The Spirit of the Divine Messenger, the Lord of the Crossroads, He Who Owns All Doors and Roads in this World. He is the intermediary between the Orishas and mankind, and stands at the intersection of humanity and the Divine. He opens all paths of communication, both mundane and Heavenly. His ofrenda contains coconut, tobacco and sweet, sugared rum. In the imp: Sweet and almost buttery ... Yankee Candle? Wet on skin: The tobacco comes forward with a backdrop rum. The creamy sweet base of this scent must be the coconut, but it smells a little more like vanilla - at least to me. Dry down: Wow, this is like Perversion, minus the smoke - which is just fine with me. I wish I was getting more of a coconut smell rather than "vanilla candle", but it does at least keep the tobacco note, which can go a little sharp on my skin, in check. The rum stays in the background, lending a bit of complexity to an otherwise sweet and waxy scent.

In the imp: Fresh florals. They're blended just so, I'm having a hard time discerning specific notes. Wet on skin: Sweeter floral, but with a fresh, almost watery feeling. Drydown: Fresh green florals, with a touch of powdery sweetness. Sorry this review is so generic. Only if I look up the scent description can I identify wisteria, jasmine, and roses the notes that I'm smelling. On the dry down the Florentine orris root seems to come forward more with a watery sweetness. It's a pretty scent, but for me, somewhat forgettable.

In the imp: my impressions are a fresh floral with a bit of sharpness underneath. Wet on skin: This is a fresh floral, but with a powdery sweetness which reminds me of amber. Drydown: Why am I smelling sharp, biting cotton/linen; yet there and no such notes in the is blend. Maybe it's the red sandalwood which comes across as sharp? I"m not too sure. I'm not liking this stage so far. An hour later: well the sharpness is still there, but it's not nearly as prominent as it was. There is a soft sweetness which somehow reminds me of amber, but must be the vanilla in the blend rounding out the bite of red sandalwood. Wish I could smell the peach and vanilla, but all I got was spiky sandalwood and floral (osmanthus?), perhaps smoothed out by the vanilla. This isn't a blend I'd reach for as it's too pungent in the wet and most of the dry down.

In the imp: Bubbly and slightly dry - almost like Schweppes Ginger Ale, but with a citrus kick. Wet on skin: Oh, this reminds me of Bon Vivant. I think these two blends share the same effervescent quality. I can really smell the lime and touch of lemon. Drydown: Dry, and lightly sweet lemon-lime scent. I really like this one, although it disappears quite fast - my skin just drinks it up. It's a really great scent for a hot summer day, as it's not too sweet - in fact it's more dry and slightly refreshing (a contradiction in and of itself - but there you go). I didn't really get the melon and green tea, but the champagne grape and lemon rind really make this one a nice stand out scent.

In the imp: Lilies? No, it's a floral with a background of spices. Hummm, this is promising! Wet on skin: The floral comes forward more,followed by a soft spice in the background. Drydown: The musk makes an appearance and this blend is now a musky floral with a very delicate spice, although I cannot tell which type of spice. I had preconceived ideas about this blend and it sadly fell a little short. I actually liked the carnation aspect of this fragrance, it's a little sweet and spicy. But I had hoped the plum would make more of an appearance and I wished the spices were a little more pronounced. I think this perfume is pretty, but it is understated and wears very close to skin.

In the imp: A lightly sweet floral Wet on skin: Lillies( ?) and something fresh and green, like a meadow. Drydown: Humm, reminds me of another blend I've tried, but can't place which one it was. This blend remains green and floral, with lilies, or a soft jasmine tone. I wish I got more insence, or earthy moss or even dirt. As it stands, this blend is teetering dangerously toward the "soap-y" side. And my fears were just confirmed ... my husband said I smelled "good, like soap". Ugh, not exactly the olfactory experience I was hoping for. Edit: House of Night, is the blend this one reminds me of, except a touch less sweet and with less incense.

