agape yet? I gleaned from the review thread that it is a forum skin? I have a suspicion that it is the April Fool's unicorn skin? Or am I way off?

What do bottles and labels look like?

Whoa, the box of chocolates are all so beautiful. I'm going to have to buy or hunt down the two that I didn't order. I was sort of planning to anyway, but the bottle art made it more urgent. I sort of like the old GC labels more than the new ones because the old ones look more old fashioned and art nouveau to me. Don't hit me! But the new ones are also very pretty. I don't actually buy many of the "regular" GCs anyway, compared to how many LEs I purchase, so it's not something I feel strongly about.

    White Chocolate and Sugared Violets

In the bottle: chocolate. Is this what the lab's white chocolate smells like? Because it brings to mind a very very dark chocolate for me. Very dark and deep. Wet: Deeeep chocolate, dark and rich, but not buttery or creamy, just deep deep flavorful chocolate. And now the violet comes out. My, this is so nice. The violet is slightly sweet and candyish, but not too sweet. And together they are so well balanced, blending together perfectly. One complimenting the other. I wasn't sure that I could really pull this off from the description, but this is perfect. It's not too foody or too violety. Drydown: Sweet and chocolate and violet! Sometimes violet can be too pushy on me. Sometimes violet can smell kind of medicinal and harsh, but this violet is subdued. She's there, but not screaming. And the chocolate is soo sooo sooo good. I can't wait for my order to come so I can try the others. I can see wearing this a lot, which is not what I had expected. Purple and chocolate *huffs wrist* If I had to compare this to something, I'd say it's a lot like Boomslang with violet instead of Snake Oil. ETA: After an hour I do smell the "sugar" from Hope. I never tried Faith, but I'll bet it's the same note. So I amend my opinion to a cross between Faith and Boomslang.

    Jazz Funeral

In the vial: Oh no. This is the dirt note that smells like mildew to me. Tons of people love it, but I can't stand it. Do I dare put it on? Why not. Wet: the dirt note from before with water, and some kind of spices, and fruit? Drydown: Anyone who likes Penny Dreadful or Zombi should give this a try. It centers around the same dirt note. Although it is more wet and mossy than dirty, I think. It doesn't remind me as strongly of mildew and it is interesting. Also reminds me of Singing Moon and slightly of Shanghi Tunnel. I'm guessing they share some notes with it. Go to the catacombs and bring some spiced fruit with you.

    Le Serpent Qui Danse

In the vial: violet Wet: violet and vanilla, and maybe something else that keeps it from being sweet. It's almost medicinal, but I think violet is usually somewhat medicinal to me. There's something nice about the mystery notes and the way they blend with the violet. It's complex but well balanced. Drydown: Almost candy-like if you like your candy violet flavored. I never got to try Faith, but I imagine this is somewhat similar. Anyone who loves violet should at least try this. It's violet through and through.

    Tavern of Hell

White gardenia, ambergris bouquet, lavender fougere, orange blossom, melissa, tobacco flower, coriander, ebony wood, ylang ylang, absinthe and aged whiskey. In the vial: Oh woah, strong and dark Wet: lavendar, something resinous, something clean Drydown: gardenia, lavendar and something very dark. The notes I listed sound feminine, but this is not light or airy at all, this is dark. Is that magnolia? I think that is magnolia. Magnolia is one of those unique florals that don't smell very floral to me, and the lavendar is astringent. And the gardenia is clean. So all in all this is reminding me of a very gentlemanly aftershave. Not that the right woman couldn't pull this off.

    Mata Hari

... Her scent is striking and bold with a delicate yet dark undertone: five roses with soft jasmine, warmed by vanilla, fig, tonka bean and mahogany, spiced with a drop of coffee bean. In the vial: jasmine and something weird Wet: sweet jasmine and something sweeter that I can't identify Drydown: I think that must be rose poking through the jasmine, but I'm not sure. It smells very strange to me. That's an awful lot of jasmine. Okay now it smells less weird. It reminds me of Lush's Butterfly bath bomb. Actually it's pretty close to the same fragrance. Interesting. It's very strong though. If it were dilluted I think it would be nicer. I could see mixing this with lotion or into unscented hair products. This jasmine is nicer than some of the other bpal jasmines because it's sweet and not diapery at all. Sorry, but that's what some of the other bpal jasmines make me think of. I don't know why. This is going into my keep pile. Oh, you know what? This smells exactly like Jasmine Henna Fluff Ease! Awesome. I love that stuff.

    Shroud

Dry white sandalwood wrapped in thin woods, soft grasses and the lightest white flowers layered over cajeput and the warm, deep scent of embalming herbs. In the vial: pungent fresh cut wood and dry sandalwood Wet: the wood goes kind of sweet and the sandalwood amps. I love sandalwood. Drydown: Sandalwood. It smells very much like a carpenter's shop to me, one that works with exotic woods.

    Slobbering Pine

In the vial: piney and fresh like smashed fresh pine needles Wet: clean, wet, some kind of aquatic, something mint-like, pine pine pine Drydown: Wow, that's more aquatic than I was expecting. I shouldn't be shocked, it is "slobbering" afterall. I'm getting more soap now. It's still somewhat minty. It brings to mind an evergreen forrest in the rain. It's very cold and fresh.

    Black Cat

In the vial: soap and mint wet: aquatics and mint drydown: This would be a good summer scent, but I think it's a little masculine with my chemistry. The mint is very nice. It's a very cool scent.

