  1. HISPANIOLA
    Brilliant in thy grand hemisphere
The marshaled host of Heaven appear,
Whence evening’s star, unclouded and serene,
    Emits afar her sparkling rays
Where e’er the nightly traveller strays,
And on his pathway sheds her silvery sheen.

Though silent when all creatures shun
The fierce blaze of the mid-day sun,
    Myriads of insects walk abroad at night;
And when cool dews from Heaven descend,
The air with gladsome voices rend,
And hail the star-bright beams of milder light.

Bay rum, coconut, wild olive, avocado, bitterwood, sugar cane syrup, muskwood, Creolean pine, lime rind, cacao, and West Indian cedar.

Um. Wow. So, I just spritzed it on some clothes to see what it was like.........and O.M.G. It's rather......... sea salty and sugar and rum...............*blink blink* .................*swoon* I usually go for the foody stuff, but I need to find me a man to put this on. So many of Jack Sparrows escapades could be explained if he smelled like this.

The only bad part about it is the clothes I spritzed it on are my fuzzy hot pink sleeping pants, that are covered in smiling polar bears wearing pink and purple bows.

  2. I was initially thinking this was going to be like a softer version of Gingerbread Poppet......and completely different end of the spectrum. This was ginger ale, reminding me a lot of last years Playing with a loaded gun. Though, there was a nice difference between them, while Playing with a loaded gun did it's ginger ale dance and then disappeared, Mother Ginger has like a soft warm afterglow that hangs around on your skin for a couple hours after the ginger ale fades.

  3. THE ARABIAN DANCE
Leather, coffee, hazelnut, tobacco, and Middle Eastern spices.

I was looking at this and going...omg.... leather, coffee, hazelnut.....TOBACCO!! NO!!! Cause I amp tobacco in a horrible way......but I decided to gird my loins and try it.

In the words of one of the fellow will call goers "You smell like sex."

  4. One of the best ways to figure out your chemistry is to get a bunch of scents that have slightly similar notes. Pay attention to what they smell like on your skin. Certain notes will never show up on your skin, and others, will overpower all the others. To give an example, I recently figured out that I amp pear. I figured this out when I tried Ginger Skulls, which is ginger, quince, and pear. I kept smelling it, and I didn't have much if any ginger, which is a note I know works on me. Rather, it smelled a lot like Thalia, a GC that I had an imp of, which is Plumeria, pear and white champagne. Thus, they smell extremely similar, because of one note.

I also amp tobacco, but in a way I don't like, so I have to avoid anything with tobacco in it. You're going to have a lot of trial and error before you figure out what works on your skin, and what doesn't.

  5. MR. FEZZIWIG'S BALL
“Yo ho, my boys!” said Fezziwig. “No more work to-night. Christmas Eve, Dick. Christmas, Ebenezer! Let’s have the shutters up,” cried old Fezziwig, with a sharp clap of his hands, “before a man can say Jack Robinson!”

You wouldn’t believe how those two fellows went at it! They charged into the street with the shutters—one, two, three—had ’em up in their places—four, five, six—barred ’em and pinned ’em—seven, eight, nine—and came back before you could have got to twelve, panting like race-horses.

“Hilli-ho!” cried old Fezziwig, skipping down from the high desk, with wonderful agility. “Clear away, my lads, and let’s have lots of room here! Hilli-ho, Dick! Chirrup, Ebenezer!”

Clear away! There was nothing they wouldn’t have cleared away, or couldn’t have cleared away, with old Fezziwig looking on. It was done in a minute. Every movable was packed off, as if it were dismissed from public life for evermore; the floor was swept and watered, the lamps were trimmed, fuel was heaped upon the fire; and the warehouse was as snug, and warm, and dry, and bright a ball-room, as you would desire to see upon a winter’s night.

In came a fiddler with a music-book, and went up to the lofty desk, and made an orchestra of it, and tuned like fifty stomach-aches. In came Mrs. Fezziwig, one vast substantial smile. In came the three Miss Fezziwigs, beaming and lovable. In came the six young followers whose hearts they broke. In came all the young men and women employed in the business. In came the housemaid, with her cousin, the baker. In came the cook, with her brother’s particular friend, the milkman. In came the boy from over the way, who was suspected of not having board enough from his master; trying to hide himself behind the girl from next door but one, who was proved to have had her ears pulled by her mistress. In they all came, one after another; some shyly, some boldly, some gracefully, some awkwardly, some pushing, some pulling; in they all came, anyhow and everyhow. Away they all went, twenty couple at once; hands half round and back again the other way; down the middle and up again; round and round in various stages of affectionate grouping; old top couple always turning up in the wrong place; new top couple starting off again, as soon as they got there; all top couples at last, and not a bottom one to help them! When this result was brought about, old Fezziwig, clapping his hands to stop the dance, cried out, “Well done!” and the fiddler plunged his hot face into a pot of porter, especially provided for that purpose. But scorning rest, upon his reappearance, he instantly began again, though there were no dancers yet, as if the other fiddler had been carried home, exhausted, on a shutter, and he were a bran-new man resolved to beat him out of sight, or perish.

