  1. In the bottle: This seems to be a fruity lemonade mixed with some sugary florals.

Wet: The lemon blossom is the most prominent note at first. That note, combined with the other fruity notes, make me think of a berry lemonade. The berry notes are getting stronger the longer they sit on my skin, and the scent is becoming sweeter.

    Dry: A sugary berry lemonade.

Verdict: At one point during the wet phase, the scent was becoming too berry-prominent and sweet for me. I wish I had gotten more of the honeysuckle, sweet pea, rose sugar, and candyfloss from this scent. I will hang onto it for a while and test it again to see if those notes peek out more with age.

    Retest 9/12/15:

After aging for a year, I do get more of the candyfloss note. It's not like a berry lemonade anymore. The lemon and berry notes are still present, but they no longer dominate the blend. I like that the scent is sweeter now. I can definitely pick out the vanilla bean in the dry phase, and the scent seems more floral now than it was a year ago. It's nice, but I don't love it. I think I'll have to give it a full-day test before deciding whether or not to swap it or keep it.

  2. In the bottle: Delicious orange creamsicle! Well, tangerine creamsicle.

Wet: Same. I hope it stays like this!

The other citrus components are beginning to emerge. I can definitely smell all of the citrus components, so it’s a citrus creamsicle now.

    Dry: Citrus-y creamsicle goodness!

Much later on: The vanilla cream is all that remains.

Verdict: LOVE. :wub2: I am so glad that I took a chance and bought a bottle unsniffed.

  3. In the imp: When this first arrived, I mostly smelled peach and vanilla, but after settling for a few days, the amber and sandalwood have become more prominent.

Wet: The peach blossom seems to be the strongest note at first. Then, the amber starts to emerge. I definitely get the vanilla. The sandalwood is present as well (and it is a lot stronger in the crook of my elbow than it is on my wrist). I'm not really sure what heliotrope smells like.

Dry: It's a sweet vanilla, peach blossom, and resin scent.

Verdict: I like this, but I don't feel the need to spring for a bottle just yet. I will keep my imp and see how often I reach for it.

  4. In the decant: Sometimes I smell more honey, cedar, and musk, but other times, I open it and am met with the benzoin as well.

Wet: Lots of honey, musk, and cedar, softened a bit by the benzoin. The cedar in this reminds me of the one in Tombstone.

Dry: Powdery honey, musk, and resins. Quite strong.

Verdict: This was okay, but it's not really me. (I'm not a big fan of dark musk, and I have other honey scents that I prefer.
    )

  5. I love Morocco, so I bought it in candle form not too long after it was released.

When it is unlit, I go and stick my nose into it, and it smells amazing.

Alas, I can't really smell this one at all when it is lit. :( I know that Morocco is a light scent as it is, but I just don't think the dry air here is carrying the scent very well... which is too bad, because I would love it if my room smelled like Morocco!

  6. In the decant: This is a lot sharper than I thought it would be. I think it's the honey musk combined with either the green tea or the blackberry leaf, but I'm not sure.

Wet: The blackberry leaf takes the center stage. I get a little bit of the honey musk and the spices, but mostly, it's just blackberry leaf on my skin.

Dry: The vanilla bean has decided to make an appearance, and the honey musk is more prominent now. The blackberry leaf is still present, along with a hint of the spices. I really like this phase of the scent.

Several hours later, it becomes too powdery-sweet on me. The honey musk and the blackberry leaf are very strong.

    Verdict:
I'm glad that I was able to try this, but I won't be needing a bottle because the blackberry leaf is too prominent for my liking, and the honey musk ends up being too powdery and sweet after several hours.

  7. In the decant: This is very tart and tangy. I can also smell the pink pepper.

Wet: Same. It's quite fruity at first, but the pink pepper is becoming more prominent the longer this sits on my skin. It's kind of like a spicy red Kool-Aid.

    Dry: Spicy red fruit punch.

Verdict: This is way too fruity for me.

  8. In the imp: Wintery, indeed. I get the cool musk, mint, and flowers.

Wet: This reminds me of something. It has a bit of a Yule-vibe, and so I thought it might be making me think of another snowy floral. However, it's the musk note that reminds me of something, and I think it's the musk found in Snow Glass Apples v4. (I've never tried the released version of that scent.) The floral notes in this blend are very strong, and they seem to be getting stronger with time (although the musk and the mint are still present).

Dry: Same, but stronger on the floral aspect. I don't really get the white chocolate from this.

    Verdict:
This is okay, but there are other wintery floral scents that I prefer to this one.

