  1. A lighthearted winter scent: chilly vanilla rose snowballs! Dainty, soft, and certainly unfit for flinging!

Pink Snowballs started out Snow White, with a hint of vanilla, and stayed that way for a while. After about two hours, I smelled it and snow white had wandered away, leaving the vanilla left with a single rose and a hint of her perfume. Rather soft, and pretty.

  2. JOULUMUORI
Old Lady Christmas, the sweet, smiling wife of Finland's Joulupukki. Her scent invokes the comforts of Christmastime and the warmth of love and cheerful companionship: a glowing hearth, luumukiisseli, riisipuuro, and sima.

Ok, so luumukiisseli, riisipuuro, and sima translate to prune soup, rice pudding, and mead. I had to try it.

It was so nice!!! Very warm and foody and boozy. It's just starting to fade on my skin, and I put it on 4 and a half hours ago, so it's got a decent longevity. It's kinda what would happen if Hellcat came over for christmas dinner, got drunk on mead, and passed out in the rice pudding. I will be getting some of this, most definetly.

Oh, and I have no idea what happened to the prune soup.

  3. Every kid wants a pet magah bird! A prism of scent, an explosion of multi-colored feathers: blood orange, black plum, sugar cane, guava, frangipani, coconut, pimento berry, violet, caramel, and pear.

This smelled good at the lab, so I dabbed a little bit on.

I sniffed it a little bit later and was like........whoa.....sugar overload, not quite sugar of death, but a little close to it, so I was like...oh well, probably not for me.

Then I sniffed it again after a few hours, and it's very ........ dusty sugar fruit. HUH? I think this one is a morpher. Little birdy likes running all over your skin chemistry and doing unexpected things. I will definitely need to try this again, and pay attention to how it morphs.

  4. I put this on at the lab, and I kept sniffing this going...........this is really nice.....but I can barely smell it. I think that this is one of those ones that needs to get thrown back in back of under my sink along with Egg Nogg Latte to let it age.

It's really nice though....... I think I might have to spring for a bottle of it, this has so much promise aged!

  5. The first scent in the Bean Birthday update was created by her Uncle Brian…

I made this scent to commemorate the first time I played hooky with the Little Bean. I took her to the Long Beach Aquarium, where she battled a giant crab with her bare chubby fists. Needless to say, my niece was victorious. Deadliest Catch ain't got nothin' on her!

Tangerine cream, benzoin, white sandalwood, white pear, tonka, and ambergris accord.

I wasn't expecting this to be anything special to my nose, but I sniffed it at the lab and thought.......something in here smells kinda nice, lets give it a shot.

It's one of those scents where the notes blend together, and you're left with something that smells really good, but you can't place any of it. I had this on my hands, marked, along with 11 other scents, so I was going between sniffing this, and Sachs, and a bunch of weenies, and Jack, and a few others, and every time I sniffed it, it was still there, and it was still smelling nice.

It's been on for about 4 hours now, and it's kinda creamy, with something a little leathery and smoky underneith. I think I might have to find a decant of this, I don't like it enough to warrant a bottle, but it's definetly on the, this is nice vein.

RE-TRY - I tried it again .............and this time, it had a dry-down of Dr. Pepper. O.o

  6. I would say that the backdrop of Dorian, Snake Oil, and Doc Constantine take more of a front seat with this one. I spent a good part of this evening trying to find the red velvet cake with the cream cheese frosting, and I kept getting a Dorian/SnakeOil/DocConstantine blend, with a lift of a little bit of cake as I pulled my nose away. It's not terrible, it's a bit nice, but it wasn't what I was expecting, and that was cake. :(

  7. This one was one of those, here, then gone, here, then gone again scents.

It started out very vanilla, then as i'm sniffing at will call, dang it, it faded. Then like, 30 minutes later, wait, it's back! Then.........gone. Then, BACK. I thought it had finally faded when suddenly i'm smelling straight up vanilla ice cream. It doesn't have the throw or staying power to really warrant me getting any of it though.

  8. Liz started as a vanilla leather, and then over the course of the next several hours, went total leather, then vanilla, then back to leather, back to vanilla. She's a morpher, this one.

  9. This smelled really yummy in the bottle, so I popped it on my wrist at will call.

Wet, it's really a spicy apple, then the milk starts coming in and smoothing it. As it keeps coming in, the spices start fading, and it gets creamier as it dries.

After about two hours, it settles into a creamy apple with a hint of spice.

  10. So, I just got an imp of this for swapping purposes, licorice and sassafrass don't tend to be in my favorites, but hey, it's here, everyone was clamoring for it last year, lets give it a whirl.

I put this on, went to a friends house, and an hour later i'm smelling my wrists going.......mmm........ crap.........this is really nice..... it's like a happy vanilla party and licorice is hanging out in the backyard, the licorice is REALLY subtle, but in a hey, i'm still here kinda way. And it LASTS. It's 10 in the morning and it's still hanging in there. Dang this has staying power. :thud:

    Not swapping this anymore. ^_^

  11. This one is one of those where on your skin, you're like....yuck, but the throw is AMAZING.

In the decant, it's pretty sugary sweet.

Wet, sugar, sugar, and more sugar

Drydown, EWWWWW.............a glue note. Ok, i'll give it a little time, maybe the glue note will go away. And i'm cleaning up in the kitchen, and suddenly i'm sniffing the air and going.......WHAT IS THAT AMAZING SMELL!!! And I smiffed my hand, glue, sniffed the air........ it smells like i'm in a candy shop at the circus!

WTF!!! Ugh. Uncertain whether or not I will keep this one....... it's a conundrum!!

  12. I was a little hesistant to try this at first, but then i'm like, the grease note form Velvet clown worked wonders, so let's check this out.

