  1. This surprised me initially how spicy it was when wet. Very warm pumpkin, almost pumpkin pie like. I was initially disappointed because I didn't get that gooey sweetness, but about an hour into it oh boy. Very marshmallow and very light, almost no throw at all. But that's ok because when I huff my arm it's enjoyable.

  2. In bottle: COFFEE. That's all I get from it- an almost headache inducing, knock you over COFFEE smell.

Wet: I amp the espresso hardcore so I get nothing else.

Dry: Ah there's the pumpkin, along with the vanilla, milk and spices. They only slightly mellow the coffee, which went from being amped to x10 on me to about a x7.

Overall: It's nice, but I'm ambivalent right now because I amp the espresso so bad, it comes and goes in really strong waves. I may have to set this one aside for a bit to let it age.

EDIT: After not touching this for three months, I went back to this last night with a bit of trepidation. The verdict? It smells completely different and in a great way. Its still strong coffee in the bottle, but now when I put it on it morphs immediately to this sugared vanilla cream. About an hour after dry down this sweet coffee note comes out and blends with the sweet notes making this a great pick me up blend.

I'm glad I hung onto it.

  3. Beaver Moon

I'm amazed at how awesome this scent is and how after it dries down how similar it was, for me, to Cake Smash. The only difference is Cake Smash gave me a bit of spice where this one gives me all cupcakes and cream cheese frosting.

The temptation to eat my wrist is strong.

  4. I'm unsure as the year, but it's a cobalt bottle so I'm thinking its original Spooky.

This is total mint chocolate on me with a splash of vanilla when wet. And drying to a chocolate mint with rum. It's pleasant and sweet and slightly comforting.

  5. I was almost disappointed with this. I get a real strong LEATHER OMG when this is wet, nothing else comes through at all. Thankfully it dries down quickly and goes slightly powdery, which isn't all that unpleasant really. It goes slightly sweet a little later, but its still powdery leather.

May have to let this one sit and age a bit.

  6. Oh yum! In the bottle it's apples, apples, apples. Wet the apples fade significantly and out comes this magnificent spiciness. Wet the apple comes back to the front a bit, but the cider is still really strong. There's a small hint of fruit just at the back.

    Delicious!

  7. I admit I was a little worried about this one with so many people saying it turned soapy. I'm happy that I went with instinct on this one. In the bottle its overwhelmingly violet. Wet it cools down considerably and the violet moves back. Dry it becomes icy violets, very fresh and clean and really cooling. Perfect for those melting summer days.

  8. Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting against a backdrop of Snake Oil, Dorian, and Doc Constantine!

An evil enabler sent me a tester of this. Oh god, what have you done to me? This is red velvety cake sweetness with a splash of spice. This is one for the bottle hunt for sure.

  9. In the bottle I get a lot of smoke with a hint of snow. Wet on the skin it's pure smoke, nothing else coming through. Dry the smoke fades significantly and the bloody mints come through nicely. This is really complex and if I can get through the initial OMG SMOKE stage it turns in to something really lovely.

Trying this again tonight and it went straight to a really cold mint. It smells completely ice cold and almost sends a shiver down my spine. Delicious!

  10. I took a chance on this one because normally rose smells god awful on me. I was gladly surprised! It smells really wonderful and reminds me exactly of how my grandma smells. It's a pleasant thing to wear and have a reminder of her with me always.

  11. Bottle: Mmm this is warm and buttery. Each time I sniff it I get a new note coming out, but that buttery richness is still there.

Wet: Carmel spiced pumpkin. Still very buttery, but that sweetness is coming out.

Dry: An amazing spiced pumpkin drizzled with caramel and creme. This has aged really well I am quite happy that I took a chance on it and got a bottle!

  12. In the bottle I got a golden musky scent. On me, however, it turns into a slight berry scented soap. This isn't a terrible thing mind you because it smells pretty close to a soap I used to use down at my grandma's. Kind of a nice reminder.

So verdict is still out on this one just yet. I'll stick it away for a couple of months and see what happens.

  13. CT II: CCCXC

Previous owner described it as a very pumpkin scent, but I get mostly a fresh lemon scent, very nice on a breezy spring day.

    CT II: CCXIX

Mint mint and more mint! Really reminds me of a pack of Wrigley's spearmint gum. It dries down really nice and a small hint of spice comes out, but the mint really stays forward on me. I like it.

  14. In the decant: Dandelion! It's a very green smell with no hint of strawberry.

Wet: Still very green with a hint of strawberry. Not sure if I like this.

Dry: Oh there you are strawberry. This dries down to a sugary strawberry with a slight vanilla background.

I think I like this, at least I'll give it a couple more tries before I decide anyway. Thankfully the green notes fade pretty quick on me because it's not pleasant.

  15. I recently received a decant of Samhain '05 from a kind soul.

Imp: OMG this is so spicy and sweet.

Wet: Really sweet with a hint of smoky spiceness.

Dry: The allspice and pumpkin really come out on me here, with a backdrop of the apple and patchuli.

Overall I really like this. A great scent to break out on those first cooling days.

  16. Imp: Very fruity. I love it in the imp and was excited to try it.

Wet: Baby powder, this is pure baby powder on me.

Dry: Still baby powder and a strong baby powder at that. I so wanted to love this, but I just don't think it's for me.