  9. In the decant: The bergamot leaps out at me, supported by the brown notes lingering in the background.

Wet: The bergamot is the most prominent note. The amber seems to be getting stronger the longer this sits on my skin, but the bergamot is still the dominant note. The other notes come together to create a 'fuzzy' background.

Dry: The bergamot continues to reign, with the other notes contributing to that 'fuzzy brown' feel.

Several hours later, the amber seems to be all that remains.

Verdict: This is pleasant, but I don't need a bottle of this.

  10. In the imp: The grapefruit is the dominant note. It smells like an actual grapefruit (with the peel). I'm not really getting much else. Maybe a hint of the apple blossom?

Wet: The grapefruit takes the center stage. It maintains its position, and the apple blossom joins it after a while. The other notes don't seem to want to make an appearance.

Dry: The white tea does emerge after a while. It's a lovely citrus-y tea scent (with just a touch of ginger)!

Verdict: This is a lovely scent, and I think it would be great for the warmer weather. I am going to see how quickly I use up my imp before leaping for a bottle, though!

  11. In the imp: Mostly florals and mandarin. I hope I am able to get the vanilla from this.

Wet: The mandarin is the most prominent note. It stays that way for a while, but then the florals start to peek out more.

Dry: Eventually, the vanilla emerges to sweeten up the blend, although the mandarin is still the dominant note on me. (The vanilla isn't as prominent as I had hoped it would be, though.) There is a bit of dryness in the background that I think can be attributed to the red sandalwood. The florals have become more prominent.

Verdict: This is pleasant during the wet phase, but there is an aspect to this scent that I'm not sure that I like (probably one of the florals), so I don't think I need more of this.

  12. In the imp: I'm mostly getting amber and carnation from this.

Wet: Amber and carnation. It's burning a little. I hope that the burning is only temporary and that I don't get any welts from this.

Well, the burning sensation has stopped, although the spot where I applied it is a bit warm now. There is a spice to this, but I don't know if it is in one of the ambers, or if it is a spicy carnation?

The carnation is coming out more now, as it usually does (my skin tends to like to amp this note).

Dry: The spicy carnation has stomped all over everything else.

*several hours later* The spicy carnation is still quite prominent, but the amber is present again.

Verdict: I'm sad that I didn't get any of the apple blossom in this at all, and that the carnation won out over the ambers. I won't be getting a bottle of this.

  13. In the imp: The yuzu is the dominant note. I have no idea what kaki smells like, though.

Wet: The yuzu is the dominant note on my skin at first, and I'm reminded of the yuzu in Lightning Storm hair gloss. The scent seems to have become less sweet once it hit my skin, though. I do get the 'bittersweet' aspect mentioned in the description.

I think the cherry blossom is trying to peek out. I am not really getting any tea at this point. Yes, the cherry blossom is definitely becoming more prominent. I am enjoying this thus far.

Dry: It is far more bitter now, and I'm not sure if that is due to the tea note or a note that I'm not familiar with...it has a bit of a smoky scent to it as well.

Verdict: I like this, but I preferred it in its wet stage. I'm going to see how quickly I go through my imp before deciding to upgrade to a bottle.

  14. In the imp: Oooooooh. I hope this is as amazing on me as it is in the imp. I can smell the almond the most.

Wet: The almond is definitely a main player at first. I detect the lotus as well. The almond is still present, but it becomes more musky and spicy with time. It also seems to be becoming more powdery, and that is probably due to the soft myrrh.

    Dry: Quite powdery. Damn.

It is gradually becoming a sweeter musky powder. Oh hai, saffron!

The scent has redeemed itself! It's now a soft, sweet musky scent. Very comforting.

Verdict: I think this will be one for the scent locket, as it isn't nearly as awesome on me as it was in the imp (which I plan on hanging onto since the scent smells so good in the vial).
The first part of the wet phase and the final drydown were good, but I'm not very fond of the powdery phase.

  15. My imp of this somehow broke and leaked everywhere, so I am testing what little I could get out of it.

I mostly get apple from this at first, but the rose and the lemon are definitely present. I love apple notes, so I am enjoying this thus far.

The rose seems to be coming out more with time, but the apple still seems to be the dominant note.

I like this, but I will have to get another imp to test a larger amount and see if I need a bottle (because I have so many apple scents and rose scents already).

  16. This one is very strong on the champagne grape, and it remains the dominant note the entire time. At times, I think I get hints of the apple, rose, and the asphalt note. However, it's mostly just champagne grape.