I've had this imp for a while, I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet. Dragon's Blood smells like a sweet floral in the vial. I am surprised because it's called Dragon's Blood, you'd think it'd be more masculine or metallic, but it's quite lovely! Wet on skin, this scent just blooms. It's very floral, and fresh smelling and reminds me of the Lilac Festival. It's a festival held in a park which grows hundreds of lilac bushes of varying age and colors, from pale pink to deep magenta, blues and whites all intermixed. Anyway, this scent reminds me of springtime wandering around all these fragrant blossoms. I find during the dry down, this becomes a touch sweeter, and a little bit deeper - a muskiness perhaps? Yes, I'd say it was musk - but not too strong, just enough to lend a little complexity as it wears. I find the wear time is pretty strong, as is the throw on this. If you like sweeter fresh florals, or something with a touch of muskiness, I'd say give this a try. I really like this blend, although I haven't reached for it too often. It's a beautiful scent none the less, and I do believe I should bring my imp out of hiding.

I find this blend has a very perfume-y vibe, very mature smelling - but not in a bad way. It wears like a sweeter, strong resin - which must be the copal. I can't detect the beeswax or the skin musk because the copal is at the forefront of this scent. The throw is decent and the wear time is quite long. This blend is warm, resinous and very "sexy adult". I like it!

In the imp: Sweet patchouli Wet on skin: Patchouli Drydown: A slightly creamy, soft patchouli Well, I was hooping for more sweet coconut and benzoin, but I got patchouli instead. The patchouli in this blend is a little woody, and dry - but not terrible considering I amp this note. I think the coconut does tone down the "wood shavings" I normally get with a strong patch blend. I'll let my imp age a bit and see what it smells like in a few months - maybe the sweetness will come out with a bit of aging.

I had high hopes for this scent, but as I'm finding out, I amp fig, which isn't horrible, it's just not one of my favorite notes (personal preference). Anyway, this blend starts off amazing! It's all coconuty-almond marzipan goodness. I seriously want to eat my arm. Then the fig starts to come forward, and it's all down hill from there, as the blend just starts to become more and more about the fig, and less and less about anything else. Ah well. The wet stage is awesome and I'll probably just keep my imp for those glorious 10 minutes of scent sensation.

I'm surprised by this little imp! It's deliciously fruity, thanks to the mango and fig, while being grounded by the patchouli and tea notes. It's sweet and a little warm, but with a nice ever so slightly earthy backdrop - thanks to the patchouli. I know my skin amps patchouli, so take this review with the grain of salt. I didn't find this blend too cloyingly sweet or saccharine. I think this is a very wearable spring/summer scent. I could definitely see myself getting a big bottle of this.

In the bottle: Sweet, slightly powdery amber Wet on skinL Amber with a whisper of wood (oudh?) Drydown: The same amber/wood scent but with barely a hint of vanilla in the background. This is a very pretty scent and reminds me of La Gondola, from the Mistakonic Philharmonic series. It's warm and snuggly, without too much powder from the amber. But in all honesty, I was kind of hoping that the vanilla would be more prominent and the throw stronger. I know it sounds picky, but there it is. I do think it is very wearable and I don't have a bottle of anything similar, so this is a keeper thus far. Plus, I'm interested to see how this ages, maybe more of the oudh and vanilla will come forward ... we'll see!

In the imp: Ambery Vanilla. I think this smells so promising as I slather myself with my little imp. Wet on skin: Soft amber with vanilla undertones. Ahhh, very nice! After a few seconds, I sniff my arm ... "What the heck is that smell?!" Turns our the lily and ambergris came forward - and it's not pretty. The formally sweet scent smells more akin to morning breath or sweaty socks. For the sake of a review I'll let this sit for an hour or so to see what happens. Oh, what we do for love of perfume Drydown: Thankfully the sweaty sock stage subsides after about a half-hour. What I'm left with is a light, salty floral, with a breath of warmth in the background - probably from the vanilla. I'm not gonna lie, this isn't the best smelling on me. I think my skin hates the salty aquatic note (ambergris anyone?). That, and I find that I personally associate Lily with "old lady" perfume - but that's just a personal prejudice. I think that if you like light florals and or vanilla, and are okay with aquatics, give this blend a whirl.

