Thank you Astrid for this...I love it!
wet :fresh and astringent like fresh cut up lemons with a bit of wet nap in the back.
dryer: reminds me of lemon heads candy
dry: the bitterness of the rind comes out in the end. it's still very lemony and fresh and there's an aquatic note in the background. it's lovely really. Very light and nice.
it's like a bottle of sunshine

One of my coworkers refuses to belive I'm wearing anything other than Shalimar when I have Snake Oil on.

OMG!!! Vixen is Karma!!! *dies with delight*

Scherezade definitely has patchouli in it. It's odd because every other BPAL blend with patchouli in it hasn't worked for me. But Scherezade is totally wonderful!ETA: Vixen is also quite a potent patchouli scent, as others have suggested.
It's wierd, I can't remember why I swapped my bottle of scherezade to begin with...i loved it. So I think I may reorder a bottle of that while it's still spring and i can get away with florals. Vixen I'm curious about. Very curious about. Worst case senerio I can always swap her out.

I'm looking to do warm weather scents. I loathe wearing florals when it's hot out, they give me a giant throbbing migraine. I HATE (and I cannot stress that enough) Patchouli. However I do like Snake Oil.
This is my next order so far...
Vixen
Old Morracco
Scherezade
Would you caution or suggest any others?

Mine are Alice, Black Dahlia, Pele and now Dorian. They scream spring to me...

Just to add, I got a paypal response from the lab for my 2/17 order but not my 2/22, 2/24, but I did get one yesterday for my 3/15, So I guess it just depends.
I'm sure it will come through no problem.

That padded jobby is awsome. Me thinks I'll have to have one of those when I head off to Nova Scotia this autum.
-
I think I would add scherezade to that list too...

My wedding is in October too and I still haven't figured out which scent I'd like to wear. Velvet and Jack are two of my favorite comfort scents but I'm not sure if they match the occasion. (It also sounds like we have similar gown ideas - mine is somewhat Art Deco inspired). If you're looking for a soft floral you might want to try Dragon's Bone, Belle Epoque, or Eos. White Rabbit or Sudha Segara might be good too.oh I love Sudah Segrah, it's on my list of 5mls to buy...I just need to save the personal saviongs to do that order sine everything I have is being socked away for living expeses.

my wedding is in october. florals are very comforting to me. and i love pele too...i am wearing white...but not a big froofy gown, thing 1930's and 40's, a silouette gown. and we're doing it in a catholic church. *squee*

I have no idea what to wear to my wedding, i'm seriously considering Black Dahlia, but then again, I don't know. What are you wearing to your wedding? What are your rec's?

Interesting. It seemed alot like March Hare when it went on. All sweet and fruity and creamy.
after the dry down I got a bit of the honey and pepper and cream. Sadly about fifteen minutes later this had been eaten by my skin.

Mine loves Vicomte Valmont...and it's down right killer on him. I know others love Villian...but vote is definately VV.

I got my 5ml today...oh how lovely...
wet: sweet, and flowery. It's perfumey without being nauseating...it has some powdery parts, but all in all it's very nice.
dry: it turns into a lush store. It's a dead ringer for B Never's Keep it Fluffy. That smell that lingers on your clothes after you leave a lush store...it's glorious!

I have had no luck making my own stuff with the exception of soap...so I much prefer to buy the stuff...besides...i love philosophy's products...and the three in ones are excellent for dry skin.

I recieved this last night. Oh and am I glad I did.
I tore open the box and grabbed at it and went to put a little on my wrist and well..it just poured out of the reducer. So it was an accidental slathering.
Well, I can smell the lavender...most definately and lillies, jasmine?
it's lovely and it really does relax you like a pain killer does. Michael and I immediately started to doze...but sadly we had to go out, I will be putting dabs of this on my pillow cases tonight.

What did you think of the EggNog shampoo and shower stuff...I was thinking of picking some up while in Georgetown this Saturday...Mmmm how I love the Nog.
-
I agree with Snake Oil....it's womanly, confident and just upright powerful.
-
I was so sad to see this go, but Alice has been bumped up, it's not as mysterious and I;m looking for something a little darker...
what did you all do
-
CCNow does work, infact that's all I used up until this time. You just click on the 5ml bottle things below the description. It's such an easy way of doing things...

Wicked was all jasmine to me....probably one of the reasons I both loved and hated that scent.
But if you love Jasmine that much, go and get some.

I was really concerned when fresh from the bottle it was so over poweringly fruity. But I put it on anyway.
Wet..ugh still fruit. overly ripe fruit at that.
Dryer...oh look flowers and palm are poking through.
Dry, this is gorgeous. All of the flowers come up and beat the fruit into a bloody pulp while the palm tempers the sweetness and makes it the perfect summertime, spring and fall floral...
10ml a must!