There were more dances, and there were forfeits, and more dances, and there was cake, and there was negus, and there was a great piece of Cold Roast, and there was a great piece of Cold Boiled, and there were mince-pies, and plenty of beer. But the great effect of the evening came after the Roast and Boiled, when the fiddler (an artful dog, mind! The sort of man who knew his business better than you or I could have told it him!) struck up “Sir Roger de Coverley.” Then old Fezziwig stood out to dance with Mrs. Fezziwig. Top couple, too; with a good stiff piece of work cut out for them; three or four and twenty pair of partners; people who were not to be trifled with; people who would dance, and had no notion of walking.

But if they had been twice as many—ah, four times—old Fezziwig would have been a match for them, and so would Mrs. Fezziwig. As to her, she was worthy to be his partner in every sense of the term. If that’s not high praise, tell me higher, and I’ll use it. A positive light appeared to issue from Fezziwig’s calves. They shone in every part of the dance like moons. You couldn’t have predicted, at any given time, what would have become of them next. And when old Fezziwig and Mrs. Fezziwig had gone all through the dance; advance and retire, both hands to your partner, bow and curtsey, corkscrew, thread-the-needle, and back again to your place; Fezziwig “cut”—cut so deftly, that he appeared to wink with his legs, and came upon his feet again without a stagger.

Mince pie, dark beer, a well-loved spruce wood fiddle, and bow resin.

I tried this at will call, and it was a very strange party. It started out with kinda a bubbly alcohol scent, and then 30 minutes later, it was gone. And I thought, well, crap, and went on sniffing other things. And then i'm like....why am I smelling ginger on my hand!! And there was a sharp ginger coming from my hand. It stayed for another 30 minutes.....and then it was gone. 15 minutes later, I had bubbly orange. So, be prepared, Mr. Fezziwig is going to have ball on your hand, and you won't know what happens next!

  6. A circular pastry glazed with pink sugar that symbolizes the sweetness of life and the certainty of death.

OMG num. I put this on, and then wandered around, and it was the strongest thing on my arm. Really pink and happy, it sat on my skin for two hours with a strong scent before it started to wane, and then took quite a few more hours to fade. It reminds me a lot of the pink scent from I fell in love with a floating brain, but Golletes is sweeter. Sugar rush, here I come!

  7. Clever little satirical poems in the style of epitaphs written to tease the living and ease grief over a loved one's passing. Xocolatl, tequila, copal incense, smoke-dried jalapeños, vanilla pods, and cajeta.

I was initially afraid this wasn't going to like me, because peppers and me have a bad history, but such a surprise!! It was a strong vanilla, with a bit of pepper underneath. I kept sniffing it going.....wow.....does this seriously work, and it does!!! But the decant circle i'm in is full on this scent......;_; I will have to do some digging to get this!!! I need it!! It's soft, and spicy, and that usually doesn't happen!

  8. Pomegranate, white musk, lemon verbena, grapefruit, pink lime.

This is lovely!!! It's a very sweet fruity citrus. It starts out very blended but as the time passes, the pomegranate becomes more pronounced. I would say it had about a 3 hour lifetime on my skin, which is very reasonable for citrus scents. I highly recommend this....it's pretty.......

  9. What embodies my hair color? Well, i'm one of those people who's brunette, but it's so dark people think it's black. And I wear mostly food scents. ^_^ Though, I do have a liking for leather. One of my favorite combinations is a vanilla leather, a combo of Dorian and Loviatar(Liz doesn't do it as well). Sweet, but with a hint of something dark and sexy.

My friend Josie is a redhead, and she's all about spicy scents.

  10. ROSY MAPLE
Lemon blossom, vanilla bean, huckleberry, sweet pea, rose sugar, acai berry, and candyfloss.

This was really sweet and nice. When I was first sniffing it...... I was thinking to myself.....what does this remind me of? After a bit, it hit me, this kept reminding me of the honeyed peach note in Josie. Even though there isn't honey or peach in it. It has this really ripe fruit note that stayed strong for a long while. Definitely a keeper.

  11. SPICEBUSH SWALLOWTAIL
Brown sugar, sassafras, clove, and wild plum.

This is really nice. It was spicy and sweet and very delicious. I dabbed a bit on me at the lab, and wow..... I would say it lasted for about two hours before the spice faded, but I still had the sweetness underneath. Definitely getting me some of this.

  12. SKYTYPING WITH CHEMTRAILS
    Debilitating
    Biological agents
    Chemtrails are skydoom

Those slashes of white vapor in the sky aren't harmless condensation trails caused by aircraft engine exhaust and wingtip vortices; they are streams of biological agents deliberately dispersed into the atmosphere by government agencies in order to destabilize society by diminishing the physical and mental capacities of the proletariat. The chemicals in these so-called contrails serve multiple purposes that all work to further the agenda of the New World Order: electromagnetic mind control and bio-tracking, low-level population culling, and inducing physical weakness and mental apathy. All these effects move towards the goal of making the world's people malleable and complacent so they will, in the end, prostrate themselves willingly to the One Government.