In the imp: Faint and vaporous tropical blooms Wet on skin: Slightly sweet, tropical florals. Drydown: Humm, this is smelling more like dryer sheets the longer it sits on my skin. I can still smell the tropical flowers, but it's becoming a little soapy-ish. I'm honestly not getting too much scent from this one, it's so very light. I was hoping to smell the white ginger, but it's not coming out on my skin. Oh well, glad I got to thy this one.

in the imp: Smells like grape kool-aid, without all the sugar. Wet on skin: The rose comes out along with the fruity and sweet undercurrents of the dragon's blood. Drydown: The rose is the most prominent note. The wine is coming out, making the blend a little more deep and complex, while the dragons blood lends a wonderful sweet (but not too sweet), fruity edge. I am happily surprised how nice this blend turned out! Sometimes rose can be dry and somewhat ... "meh", but this is a juicy, grape-y rose scent. I'm enjoying my imp for sure.

In the imp: Sweet and slightly fruity. Wet on skin: Woah, this is vanilla, but it's fake and plastic-y on my skin ... imitation vanilla. Drydown: Play-dough vanilla. Seriously, if play-dough came out with scents, the vanilla one would smell like this. This scent is reminiscent of Go to Sleep Darlings or Snow White from the 2013 Yules, because of that specific vanilla play-dough smell. Tamora doesn't have a ton of throw, but it lasts all day. I put this on in the morning and could still smell it on my arm at dinnertime. Reading the scent description, I would imagine this scent to be beautiful ... "Amber, heliotrope, golden sandalwood, peach blossom and vanilla bean" ... just not on me. If Go to Sleep Darlings or Snow White worked for you, I think may like this one.

In the imp: A very light, airy scent. Perhaps a vague fruity floral? Wet on skin: Oh, theres the apricot! It's fresh and juicy and somewhat foody (I want to eat my arm). I'm also getting a touch of vanilla somewhere in the mix. I guess the white musk is in there too, but I'm not really smelling it. Is that the "clean" smell everyone seems to compare it to? If it is, I'm surprised, as the last couple of scents that had white musk in them smelled more like feral animal on my skin. This, on the other hand is oh so nice. Drydown: Freshly cut apricot, with a touch of warm vanilla and a background of white musk ("clean" smelling). I think this is a lovely scent, perfect for spring! It's not too strong, but the throw is above average. I think re-applicationwould be necessary throughout the day, as this only lasts about 3.5 hours. I'll definitely keep my imp.

In the vial: Sexy, musky orange. Wet on skin: Vanilla, which goes a touch plastic, alongside narcissus with a wisp of orange blossom in the background. Drydown: This blend is unpredictable, as each time I smell my arm, it seems to morph. I can detect a touch of orange in one sniff, yet in another, all I can smell is the narcissus. There is something that keeps peeking thru the background that is a little too "mature" for me, a hint of dusty old lady perfume. I guess I would describe this blend as deep, but slightly dusty (perhaps due to the narcissus?) and a little sweet. This would be totally bottle worthy if this blend smelled on my skin, like it did in the vial. I mean who wouldn't want to smell like a sexy orange? Anyway, I think my skin chemistry may be to blame, making a potentially wonderful scent into something, very "meh". It's not a bad blend, but it just isn't "me". Edited because "salsa omething" isn't what I wanted to write.

In the vial: Sweet cherry flavored cough syrup. Wet on skin: Wow, this remiss me of a Cherry Halls cough drop, but with that vapor stuff in it, kind of like eucalyptus or menthol. This reminds me a bit of Samhain, but without being soapy. Drydown: I'm still getting the menthol, or "cool" feeling, but it's not nearly as strong. The vanilla is coming out and is sweetening and warming this blend, so it's not as cold as it was when wet. I can detect a touch of wine and musk, which I really like. The cherry on the other hand smells a little artificial, at least to my nose. I'm not getting too much vetiver, unless that is the scent which is making this menthol-y. Surprisingly, I'm not detecting clove, which is fine by me, because I normally amp it to high heaven. I'm not too sure I was expecting this blend to smell and remind me of a fruit forward Samhain, sans soap. Weird right? I think I like this blend, but am not too sure. This deserves a re-test.

