    Perpetuum Bonum

Review - this is mostly a review on effectivness, and is going to be long as it is a bit hard to explain. I have a bunch of TAL oils I keep under my (as of yet) unconsencrated altar. A bunch of friends were over Sunday playing D&D (this is a RPG game played with dice.) Well one friend was rolling nothing but 1's. Understand we roll a 20 sided dice to see how successful you are on an action. A 20 means (usually) perfect hit/jump/shot etc... a 1 means you tripped and fell on your sword/friend/dwarf/rattlesnake etc. So basically 1's are BAD, often hilarious, but BAD. Well she was trying to cross a rope bridge across a chasm, 5 rolls to get across. rolled a 1, fell. rolled another 1, slipped off the rope, another 1, missed grabbing the ledge on the chasm wall... you get the idea. So near the end of the night, I jumped up grabbed my PB and told her to hold out her hands, I dabbed some on the palm of each hand and told her to hold her hands together as this was suppose to bring good fortune and prosperity to all areas of your life. Well her night improved to the point she didn't die, which is always good. But that isn't the point. Monday she received a call from her mother whom she has been borderline wanting to strangle over disagreements about her wedding on 4-13 (yes two weeks away). Dreading the call she answers. It is her mom in a good mood saying " said if you didn't do the big wedding we'd give you money, so which account would you like it in?" (direct quote) The same mom who has pouted, sulked and threatened for the last month. So she is getting a LARGE check written to her AND "she proceeded to tell me she's covering the wedding cake as well as lunch, my aunt wants to give a tea for me at the college in our hometown, and my grandmother has even decided she wants to pitch in on my dress. " so.... while it might not have helped in rolling dice, that was a lot of good fortune to drop on her door step. Weird but true.

    Shub-Niggurath

Shub 2006- The lust incense of a corrupted Astarte. A blend of ritual herbs and dark resins, shot through with three gingers and aphrodisiacal spices. I was sent a sniffie of it when I first started, I just ignored it because I had heard how rare it was and did not want to get hooked. So I ordered an imp when I next ordered so I could try it. Ginger cookies... I love foodie scents and this is no exception. All day I kept getting whiffs of that wonderful sweet ginger and it made me smile every time. The lemony scent I caught at teh beginning was rich and creamy and just enhanced the ginger. This will be a bottle very soon as even my husband did not dislike it (which is major for me) and I love it... ~sighs~ edited to add description.

    Pulcinella & Teresina

In the bottle: strong woodsy tones, I was hopeful, I like cedar. Wet: different, woody, but something else. Dry: there is something here that is making me pull back. I get the hints of cedar that are delicous, but there is something here that is almost chemically overpowering.. maybe it is my nemesis rose, but something... Overall: I might have to wash this off, of course theone I like the least is the one with the best staying power so far, but I wish I knew what is giving this almost ferment smell to this.. ~sighs~ away it goes, this will be the only time I wear it.

    Bengal

Bengal - In the bottles spicy honey, smells so good, so I slather a little bit on, inner wrist and elbow, only one arm. Mmmm... honey and spices I think I am in love. I work ignoring my arm... Hmm.. what is that odd tingle? I look down ACK!!! No... no no... please don't do this.. my arm and elbow bright red and welting.. no!!!! You smell so good you were on my bottle list, I love you... Stares at arm fixedly, hoping it will go away. Nope, welts getting bigger. Sobs and goes to wash arm. But I love this... scent locket you may have made a sale. EDITED:WTF?? Okay I go to wash it off crying the whole time and figure I will go back to redo one of the ones I am thinking about a bottle of, one I have tried before and.. BOOM.. arm red and welting.. WTF?? So.. now I am hoping as it is that evil week that it is just chemistry.. I am going home to do a test of Bengal, Sarandapal, and Wrath on my arm to watch and see what happens. I have tested about 50 oils and this is the first time I have had ANY reaction.. but also the first evil week to come along.. so we shall see.. I want my Bengal

How to remove scents from your skin

I am brand new, and still waiting for my order to arrive, I jumped in big time and ordered 18 imps. So we shall see. But while waiting I have been reading reviews and noticed a coupled people were complaining that some of the oils that did not agree with them they could not get off their skin. I have a trick that might work, and it will also remove the oil from jalepenos and other hot peppers if you get them on your skin. Put enough water in a sink to cover your hands, or affected area, and put about a cap full to a 1/2 cup of bleach in the water. If you watch you can see the oils jump to the suface. Let sit about a minute, then wash you hands, and no oils. I use this trick when cutting hot peppers and the oils get on your hands, soap won't remove them, this will. Hope this helps.
