  1. A frimp from the lab.

In the imp it is soft and light with hints of orange and jasmine. As I apply it to my skin the orange grows stronger while the jasmine fades quietly into the background. As it dries down the musk comes out along with a blooming rose. It lasts a while.

Overall Rapture is a very soft and warm scent with floral, fruit and the presence of sex... I want to curl up next to someone right now. :P

  2. In the bottle: Sticky and sweet with lots and lots of caramel.

On me: The caramel softens and I smell a toasty sort of coconut. Not too strong, not too light... it is perfect. A sweet mix of sugary goodness.

As it dries: It turns a bit smokey, but is still soft; I'm guessing this is the tobacco. Now I'm hungry and longing for a cigarette.

Red Lantern is a winner. I simply love it. Why didn't I buy more? :P

  3. What a cute label, I just love it (and wonders whose cat that may be).

In the bottle, wet and dry down all I can smell is cinnamon. The cinnamon was overpowering and I was worried that it might burn, but instead it had this brilliant, warm glow. I'm not sure how I feel about this at the moment, but cinnamon does not work for me. I think I'll put this to the side for a bit and try it again in a few weeks... I so want the kitty love. :P

  4. It is odd and strange, I've been thinking about my grandmother a lot lately, she passed away a few years ago and in my order was a frimp of Grandmother of Ghosts. I know the frimp and my random thoughts have nothing to do with each other, but I was still happy to take a sniff.

My mind drifted off to the forest. A place covered in thick green moss, where the branches were thick and covered with leaves. Everything was dark and deep, almost to the point where one could get lost, though the feelings surrounding me were not; the feelings blossomed with light, those feelings made me feel calm and a little closer to getting home.

I rather enjoyed Grandmother of Ghosts.

  5. White Chapel

    Wanderlust

A spring day, you are outside and mom just hung the sheets out to dry. The air is clean, crisp and there is not a cloud in the sky. You can see the boy next door, he has this cute boyish grin that makes you just a little bit bashful and you want to hide. So you run through the sheets, your hands make them sway and you get lost in a sea of white. You are laughing out loud and enjoying this little game of him looking at you and you looking at him... then you realize your hands weren't clean, they were covered in dirt and looking back you know it is too late to change what you've just done. But he's laughing too, that boy next door, so right now it seems okay.

I was happy to receive White Chapel as a frimp in my Bitter Moon order and even though it is a gentlemen's blend, I truly do adore it. Who knew lime could be so wonderful on my skin? :P

    *edited for spelling... d'oh!

  6. Gluttony

    Sin & Salvation

They tell you never to eat the peanuts they serve at the bar, but you never really cared what "they" had to say and besides they taste so damn good. Friday night is here, so live it up, live a little on the wild side and keep eating those nuts. (Man are these nuts good. I can't get enough of them.) And there's better news the bartender tells you they just got a new chocolate stout on tap, so she pours a pint and they keep on coming. Everyone is looking good, you are feeling fine and it is going to be a great night. Beer, peanuts and girls in glasses... I mean what could get any better than that? Maybe a cigarette, but you quit two years ago so just get lost in the haze around you and take another drink... you've got all night to see what unfolds.

I really enjoyed where gluttony took me. Hats off to the lab! If we ever meet the next round is on me.

  7. Love-Lies-Bleeding reminds me of baking a red velvet cake. Something deep, thick and red... with hints of cocoa, sugar, cherries and buttermilk (I'm guessing there's no buttermilk in there, but it just comes to mind.. he he). I think of the South, visiting friends and sitting outside on a swing as the wind makes the trees sway. It is a comfortable scent. It gives me comfort and yet makes me feel strong. I'm very happy that I ordered a bottle. :P

  8. Schwarzer Mod reminds me of walking in the Valley of Fire. It reminds me of walking on the sand, how it was hard to move my feet and yet I kept going. It reminds me of the sun, the sand and the dirt we kicked up. I reminds me of the petroglyphs, seeing the past and wondering what else may be waiting to be found by modern man. I know some people may not like the desert, but I could spend days walking around in it and having my senses come alive.

