    Fire of Love

In the bottle: Autumn24 called this "A hot, swollen, engorged scent of strong ginger." and that is exactly right. I smell ginger first and just underneath is musk and a hint of black pepper. Wet: The musk comes out to play when I first put this on. The ginger is still there, very clean, like how my mouth feels after eating a slice of candied ginger. Dry: Earthy sex! The ginger seems to have disappeared entirely and been replaced by cedar. The musk is still around but not so prominant now. Below that is the black pepper. Overall: Something very intriguing about this one, very sexy. Gotta add yet another scent to my list of bottles!

    Omen

In the bottle: Very clean in the bottle. I am guessing that is the juniper. The patchouli comes through slightly but mostly it's the juniper. Wet: The astringency disappears once this hits my skin. This turns into a warm juniper scent with an undertone of myrrh. The patchouli unly shows up at the very end. Dry: Oh my! I am really enjoying Omen! This is what a hike in the woods smells like. Clean and dirty. The patchouli plays so nicely with the juniper that I think I could get away with wearing this around my BIL (he greatly dislikes patchouli and calls me a stinky hippy when I wear it). Overall: I bought this on a whim and a so very glad I did! Omen goes on my big bottle list! Lovelovelove!

    Tintagel

In the bottle: Sweet like BubbleYum. It's the only thing I can smell. And this is the most red oil I've tried so far. Wet: There's cinnamon in here! Two seconds on my skin, without rubbing it in, and I smell like a sweet stick of cinnamon gum. Dry: Very nice when dry. There is still a spice note and some sweetness but now this has changed to a more woodsy scent. Overall: This is a winter scent to me. I'd wear this while playing out in the snow to keep me warm. It's lovely!

    Old Scratch

In the bottle: Earthy with a touch of zing. Is there a spice in here? Wet: Amber with the sweetness of tonka. The earthy scent isn't so strong on my skin when wet. No lavender. Dry: Wow is this soft! I was expecting something a little stronger. The rosewood really ties everything together. I was wondering how the lavender would fit with patchouli and amber because those are always so much stronger on my skin. The rosewood brings it all together for me. Overall: I am in love with Old Scratch! Love it! I feel very feminine wearing this. The scent is so light and subtle. *swoon* I can't wait for this bottle to arrive! And imp is just not enough!

    Crossroads

In the bottle: A tangy green, like someone cut up a thick leaf. Very fresh and spring-like. Wet: Spring during a rainstorm! Dry: Still very green with a floral sweetness. I'm not getting any of the dirt but I know it's there somewhere. I expect it to pop up from out of all that floral. Faintly powery but not in a bad way. Overall: This is one I love to smell but not something I would wear often since I'm partial to incense notes. Such a happy and positive scent!

    Loviatar

In the bottle: Strong amber and musk in the bottle. I'm not getting the leather at all. Wet: Ohh, musk! And now there is the leather! My skin is warming the oil and bringing the leather out even more. Musk and leather... reminds me of my high school boyfriend. Dry: The leather went back into hiding and now all I am getting is the musk with a hint of amber. Overall: I don't dislike Loviatar but it is altogether too soft on me. All that I can smell now is musk. No leather. *sigh* It just disappeared on my within the first 5 minutes. It's such an elegant scent. I'd be all over the boy if he wore this for me. Maybe if I beg enough... *grins*

    Khephra

In the bottle: Very floral with a strong green scent underneath. This is in yer face strong to me. Wet: When I first put it on the scent goes straight to herbal and baby powder. There's a floral part to it but only in the background. Dry: Baby powder and something sharp. My nose and my skin just don't like this. Overall: Dang. This is the scent I just do not like on my. Too much like an alcohol-based perfume and baby powder on me. *sigh*

    Hamadryad

In the bottle: All cinnamon with an underscent of green. Seemed especially strong in the bottle but I think that is due to the cinnamon being right up front. Wet: Very cinnamon and green on my skin. I love the green scent, like a spring leaf that's just been crushed. Dry: The cinnamon is fading a bit and the nutmeg comes out. Such a warm scent! And I get a hint of rose now which really rounds out the scent. Overall: This a very elegant smell. I want to say it is all about summer but every time I sniff my wrist I feel Christmas. This is a scent I would want to put in a very hot bath and relax with. Very soothing!

    Hellfire

In the bottle: There is a sweetness I am getting but mostly it is a very acidic smell. Very much like the acid I would use when etching zinc plates for printmaking. It scratches at my throat. Wet: Still very acidic on my skin. I can't get anything other than that scent Dry: Ahh... there it is. Very mellow now. Still that faint smell of acid bath but the cherry pipe tobacco is coming through for me. And I detect a bit of musk now but the pipe tobacco wins out. Wish I knew what ambergis smelled like on its own because I am not sure if I am smelling it in there or not Overall: I really like this once it dries down. Smells very much like a finely aged leather tobacco pouch. Lovely!

    Yew-Trees

In the bottle: Yow! This was so strong in the imp that my eyes started to water. I put it in the "I'm not going to test this" pile but decided to try it out yesterday after being down to my final 3 imps. Wet: This went on strong but my skin seems to have sucked in the pine immediately and softened it down to something more manageable. Drydown: I finally figured it out. When it is dry, on me, it smells like the pine cough drops I like. A very mild pine with a mellow sweetness. Not berries though. It's almost like a vanilla sweetness but not quite. Overall: Wow! As much as I disliked this in the bottle, it is WONDERFUL on my skin. I smell like I've been sitting under a pine tree in the rain. Reminds me so much of playing house under a pine tree at my great-grandma's place. This is something I would wear when I was feeling blue and needed a smile.
