  1. Almonds and cinnamon - the almond/marzipan note plus the heat of the cinnamon make me think that this is what molten lava might smell like. :P Delicious. It does burn my skin a bit, but if I dilute it with a bit of carrier oil it is just fine. I like this a lot, but I don't think I'll want to smell like this all that often, so to the swaps it goes.

  2. This is a bitter, soft wood at first, but it dries down in to an almost-honey sweet scent; very smooth with a grounding of fig and just the right touch of wood and cocoa. I'm wearing this on a first date tonight because it's so elegant in a very sexy, understated Sri Lanka sort of way. Thanks for the frimp, labbies! I love it.

  3. Black Lace is a truly surprise love for me. ALL of the notes are on my mental gross to iffy lists, and yet somehow it is awesome. The vanilla is light and the smoky incense and tobacco give it a vintage feel instead of a burnt barbecue one - the cognac is delightful and sophisticated and is a minor miracle in and of itself (no headache!). The cream doesn't smell like ick.

It smells, in fact, AMAZING. This is my dress up scent. Womanly and achingly sophisticated with a bluestocking, pipe-smoking petticoat underneath.

  4. This is a lovely, unique mix of verbena and almond on me. I was really into it, but as it dries down something smells funny on me - I think my skin is doing odd things and it smells like it's clashing. I think it might be the thyme and the bergamot together. My skin is throwing Calliope out of whack.

  5. Well, I am soon about to place my first order, which includes a bottle of Dorian, and imps of every kind that involve food of some sort! I was curious, is there any scent that smells like thin mints? Like just mint and chocolate? Every smell I've found that could potentially be so has florals, and florals tend to skip straight to the rotting stage on me. Have you tried any scents that bring this particular sweetie to mind?

Tokyo Stomp is dead on for that scent. It's an LE but I'm sure you can find some in the Swaps/Sales threads or on eBay.

In the GC, of what I've tried I'd recommend Penthus for mintyness, and maybe layer it with something chocolatey like Bliss.

  6. imp/wet: eee, leaves! Wet, murky, forest floor.

Also, lily generally hates me. I am afraid...

It does brighten up as it dries, and becomes sort of a grassy, lightly floral scent. Pretty, but still somehow a little ominous...the cedar and musk are threatening to carry everything away. I will have to try this one some more.