Still battling a cold, but here goes...

Bottle: Amber, patchouli and something else

Wet: Amber, the patchouli fades and myrrh

Dry: Amber, myrrh, musk and other things my nose is not quite sure of... but I like it a lot

  9. The Black Moon reminds me of reflection. It reminds seeing the moon and the stars not only up in the sky above, but rippling in the water below. It has me thinking of not just what I see, but how I see it. And there is a soft, cool breeze blowing that makes me feel calm, relaxed and awake.

My nose is still battling the cold, but here is what I could make out...

In the bottle: Pear and cucumber.

    Wet: Lotus, cucumber and musk.

Dry: Orchid, lotus, cucumber, the pear returns and musk.

  10. Autumn breezes bring the sweet smell of pumpkin pie through the air. Fresh out of the oven, baked warm with love.... a little bit sweet, some spices mixed in and a caramelized peach drizzled on top.

Yum, oh, yum. I really do like Jack. Now let's get that pie cut. :P

  11. I received this as a free imp in my Harvest Moon order.

In the bottle Horn of Plenty is all almonds and a bit musky. Though on my skin it turns sweet, like honey. As it dries the sweetness and honey linger, only to be greeted by a soft baby powder and I won't complain about that.

Now I wish my butter fingers did not break the cap. :P Off to find some tape now.

  12. I am so in love with 13 right now. :P

In the bottle I smell a soft, whipped chocolate. My mind drifts to a time when we were younger and my Mom let us pick out candy, I always chose the 3 Musketeers.

Applied to my wrists the chocolate swirls with oranges, tea and a little bit of berry. Like a delicious night time treat. I want to lick my wrists, but I resist.

As it dries the orange and berry fade softly, with the tea coming stronger surrounded by a rich, chocolate cream.

All I can say is please bring me another bottle of 13. :D

  13. Marie

    Diabolus

"Let us walk through the garden, I have something most wondrous to show you" said Marie in her most soft and sultry voice. As we passed the gate, just beyond the bend were rows upon rows of beautiful, purple violets blowing gently in the wind; my eyes were amazed and my heart was seduced... at that very moment I wanted to tell her all of my deepest secrets. Instead I just smiled and we laughed. We continued to walk for a while when we came across roses, just opening for the day with water dripping from the tips. I remarked that I never had any luck growing them and was always envious to see others with such magnificent blooms, she said I could have my pick and enjoy the beautiful fragrance all day.

Hubby was not around for me to ask what he thought, so I may add that later.

I will be quite happy to buy a bottle of this in a future order, as it seems like the perfect fragrance to wear when I am out with the girls.

Once again, a big thank you to emzebel for including this in my newbie imp pack! :P

  14. Burial

    Dark Elements

Strong, dark and deep my mind is taken to the forest, where tall aged pine trees block out the sun. Leaves are overturned on the ground, letting bits of earth open and grasping for air. I feel like moving the leaves and putting my hands in the ground to feel the wet, heavy soil as my fingers get covered in earth.

I asked hubby what he thought; D thinks it smells like pine, dried wood and roses.

Sadly I will not be getting a bottle of this, as it makes my head spin, just a tiny bit. :D

Once again, a big thank you to emzebel for including this in my newbie imp packs! :P

  15. This is my first review... so here goes.

Pick me. Pluck me. Eat me. No I'm not fruit fresh off the branch or vine, but I do smell as I've been running through the orchard. Oranges swirling with a sweet sticky sugar and hints of berries. As time goes on I slowly fade, though my sweetness lingers and you'll still want a taste, a lick or even a drink as you might mistake me for orange chai. Because I'm starting to smell orange chai. Yum.

  16. I wish CCNOW would rename their "shipping" status because it has nothing to do with the shipment of the product.

Being the total newbie that I am I thought my package got lost... as I placed my first order on June 12 and when I went to check the status order yesterday CCNOW stated that the order was shipped on June 15. How I wish I read this thread before I sent my e-mail off to the answers addy, and not after, as I feel so beyond stupid. :P
