  1. Yessss! This one is amazing. I get lots of sugary, floofy, fruit-punch flavored cotton candy (and now this is something that I desperately want to try in real life) and warm, perfect popcorn with a tiny kick of salt. The popcorn becomes more prominent with wear. I’m sure that the day that inspired this blend was the happiest day!

  2. Oh this is gorgeous. It’s like the nighttime counterpart to A Little Piece of Eternity, which I also love. I get rain-soaked osmanthus and dark plum. The rain note is warm, and not sharp, the osmanthus is perfectly heady without going funky, and the plum provides a nice deep pop of darkness. This does evoke nighttime in the Quarter to me, and is one of my very favorite scents from this update.

  3. Surprisingly, this one is a little perfumey to my nose. I think it’s the combination of the paper and cotton with my skin chemistry. The lavender, to my nose, is of the floral and softly sharp variety. This is a bookish blend, but it’s an elegant one that could be worn to something fancy, not a snuggly one to curl up and read with.

  4. I avoid benzoin because it usually smells like sharp chemicals on my skin, but this one so far is benzoin-less to my nose. I get lots of heady, waxy ylang ylang and the most beautiful pink woody chypre. Everything is wrapped in a beautiful, soft, pink vanilla cloud.

  5. This is a very pretty musk! In the bottle and when first applied I get a lot of red musk, but once on skin it blends fairly evenly with the skin musk. The effect to my nose is almost of an Egyptian musk. The pop of pink peppercorn (it’s definitely pink, and not super pepper-y, just gives the scent a little kick) meshes nicely with the sweet, clean orange blossom. There’s a grounding base of dry sandalwood holding everything together.

  6. I could swear that I smell a good bit of oudh here—but it is of the rich, smooth variety and definitely not of the stanky sort. Honestly, this doesn’t smell like any of the listed notes to me at all, and I’m totally ok with that. It smells like the smoothest, most beautiful, hazy oudh ever, and I’m loving it!

  7. This is a pretty and clean pink scent. It does smell like it’s gleaming/sparkling a bit. I agree with feyofthefellwood in that it smells clarifying. The rose, white musk, and saffron read a bit lemony to my nose. It does soften and mellow a bit with wear.

  8. Strawberry ice cream, just as described! The strawberry is ripe and bright pink, and is mixed beautifully into the sweet, creamy ice cream. I’m pretty sure that this is the best strawberry ice cream blend that I’ve come across—it evokes happy childhood memories for me.

  9. Ooh lots of sugar-sweetened fragrant, spicy cardamom! I get a hint of floofy cake in the background, but this is definitely a cardamom-forward blend. The cardamom tames a bit with wear and allows more of the marshmallow floof and cake to come through. It’s a warm and comforting gourmand blend that hugs the skin.

  10. This is a lovely and smooth sweet almond blend. It almost smells like baklava or like a similar honeyed nut-based pastry, but the bit of myrrh and soft cinnamon elevate the scent and prevent it from being strictly gourmand. With wear the almond recedes a bit and the blend is more honey-forward. This honey is the good stuff that the Lab’s been using lately (like in Elegant Vulvas). It doesn’t skew funky or overly sweet in my skin—it’s natural and sticky and golden and wonderful.

  11. This reminds me a lot of Sky City: Before—fresh, breezy, spring-green grass and a hint of dandelion fluff. I get a whiff of tart, green apple when first applied, but it quickly mellows into more of an apple cider (like cold, crisp, hard cider from a bottle). A refreshing and zingy green blend.

  12. Wow, this smells exactly like a freshly baked loaf of rye bread with caraway. It’s making me hungry for some good bread! I don’t get a ton of butter, but there is a light, salty buttery sheen that comes through with wear. A surprisingly wearable and interesting savory scent!

  13. I was really looking forward to trying this one, and it does not disappoint. It’s a beautiful, interesting, and unique blend. It does smell like potter’s clay to my nose, but potter’s clay that’s being worked by someone who smells amazing and who works in the most beautifully curated studio. The sandalwood is dry and fragrant, and I get maybe a tiny snap of green that may be the tulsi. This would be a great blend for meditation and frazzled nerves. With time the sandalwood takes over and there are no complaints here—it’s so gorgeous and smooth.

  14. This is very, very pretty. Gourmand, but not overly sweet. I get a lot of cookie, and it smells like warm snickerdoodles (flavored softly with cinnamon sugar, not spicy or overwhelming cinnamon) fresh from the oven. The leather comes through a bit with wear, and it’s a really nice smooth subtle base for the cookies. This leather is not sharp, it’s well-worn and soft and snuggly. Interlude is a very comforting and warm blend. ❤️

  15. Aw man—this is a super fun chypre! I love Peach Chypre and was excited to try this one—it’s ripe, slightly syrupy cherry (like a maraschino cherry) over a gorgeous chypre. With time I get a little tartness, more like a fresh, ripe cherry than a maraschino cherry.
