  1. I get the buttery rum and pumpkin from first sniff in the bottle but on my skin it turns into a more gourmand fragrance, just not straight foody. I do get a soft floral note but not enough to be an instant 'no' for me as I hate anything floral. Definitely an interesting scent.

  2. Wanted to love this. Read the scent description and felt that Beth designed this just for me! Picked up a bottle at C2E2. Sniffed it and it did smell a little sweeter than I liked but didn't skin test it til I got home. It basically turned into burnt sugar on my skin, I had to wash it off. *sad panda* Stupid skin chemistry!

  3. I wanted to try this as I wanted something to help me sleep. I originally tried the massage oil and thought I smelled a base scent so bought the actual oil and it smells identical so not the base!

I do smell mostly lavender but no vanilla, mostly a patchouli/incensey type of scent. I have a TKO proto I prefer more as it's sweeter to me but this stuff is still nice. I wear it when I can't fall asleep and while I'm not sure if it really helps, I like to think it does.

  4. I was really excited about this one as it's a unique foody scent. I don't smell any tea or cake in the sweet sense but didn't really expect that. To my nose, it's definitely a cucumber sandwich. I wish it would have been less cucumber and more bread/sandwich but still VERY unique and am glad I was able to snag a bottle!

  5. In the bottle, it's pure blueberry goodness. On my skin, it has the initial Blue Fire blueberry but with less of the gin and as it mellows out, it becomes a little musky, similar to what many of BPAL scents smell like to me. It's almost like a hint of Snake Oil in there mixed with blueberry.

I would love for the foody goodness to be there but this is still very nice. Just wish it lasted longer on my wrist.

  6. I was so excited to try this blend as I wanted to see how it compared to Bathed and Infused's Garden Salad and Six Feet Under.

Turns out, it's both of the above scents combined. I can smell the vegetables that I smelled in Garden Salad and the dirt of Six Feet Under.

I had hoped for more dirt but it's a crisp and fresh blend. Not a 'me' scent but done very well.

  7. Strawberry is very hard for me. It tends to smell very 'green' and then turn kind of metallic. Very few places have strawberry that works for me so I generally stay away from them but had to try this one out.

This strawberry is almost identical to the strawberry that Isle of Eden uses, which is the repeat offender in my strawberry issues. As soon as it hit my skin, I knew it wouldn't work.

Went green, then metallic and then I washed it off. *sigh*

  8. Apple is not a good scent for me. Every scent tends to go potpourrish on me and this was another one of them. I amp the apple big time and it's not a good scent for me to amp. Seems we amp the scents we like the least!

Apple lovers will love this. It's apples with a touch of vanilla and a bit of floral which I assume is the sweet pea.

  9. I am not a floral fan by any means, violet included but wanted to give this one a whirl and it's actually pretty nice. The white chocolate really foods up the violet, making it wearable for me. It reminds me of Isle of Eden's A Violet's Dream Come True, which again, not a 'me' scent but not bad at all.

I would never wear this normally but it's really nice and I know you violet lovers will like it.

  10. Had high hopes for this one. It smelled great in the bottle, dark chocolate and cherries, just like the namesake but on my skin, it turns yeasty.

I would have never guessed it was supposed to be cherry and chocolate. I honestly had to try and remember which one I put on when I sniffed it as it morphed into something completely different.

  11. I REALLY like this one. It's creamy eggnog with latte, just like the namesake but it's not overly latte-ish, which some latte/coffee scents can be. What I DON'T like about is it lasts all of 2 seconds. I put some on before I went to Christmas Eve mass and when I came back, I could barely smell it on my wrists. :P

The same thing happened with Eggnog from last year, too. Love it but not strong enough.

If this was a Yule blend, I'd buy several bottles and try the ol scent in the hair trick.

  12. I was excited to try this as it sounded very foody. It smells like pineapple upside down cake with a side of mashed potatoes. I know, that sounds weird but it really had a non-desserty note to it. I sent it to a friend to see what she thought and she really liked it. I would try it again, it's very nice, I just don't keep things that I'm not IN LOVE with. For pineapple upside down cake with a side of mashed potatoes, it really wasn't bad at all!

  13. Three white cakes, vanilla, and red and black currants.

This is one of my first favorites from the lab. I have had trouble finding foody scents but someone frimped me Eat Me and I really love it. I don't smell as much cake, mostly berry, something a little sharp, which I think may be the currants but this is one of my favorite scents. Adding more cake would be wonderful but overall, it's very nice.
