It's a great thing that only one person who has ever won the #iastrawpolls has actually won the presidency. Good thing since crazypants won.

Horrid stay at @TheBestWestern in Dubuque. Unamused by being told that I had the room until 5 at check in and my sister getting kicked at 1p

To my coworker who brought these delicious banana-craisin-pecan muffins and put a sign saying "happy monday!" next to the coffee? I love you

This pineapple + yogurt is too sweet. Probably has added sugar, it's not normally this sweet. Curse you food services!

Due to the volume of administrative PMs I am still getting, I have temporarily disabled PMs. If you need to contact an administrator, please contact Morrig. Thanks!

Anyone with good entry-level resources for data mining, expert systems, and the like? Books, articles, websites, whatever. (I know a few of you work with such things regularly.) It's for a little project of mine.

I accidentally made confit out of the prime rib remnant Mom asked me to use while she was gone -- it was super super fatty on the inside, and my low slow cooking followed by a quick sear at the end had it simmering in its own fat most of the evening. The texture was similar to pot roast, and it was one of the best pieces of meat I have ever eaten.

Feel free to poke me with Matlab questions - I do quite a bit of large dataset manipulation.
