  1. A very creamy amber and vanilla! There's something else in the background which must be the spices, which rounds out the scent and keeps the vanilla from going plastic and the amber from going baby-powder. I didn't get much mandarin, if any, and only a hint of gardenia.

  2. Trachelophorus Giraffe v3 is a bit of an enigma to me. It was described to me as hard to pin down, having a green quality but also a warm sweetness. I definitely get both of those things here. Normally I am not a fan of scents that have any kind of "green" in the description, but this is actually pretty awesome. You can smell the green-ness, and also something that is kind of earthy and woodsy, and a sweet component that is reminiscent of Ecstasy of Infatuation to me. This is a very interesting blend, for sure!

  3. I am kind of surprised that this isn't as highly sought after as previous event-exclusive frimps. It is quite delicious, and I for one am happy to have bedbugs :) It smells like gingersnap cookies with a hint of orange. The throw is moderate and it lasts for a few hours, not bad in my book.

  4. This has been on my "to try" list for a while...possibly since it came out years ago!

This is a very subtle on me, close to the skin, I can see how this would be sensual. It isn't quite patchouli but has that kind of vibe, it's slightly woody-resiny. I am not getting anything very sweet at the moment, though I think it is starting to go that way the longer it stays on my skin.

I think I could do with just a decant of this, but I have a bottle, will have to test more to see if it's worthy of staying.

  5. I couldn't find a post covering this - apologies if this is a duplicate. I love the cherry blossom note in Kyoto, but haven't tried many blends which contain this. Anyone got a favourite cherry blossom blend they could point me towards? Many thanks!

Voyeurs Among Cherry Blossoms and Jingo are my favorites! I think Cherry Blossoms are in Hanami, too.

  6. The reviews are pretty spot on for Aphrodite. She is lush greenery and roses...the greenery was prominent at first, but now the roses are coming out to play...and there's a hint of some other flower as well. I may keep it just for the name, as I am not that big a fan of green scents, but I'll see...

  7. O time! My bottles, straight from the lab:

CCXCVII: Wet, it smells like O + Leo on me! Kind of orangey and sweet, but with a hint of something else well-blended. However, after it dries a bit, the orangeyness fades away, leaving mostly just O. O usually turns kinda weird on me, so I don't know if I am going to keep it. I will call this one "Le-O"

CCCXXXIV: In this blend, O takes a backseat to lime. Or should I say LIME. Hint of greenness and sugariness, like a mojito without the alcohol. This will be/would be great for summer, if I decide to keep it). I dub this one "Mojit-O" (okay, sorry about the bad puns! I promise not to do any more)

Acquired from a sales post, half full:

CCXVI: Was described as light citrus- mango and peachy O (kinda like a tropical breeze rather than in-your-face pina colada).

Wet, it smells almost exactly like Tiki Queen on me. I get that same Sweet tarts smell (although I think I can smell a hint of O underneath, but I may just be imagining it. Once it dries down, some kind of tropical floral comes out...gardenia + maybe something else? It smells lovely, fruity and exotic, but I am not a gardenia fan so I don't think I will keep this one.

  8. Wow, this blend reminds me of summer! It's mostly coconut and wood, like wearing sunblock on my wooden back porch...the coconut is really sun tan lotion-y on me and very prominent, and the wood is more in the background. I think I am also getting hints of somehting resin-y, the frankincense I guess.

  9. Whee, thanks to a kind soul, I am trying Bat of Virtue!

This is a rose-y berry, not as sweet as I thought it would be. The rose adds an air of perfumeyness, which keeps the berries from getting too I-just-spilled-smoothie-on-my-arm. The throw is pretty light, but I applied it light, so I'm not taking that as any indication.

  10. Wow, I think I forgot to keep reviewing my CTV's after I got through most of the Dorians, and that won't do! I think I'll start with a mysety Snake Oil CT that I got in a swap. The letters have mostly rubbed off, but I can make out CXXsomething.

The oil was described to me as Snake Oil and Plum, and I think it's pretty spot on. I wasn't sure if this was going to be too perfumey for me, at it has a very perfume-y vibe to it, almost reminiscent of Glowing Vulva's perfumeyness. I wonder if there's any similar notes in this, as it smells like a creamy, vanilla plum. And not the vanilla that usually goes plastic on my either...okay, maybe a tiny bit plastic if I sniff hard, but it's barely detectable! This is sweet plummy goodness.

  11. Mmm, cherry blossoms! I was hoping that this would not induce a headache, and thankfully, it did not aggravate my already bad allergies at all! This is cherry blossoms but sweeter, and on drydown, it's mostly vanilla musk with only a hint of cherry blossoms. I love both the wet and the drydown of this perfume, and may need to look into getting a partial or a bottle after my decant runs out!

  12. More Dorian CTs!

Bottle CCCXXXIV (334): The Dorian is strong in this one! In the bottle, it's very limey! Like, mostly lime. And not your tame, everyday lime. This is LIME, strong and proud. After applying and still wet, the oil was a limey Dorian, nice, and balanced. There may have been a hint of another citrus poking around in the background, but it was hard to tell. After a few minutes though, most of the lime fades and a slightly more crisp version of Dorian is what's left. I like this more than I thought I would!

Decant CLVIII (158): When first applied, this smells...strange. Something doesn't smell quite right. It smells like a mixture of honey (straight from the jar) and herbs or some kind of greenery and plant life. Even though there is a honey note, the oil doesn't smell very sweet, just mostly fresh and green. The honey note fades after a few minutes, so now it's just a hint of Dorian with fresh greenery. Now on the drydown, it almost reminds me a bit of Ostara.

Decant CLXIX (169): Whoa, holy foodiness, Batman! This Dorian-based mixture smells like a Halloween blend. It reminds me a lot of Sugar Skull, I think it has that same almost spicy but not quite burnt sugar/caramelly note. I'm only getting a hint of Dorian in the background. I'd say this is the sibling of Sugar Skull, and cousin to Sugar Slathered Candy Apple (sans apple, of course).

Bottle CCXXXV (235): This was my first Dorian CT bottle, and it inspired me to want more! I'd say it smells similar to Creepy and Sugar Slathered Candy Apple...it's caramelly. Similar, but with notable differences, to the Decant of 169 I have. There is a little more Dorian in this blend as well, so the caramel is mingling with the musky vanilla tea, it's veeeeery nice! Not too much change from application to drydown, either.

  13. On me, this seems kinda musky with some kind of light floral...rose, I think. I can see the comparison to Ivanushka, it has that soft, velvet-ty feeling to it, but seems a bit girlier than Ivanushka. I wasn't sure if I liked this when I first put it on, but now I think I do :)

ETA: I think this may have been the prototype to Whoso List To Hunt, they smell reeeaaaaally similar.