In the imp Warm and slightly sweet sandalwood, with a nice backdrop of cocoa. Wet on skin: Oh no, I smell sandalwood. - oh, please let it stay in the background. Sandalwood always amps on my skin. But this is okay. I'm getting a little bit of sweetness from the myrrh and vanilla. Yum! Drydown: Count me surprised, the sandalwood has stayed in check and I'm getting a gloriously resinous, slightly sweet cocoa. It's gourmet, without being too food-y. I really love this blend! It envelops you in it's soft velvety embrace. If you like cocoa, sandalwood or "warm" feeling scents, I'd say give this one a try.

Initial reaction: Ah, spicy clove, we meet again! And here comes the patchouli, making wood out of everything. Oh vetiver, nice to see you came along too. Oncet once this blend starts to dry down, it morphs into a lovely scent of deep spices and a touch of woods ... reminds me of an expensive, warm cologne, leaning more toward the masculine side. The earthy patchouli-vetiver combo subsided and has become a lovely backdrop to this scent. After a bit, the masculine cologne smell morphs again into a sweeter vanilla/tonka blend. Wow, Voodoo is a complex scent. It's seems to be constantly in flux, changing with time and body heat. I like the blend, but I kind of wish it didn't morph so often. Also, I think I may be getting a hint of something that is reminding me of BO, it's oh so very faint, and I can only smell it occasionally. No, it's not me. I did shower today. Upon further inspection, I think it's the underside of my forearm which smells faintly like this, but not the top (I tested on both the top and bottom of my forearm). I'd like to re-test and see what happens. Hopefully it's just a hormonal fluke. If not, maybe I can convince my hubby to try this one out, because I think it would smell sexy as hell on him.

This is a simple scent of mandarin and fig. It's quite sweet at first application and I find fig just keeps getting stronger the longer I have this on. Once it calms down, after an hour or so, the scent becomes light - almost floral. It's an okay scent, but it's just not grabbing me. I think it's the fig that is a downer in this as it can become cloying on my skin from the get go. Glad I got to try it, sad it didn't work out. I'll probably give it another go before it becomes a frimp.

In the imp: Sticky sweet molasses with lemon and something medicinal smelling. Just a note, the oil in the vile is viscous and dark amber, the coloring is like iodine. Wet on skin: An interesting combination of cocoa, lemon and sticky molasses. I find that the sweetness in this particular blend hits the back of my throat - not too sure I'm enjoying this. Drydown: I think I may be smelling something akin to Chinese five spice powder in this blend. Weird right? Maybe it's those "classical herbs of conflict". Wow, this is not what I had expected from this scent. Although, truth be told, I'm not too sure what I expected. I guess I was hoping the red musk would come out more prominently, along with the cocoa and tobacco. But I'm getting some sort of spiced molasses lemon head candy ... like Ricola. Reading thru other people's reviews, I think I either have a very strange sense of smell or my body chemistry is seriously messed up. Ah well. Glad I got to try this!

In the imp: Fresh cut lilies. Wet on skin: The "freshly cut" aspect of the lilies dissipates. The scent still smells like lilies, just not as green. Drydown: The scent of fading lilies. Going ... going ... gone. All in all, if you like the scent of lilies, give this one a go. I did enjoy it while it lasted, but with an incredibly short wear time (maybe an hour?), it isn't worth it to get a bottle.

In the imp: Sweet, dark muskiness with a hint of rose Wet on skin: Ahh, the wine really comes out now. It's a little sour, but not in a bad way - I kind of like it Then there is the musk which deepen the blend and the myrrh just lends a lovely sweetness. I'm not really smelling any rose right now. Drydown: The wine, myrrh and musk combo stay pretty stable for a while. I find it gets sweeter and then a little wine will come forward to make the blend a little more "bitter". It's an interesting sea-saw of a scent. Anyway, toward the middle of wear, the rose comes forward. It's such a pretty, green, living rose, not the dry and powdery type. Anyway, this blend has more a rose forward scent till the end-of wear. I found that this one is a morpheme on me, but I really liked all the stages. At first it's all wine and sweet musk. Then the rose comes to play and stays till the end. I think if you like wine scents or rose scents, you may want to give this one a try.
