    Blood Kiss

ugh... where are all these delicious things everyone else smells?? on me? mulled wine and those cedar chips you use in rodent cages... mmm. i had to wash it off after 30 minutes cuz it was making me ill. *le sigh.*

    Tombstone

hmm. i almost didn't try this one, as it didn't smell like "me", but i gave it a shot. on, this is rootbeer and pipe tobacco in a old wood building... i am from northern california (gold country) and this totally reminds me of visiting shops in the old mining towns in the foothills. it's a comforting scent, but i am not certain i want it on me all day. that said, i'll likely keep the imp, but i won't be buying a big bottle.

    Temperature and BPAL

I don't have a/c in my house either but I find the closets do actually stay cool as they get no light and the door is always shut. Also if you have a basement that stays cooler then the rest of the house that might be a good place to put them too. I've heard refridgerating perfume is not a good idea but then I've heard of a boutique where all the perfume is stored in a refridgerated display. There is always pros and cons to many things, I don't know if Beth ever mentioned whether her blends could be stored in fridges. Hopefully someone who does store their collection in the fridge will pop in and help answer that question for you. my guess is somewhere that has a refrigerated perfume case has the case at a much warmer temp than the fridge you keep your food in... like people have wine fridges that keep it at the ideal temp & humidity.

    Phantasm

in vial: gah! lemon verbena all the way... a lil green tea cowering in the background. on skin: the green tea isstanding up for itself a bit more, and some distant floral notes... but still mostly lemon verbena. drydown: more green tea & jasmine shortly before dissappearing & leaving me with remnants of lemon pledge... meh. glad this was a freebie... might be nice as a room scent, but doesn't work on me. if i want to smell like furniture polish i will get the benefit of polished furniture. lol

    Hellcat

in the vial: syruppy honey almond with a bit of spiced rum wet on skin: more almond & rum, a bit spicier & more boozy. dried down: the almond is a bit less sickening now... a softer sweet spice. i am not sure i'd wear this during the day, but maybe for a night at a bar... seems like it could hold it's own in a smokey club without trying to fight it. all in all pleasant, tho i won't be buying a bottle. it was an extra in a package i got & i will probably give it another chance later

    White Rabbit

woowoo, my first review... in the bottle: sweet, peppered dryer sheets... huh?? honestly a little dissapointed, this is my first bpal scent & in the bottle it doesn't smell like i want to wear it, but... reluctantly swiped on a wrist: woo... there's the ginger & honey... the tea is still mostly hiding. after 20 minutes: ahhhhhh. much better! sweet milky tea comes up & the peppery linen scent fades into the background without dissappearing completely. comforting & subtle... not too sweet... i may keep this afterall! *later* okay okay. white rabbit wins. i want to drink tea & take a nap with this... it may not be good for days i really need to move, but it is like a big fuzzy scent blanket once it dries down. mmmmm.

BPAL scents appropriate for very young children?

it is a lot easier to like them in spite of behavior when they smell good. lol

BPAL scents appropriate for very young children?

so i have a 3.5 y/o. she is the girliest girl that ever there was. already obsessed with mommy's "makeups", she has her own puff of pixie sparkle powder & a bottle of mustela's "eau de soin".. an alcohol free, hypo allergenic scent that smells like lemon & white blossoms.. she calls it her baby 'fume. she is like having a tiny naked fairy running around the house (partially due to her preference to be nude at home... i stopped fighting it lol). i am interested in finding a bpal scent or two i could dilute into a roll-on bottle for her. something sweet and/or light enough to not be weird on such a small person. any suggestions?