AND AM I GLAD I DID!

This is one of those that smells the same in the imp, wet, and when it dries on your skin. A sugary pie with enough banana to go.....mmmm....banana, but not enough banana to make you go...eww banana. It's really sugary and amazing, and it lasts for like.....6 hours on my skin. I don't know what it is with me and clown scents, but we work. ^_^

  13. A friend picked this up for me from Comic Con and I was like........SQUEEE.

In the bottle......vaugely cupcake like, with other stuff in the bottle that my nose can't quite smell.

Wet..... Ok.... i'm getting a little icing from this..but theres an overlay of something kinda maybe woodsy and sawdusty?

Drydown... Chocolate icing, maybe a hint of cake, and more of that scent that my nose is declaring woody sawdust.

I was hoping for cupcake explosion from the heavens, but I guess that's not happening.

  14. Bah! turns into a creamy mocha on me, really nice, and the cream note lasts forever!

I do see what others are reffering to as the burnt coffee note, as it's drying down it turns burning coffee for about 5 minutes, then transforms into lovely wonderful goodness. Yeah.......I have Cupcake Splatter Pattern Analysis.......... and I think i'm getting me a bottle of this.

  15. Really awesome person gave me a half bottle, squee!!

In the bottle, kinda cold..... maybe a little soap, ugh.....this is feeling the way of F5 right now. But, maybe it will be awesome cooling soap!

    Yup. Soap. Just soap. *sigh*

  16. I was looking for another refreshing summer scent to wear, so I got a decant of this.

In the imp, I wasn't really sure, it kinda smelled soapy, but I gave it a try!

......................Yeah........... soap. Maybe a little seas pray in there, but, still soap.

In the swap pile it goes.

  17. This was one of my, it will be awesome but i'll never get it scents that I actually got a decant of!!

    And it smells delicious!!

And on me................................. powdered sugar note of death. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Powdery sugar death.........why must you do this!!! :cry2:

  18. OMG.

When I sniffed this in the decant, i'm like.....oh no. THE POWDERED SUGAR DEATH NOTE.The sugar note Beth uses to make marshmellow. It turns into this powdered sugar note of death for me. Marshmellow Poof, Beaver Moon 07, Snow Angel 08, Underpants, all turned powdered sugar of death.

Well, today I got Pink Flamingo, and immediately, I smelled that note. And I thought, well, i'll just try it. And there was the powdered sugar note of death. So I sat for an hour doing some other stuff, and sniffed it again. Powdered sugar.....but with an undertone of.....what is that........ TOASTED MARSHMELLOW YUM. OMG. WOW. I HAVE OVERCOME THE NOTE OF DEATH!

  19. Last year I was chatting with one of the labbies about the yules, and she was telling me she was surprised that Winter of our discontent wasn't a giant hit, because she dabbed a bit on herself and all day was going, "mmmmm" what is that fantastic scent?

Well, that is me and Velvet clown. I put a little on myself, and then settled to watch TV with my mom. Suddenly, i'm like, what is that wonderful smell? And I realize, it's me!!! I'm getting something that's like boozy marshmallow caramel with maybe a hint of smokiness, which only makes it more delicious.

    Must.........get .........more...........

  20. A "warrior worth a thousand, ready to confront a demon or a god, mounted or on foot." Tomoe Gozen was a fierce, noble, and courageous samurai, first captain, as well as a renowned beauty. She was an excellent swordswoman, famed for her riding ability and her skill at archery. She fought for Minamoto no Yoshinaka at Battle of Awazu, and her forces were defeated. Legend says she was seen holding the severed head of one of her foes on the battlefield, and vanished, never to be seen again.

Red currant, golden amber, blackberry, honey, and pink pepper.

They had these out at will call *dances* Tomoe Gozen was the only one that my nose liked, as they didn't have Fau Mulan out. I was a little worried about the golden amber note, since Gelt gave me a horrible headache, but thankfully, no headache zone!

In the bottle, this smelled really really pretty. And it was definetly asian, but not like earth ox or fire pig.

On my skin, swoon pretty. It smelled so nice!! I can't really tell that one note took command, they all blended together. Now, this was around 4 that I put it on. Then I went to dinner with my parents, and afterwards went to a friends for poker. As I got to his house around 8, I was sniffing my hand and thinking, this is like Thalia, but softer. It's got the same regal pretty vibe to it, but it's a little different.

And now it's 11 at night and i'm still sniffing it, this lady has STAYING power! WHOOHOO!!!

You know, I put on Lovers in a rice field today, and wet, it's really like Tomoe Gozen, but Tomoe is more fruity. I think my original thought of Thalia is correct, take Thalia and Lovers in a ricefield and you have Tomoe Gozen.

  21. So, Coyote didn't work on me, but I have enabled a friend with it. See, this guy, his name is Wolfe, and he's a coyote furry. And he's one of those who has a sensitive nose and when I opened scents in his presence his nose gets unhappy.

Not this one. I open it, he keeps his distance, and suddenly he cautiosly leans in, takes a long whiff, and says in almost disbelief "Thats.........nice......"

I want to thank the reviewers who told me it was furry sex in a bottle!

  22. Gelt

I had hoped that the chocolate would balance out the golden amber, which sometimes gives me a headache. No chance of that here. Headache central.

WHY is it all the jewish scents don't work for me? WHY!

  23. I tried this on at the lab, and it was nice, so I got a decant of it. It was really light on my skin, so I thought i'd give it some time to age. Not so sure if that was a good idea.

The almond and orange are having a hard time deciding if they like me, I keep sniffing, and I get a whiff of soap, but then it smells good, whiff of soap, good. I think this might just be one I have to swap out, cause it's not being happy with me.
