I really love the song Rahadlakum (from Kismet). I wanted to share it with you all but YouTube doesn't have the vastly superior Broadway version with Alfred Drake and Joan Diener (and chorus). Well, pfffftth.

Flash player and Firefox seriously need to see a couples counselor to figure this thing out. I am sick of their on-again/off-again passive-aggressive relationship. It's hurting the kids! (aka, me and everyone who simply wants to relax and watch a danged video on the internet).

On this Memorial Day, we honor all who gave their lives for their country. I'd like to spare a special thought for those whose service left them with a dark place inside which could never quite be vanquished; those who did not wish to be laid to rest in a military cemetery because that part of them was something they preferred not to remember. May you have finally found the peace you sought.

OMG. My friend and I were sitting here and someone rang the bell, but we didn't answer because we weren't expecting anyone. Then later I opened the door and there was a freaking band-aid taped to the doorhandle!!!!????And there was some mint tied to the handle as well. Is it some kind of voudou? It is with a heavy heart that we bring you the news that our little Charlie passed away this afternoon. He went quietly and painlessly, at home. We were blessed with his companionship for ten wonderful years (though he was probably closer to 13 years old). We'll miss him but are happy to know he's running free and whole again.