    Snake Charmer

In the bottle: earthy incense that I bought from the medieval fair when I was 12 plus musk. Niiiice! Wet: da-ang! A little of this goes a lo-ong way apparently. I think I just made my whole apartment smell fabulous. Mmmmm, it's like the dark devil cola-ish note I get from Swarzer Mond, plus something more femininely seductive. If I hard heard a SM comparison before I ordered this, I would have ordered more bottles. Incense is a comparison I use a lot when describing bpal, which isn't fair because it's like saying "floral" or "fruity." This one is reminding me of Dragon's Bone meets SM in the wet stage. Drydown: Now I get the Mme Moriarty comparison. It's just like the Madame but without the spilled wine. Spicy and seductive musk, but sophisticated. You know what else this reminds me of? Coco by Chanel. It's not the same, not by a longshot but it has the same mood. Like expensive and confident, but more unique and seductive. Why did I only buy three bottles of this? It is more than worth all of the fuss. Strangely it doesn't remind me of Snake Oil at all, except that they belong to the same 'incensey' family.

    Coyote

In the vial: sweetness and resins. Wet: dry grasses, musk, candy Drydown: sweet musk. Very candyish on me. Sort of clean, but berryish resin. I don't know what what this note is that I am detecting.

    Cthulhu

In the vial: Sow-oap! Wet: soapy water, something dark in the background Drydown: green and cold and soapy! Very very clean.
  17. mooncityminx

    Jolly Roger

In the vial: woods and aquatics Wet: Woods and water, kelp, and ozone. Drydown: This is the perfect pirate scent. It's the smell of the ship and the ocean. It's not the sort of thing that I think I would wear, but if I could get my husband to wear aquatics, I think it would be great on him. A lot of people are calling this one unisex, but with my chemistry it is somewhat masculine. It never goes soapy or sharp.

    Frederic

In the vial: sweet woods and incense Wet: red spices, sweet woods, soap. This is making me think of my bottle of Count Dracula, but with soap, and something a little less masculine that I can't identify. Drydown: Sweeter still. This is now reminding me of Dragon's Bone and Schwarzer Mond, so it must have a similar note somewhere. But I think this is the fragrance of an actor, who plays many parts. I think I might like to smell this on my husband. There's something cola-ish going on here.

    Iago

In the vial: dark and resinous, woods and incense Wet: resinous woods and incense smoke, there is the musk. Is that leather? What a serious cologne. Drydown: Whoa, that's a lot of leather, but underneath there is still the incense and woods. It's a nice complex but dark cologne. Nice. Very masculine.

    Holiday Stress Relief Bath Oil

The first thing I smelled when I opened the bottle was lemon geranium and lavendar. I was reminded of a serum that Crabtree and Evelyn used to sell back when they had aromatherapy products. I really miss that stuff. But once I put some in the water I could smell more and more geranium. Mmmm. I have several scented geraniums in my window, so it was exciting to be able to identify each geranium note. In addition to the lemon geranium I also detected rose geranium. Ahhh. I rubbed some on my arms and shoulders when I was done, and when I did that I could smell the wonderful peppermint, but it was soon overtaken by the geraniums. Geranium is so theraputic! It's refreshingly herbal. I so love this bath oil! It's worth every single penny. And I so needed this, so I'm so glad that it came today and that the mail came early so that I didn't have to wait to use it. I would love love love for this to be sold as the perfume sometime, or as a massage oil as well, or as a solid perfume. It would be great to have this in solid to put on my pulse points as treatment for headache or nausea.

    MVJBA: Pancake Breakfast

It does smell like maple syrup, but with some Sugar Skull and the currants (I know it's boysenberry syrup but to me it smells like currant candies) from Crumpet Rebellion and Sticky Pillowcase. I must be a weirdo because I think I would have rather had a butter/maple centered perfume. Maybe it's just that the boysenberry amps on me? Anyone who has always coveted Cumpet Rebellion should be aware that this is similar. It only lacks the marmalade note to be the same, IMO. All in all, Pancake Breakfast is a great concept and a lot of fun. Have you seen the label art? It's very cute.

The Bow & Crown of Conquest

In the vial: woods and lavendar Wet: leather, and I think I can detect the carnation now, but it is subtle underneath the leather and lavendar. Drydown: The woods are back, and they smell great with the leather and the lavendar. The carnation is now merely the background that blends the rest of it together. It smells civilized but forceful. How appropriate!
  23. mooncityminx

    Kumari Kandam

In the vial: Soap! Wet: the soap is now joined by something floral and some other cool scent like kelp or something. Very aquatic. Drydown: This strikes me as a very clean masculine fragrance. To me it is very cologne-y. This is strong.
  24. mooncityminx

    Mania

In the vial: strawberry and earthy incense Wet: strawberry and mildew, sometimes there is a bpal "dirt" note that smells just like mildew to me. Other fragrances that have the mildew dirt note are Penny Dreadful and Zombi. Drydown: The mildew note gets stronger, but the strawberry is still there. This is like Hollywood Babylon, but I like HB better. A lot of people seem to love this dirt note, but I'm not one of them. Too bad for me, because I love the strawberry.

    Manhattan

Sexuality, power, confidence. A meeting of modern, sleek elegance and rich, passionate history: sheer amber, black leather, white mint, lemon peel, white tea, grapefruit, kush, teakwood and orchid. In the vial: fruit punch with lemons Wet: Lemon candy, something powdery, some kind of clean floral Drydown: sweet lemon floral. The floral is subtle enough. This is reminding me of Vampire Tears but with a more subtle lemon, and more floral. This still maintains a slight fruit punch feeling. This would make a nice feminine summer fragrance, like flowers, candy and lemonade.