I think I will keep my partial bottle for the time being... but I won't be needing more of this.

  17. At first, it was very heady, musky, and sweet. It was off-putting. Ladon went so horribly cough-syrup-y on my skin that I had to wash it off. It must be the cherry (or something like it) in the dragon's blood. I thought if anything could make me like dragon's blood, it would be the addition of vanilla.

I am definitely getting a cherry-almond vanilla vibe from this scent now. The vanilla does make dragon's blood better for me, but I still dislike the cherry aspect. It dries down to a vanilla with a hint of cherry.

I don't need a bottle of this, as there are several vanilla scents that I prefer to this one, and I am not particularly fond of that cherry note. However, I will keep the frimp and test it some time in the future after it has had time to age. (I know the vanilla in Tombstone becomes more prominent when it ages.)

  18. In the imp: Porridge with a bit of spice and a bit of nuttiness.

Wet: The cinnamon is quite prominent on my skin, but fortunately, it doesn't burn. I momentarily got the oatmeal cookies that others mentioned in their reviews, but it seems to be predominantly cinnamon on my skin. Now there is a hint of something like raisins? I am not fond of raisins. I think I am getting more of kukui nuts now...cinnamon, raisins, and nuts.

Dry: Raisins with cinnamon and nuts. RAISINS OF DOOM. I guess it is like oatmeal raisin cookies with a generous amount of cinnamon.

Verdict: I may have liked this if it weren't for the arrival of the raisins (and the prominence of the cinnamon). This one is definitely not for me.

  19. In the bottle: Very perfume-y at first, and then quite grassy. It's a green tea mixed with either bergamot or orange peel. It registers to my nose as steeped green Earl Grey leaves.

Wet: The citrus component is the dominant note on my skin at first. I am sure that it is bergamot now (and not orange peel). I'm glad it isn't grassy on me (like it was in the bottle). It's still a bit perfume-y, though. I still believe the tea note is a green tea, and it seems like it is becoming more prominent the longer this sits on my skin.

Dry: The scent is quite light now. The bergamot is still there, although it is faint. It's mostly a light, clean scent.

Verdict: I'm glad that I was able to try this tea scent! It's not one of my favorites, but I am going to hang onto my bottle.

*edit* I just retested this one after a few years, and I do think there is jasmine in this... like a jasmine green Earl Grey.

ETA: Retested this to see if it could stay in my collection and I'm getting a lot of anise in the wet phase now? I'm not sure if it is the tea note or if it's because it's a note that pops up in the Miss Spink and Miss Forcible scents, but it's time for me to let it go because I never reach for it.

  20. I love Eat Me, and I love hair gloss. So naturally, I bought three bottles.

It smells just like the Eat Me perfume, which means that it smells like white cake, vanilla (which I believe is the same variety found in Snake Oil), and currants. It's AMAZING.

    AND IT IS STRONG.

Seriously, I put this in my hair yesterday, and even though I took a shower today, it is still going strong in my hair. I have to say that it is one of the strongest hair glosses that I own.

That said, I wouldn't recommend slathering the Eat Me perfume while pairing it with the hair gloss. I'm a mega-slatherer, and I regretted my slathering yesterday when I ended up being car sick (whilst being immersed in a never-ending cake cloud). I plan on using a light application of the perfume when pairing it with the hair gloss in the future.

*edit* Day three. I washed my hair twice when I took a shower today. My hair still smells like cake. THIS IS SOME STRONG STUFF.

  21. In the decant: This has a very strong coffee note. It is a bitter coffee scent (not a sweet one).

On my skin: The shisha tramples all over the coffee note to the point where it could almost be considered a tobacco single note if it weren't for the hint of spices in the background.

Verdict: Not for me. I prefer the coffee and incense vibe of Destructive Vagina of the Fox Spirit, or the brown-sugar chocolate coffee of El Dia de Los Reyes to this one.

  22. I ordered a decant of this because my boyfriend was interested in this scent. I didn't expect to like it...but I absolutely adore Kit.

The first thing to hit my nose is the creaminess of what I believe is the benzoin (but perhaps it is the type of sandalwood). I thought this would be a dry sandalwood scent on my skin, but that is not the case. This is such a soft, comforting scent (like being enveloped in a warm, fuzzy blanket). :wub2: Once dry, the 'dry' aspect mentioned in the scent description emerges, and it is a stays rather close to the skin.

The decant is already gone, and I'm so glad that I own a bottle. However, a back-up bottle will be necessary... I am in love.