Incapacitating poofiness: spun sugar, white amber, white musk, citron, and lemongrass masking a sinister, almost chemical undernote of elemi, zdravetz, and ravintsara.

There were two things that struck me as I sniffed this on my skin. #1, This smelled like the same strong lemon that was in my lil decant of Tarot: The star. #2 It smelled exactly like Lush's Sexy Peel lemon soap. It was a very suggary strong lemon, and it took an hour before it even started to fade a lil, so it's good stuff. I want to say the lemon lasted about 2 hours, maybe a little longer. I'm definetly going to get at least a decant of this for when my Star runs out, it's so hard to find long lasting Lemon scents!!

  13. EGG MOON
    One egg's lower half transformed
    And became the earth below,
    And its upper half transmuted
    And became the sky above;
From the yolk the sun was made,
    Light of day to shine upon us;
From the white the moon was formed,
    Light of night to gleam above us;
    All the colored brighter bits
Rose to be the stars of heaven
And the darker crumbs changed into
Clouds and cloudlets in the sky.

The scent of Creation: frankincense, bdellium, sweet cane, cassia, cinnamon, and dammar gum.

This was a creamy cinnamony and cassia blend. Wet and into the first hour I had it on, it smelled really strong, wiping out anything else I had in my hand. The throw wasn't huge, but you could definetly smell it if your hand was near your face. It mellowed a bit after about an hour and a half/two hours to be less creamy and more straight up spicy, but it was very nice.

  14. WOMB FURIE
In the middle of the flanks of women lies the womb, a female viscus, closely resembling an animal; for it is moved of itself hither and thither in the flanks, also upwards in a direct line to below the cartilage of the thorax and also obliquely to the right or to the left, either to the liver or spleen; and it likewise is subject to falling downwards, and, in a word, it is altogether erratic. It delights, also, in fragrant smells, and advances towards them; and it has an aversion to fetid smells, and flees from them; and on the whole the womb is like an animal within an animal.
    -- Aretaeus the Cappadocian

Oh, that wily womb! Hippocrates and his followers considered the womb a mobile creature, causing mayhem as it writhed its way through a woman's body. Sometimes this ornery organ, due to lack of sexual activity, would create conflicts within a woman's system or would become blocked itself, causing anxiety, nervousness, water retention, and sleeplessness. With the assistance of doctors, nursemaids, hand tools, or, occasionally, self-manipulation, this vexing condition could be alleviated through hysterical paroxysms.

Or, as we call it nowadays: orgasm.

An itch that needs to be scratched: Snake Oil and three types of honey.

To be honest, and snake oil have a less than great record. Straight up snake oil makes me deal with two hours of annoying spice before it gives me the soft vanilla, and none of the Snake pit were a success. This however, has PROMISE!!! The honey cuts out the harshness that the indonesian oils do when they're on my skin, and they're not taking over. I can still tell i'm wearing snake oil, but it's got some honey underneath. The honey and the vanilla also last for a long time, so i'm definetly not getting the disappearing act that I usually associate with snake oil blends. I highly recommend giving it a try!!

  15. Honey, quince, vanilla, white cognac, Spanish mandarin, and golden tobacco.

This started out reminding me of Peach Moon, a soft ripe fruit, but as it dried down, the fruit became less promient, but the softness continued. It's like......... as i'm smelling it, all my worries go away. It's like i'm being wrapped in a lovely blanket. And it's long lasting.....been going for 6 hours strong!

  16. I smelled this at the lab,and i'm like......what is that.........

I kept sniffing and sniffing it when I put it on......... and my only conclusion is that this is the sweet smell that happens when it rains. O.o

  17. I had no interest in this scent whatsoever, none of the vampires were appealing to me.

But I got a bottle for mumblemutter in Singapore, and as I was wrapping everything up, I went....that smells nice. So I got a toothpick, and tested it.

    OH NOES.

It's NICE!!! I wasn't sure what I was smelling, and one of the earlier reviews had a mention of vanilla amber. That's what it is. It's really really nice.....

  18. PEACH MOON
    Smoke hangs on the stream,
The peach-trees shed bright leaves in the water,
Sound drifts in the evening haze

Dew-covered peach blossom, white tea, moonlit musk, night-blooming jasmine, ho wood, and chrysanthemum.

I was really hesitant about this, because me and florals often equal death. So, I went on a limb and tried it.

SO PRETTY!!! It's a really soft peach, and it lasted forever..... so nice. And it's not like any of the GC's i've tried, I was wearing Aglaea earlier in the day, and it's my pretty bubbly peach scent, and this is such a different peach. It's so warm and soft, i'm definitely getting this.
