  1. Slivers of warm, pulsating blood forever crystallized in golden amber resin.

For me this is mostly Dragon's Blood with an actual floral note in the background. There may be some amber but I'm honestly getting floral. Either way the dragon's blood is far too dominant for me.

  2. Definitely a lot of cinnamon, but there's also some other note that I'm not able to analyze beyond "incense", and perhaps some musk in the back? For some reason I get imagines of a New Orleans brothel in my head? Very interesting frimp but it doesn't contain the kind of notes I like to wear.

  3. Not quite sure how this frimp got lost in the pile! This morphs a bit and is incredibly unexpected and not my normal type - but I can't stop smelling myself!

In the beginning I agree that it had the green freshness of a florists, but perhaps even a touch sharper. The honey at that point was only hiding in the background. There was also a vaguely evergreen note - I kept think of breath mints?

Give it ten minutes though and the honey moves up front. Refreshing but warm, and slightly sweet.

This is so hard for me to describe! I'm quite fascinated by this scent, but I will have to see how much I use the imp before diving into a bottle.

  4. This smells exactly like the three notes listed. Alas I am not big on leather or vetiver. Was thankful for the frimp, but very much not for me! However, I was surprised that this was one of the few scents I've tried that smelled exactly like the notes listed.

  5. I love the vanilla amber...not entirely sure what orange blossom smells like. There's sort of a warm incense note to me. A little bit like Morocco?

I like this scent but I normally don't wear incense blends. I feel like this is perhaps a bit mature for me? But then again, sometimes it's time for something new. I'm torn!

  6. I wrote a review a couple years ago, but this has definitely changed on my skin!! The vanilla used to hate me but now it's delicious! It's like a giant vat of authentic vanilla ice cream with a pear scent gently hovering over it. So glad I still have my decant!

  7. I'm getting a lot of beeswax, vanilla, and skin musk...and something spicy? Is that copal? I have no idea what copal smells like. It's a nice scent, and it's got a lot of notes that I love but it just doesn't feel like me. Off to swaps!

  8. I'm not sure which version I have (pretty sure it's the older one but I could be wrong).

This is a very bright and green bouquet of flowers. I'm not familiar enough with the individual flowers to know exactly what I'm smelling. However, it feels like they were just cut - green, fresh, and crisp. Really lovely, but I know it's not the type of scent I wear.

Might be nice for a room scent.

  9. Wow, this really is an autumn scent! I get a lot of nutmeat from this one - with fall spices. The background has that fall air note which I will assume is the 'red leaves'. It's light and rich and spicy all at the same time. It's very evocative, but I don't think I'd wear it so it will go in the swap/sales pile. It's a very soothing scent though.

  10. Interesting. I was expecting mostly aquatics...and the aquatics are there, but I mostly get the "hothouse flowers". Honeysuckle? Lily? Jasmine? I'm not always very good at picking out notes but there's almost a cloud of florals hovering over the waters. The water is almost sweet - probably from all the floral. None of this is really something I could see myself wearing but I'm so glad I got a sniff!

  11. So I'm clearing out my imps/decants and I tried on Inez....and immediately tought wtf, why did I not buy a bottle of this when I could?!?! Turns out I didn't even review it - I may have accidentally put it with the imps without even trying it!

This scent is amazing! It's warm and soft and mature. There's definitely amber and vanilla musk at the front which I adore, but it's also being grounded by the other notes (that stay mostly in the background). I definitely agree that this is similar to Morocco, but it feels little bit more "day" for me. It's a little softer, a little less incense. So so good! If this comes back it's a bottle for sure!

  12. I am head-over-heels in love with The Lantern Ghost of Oiwa. I bought a back up bottle and wish I was done with school and fully employed so I could afford more. I really hope they find a way of bringing back some of the more popular scents...so long as this one counts as popular ;)

But seriously it's such a complex scent and yet somehow effortlessly smooth. I have no idea what's in it based on the smell. It doesn't seem like perfume or an oil, it's just....ah, so good!!

  13. Oddly I do not get banana in this blend. It's predominantly pineapple - but not fresh pineapple, more like dried pineapple (that sweet candied element). But there's also some definite white musk in there. It stays pretty consistent on my skin although the notes take about 60 seconds to settle down on my skin. But then it's all dried pineapple with musk in the background.

  14. Huh, I'm not sure how to describe this!

Off the bat it was a very tangy fruity smell but the tang died down relatively quickly - still there but not dominant. Then a soft, almost floral note, came into the background. It definitely smells like candy - I want to say sweet tarts?

I guess my conclusion is that this smells like red slightly floral sweet tart.

  15. So glad I got a whole fraggle decant set because I can't see myself every trying this otherwise. It's very interesting and unexpected. The dirt is a lot less strong than doozers (and I don't get the radish here either). The dirt sort of mellows into the background and instead this is really more of a sweet slightly warm ozone scent. So peculiar! I don't know if my nose is just weird but yep, sweet slightly warm ozone. It almost smells like I just stepped out of a nice shower.

This fraggle collection has surprised me at every turn!

ETA: I may make my SO try this. I think it could be delicious on him.

  16. Well, this was again not at all what I expected! Although I found a surprise love in Tokyo Stomp, I find that chocolate tends to make scents feel unwearable to me.

For the first few seconds this had a strong chocolate not but then it fades quickly to the background. This ends up mostly as a slight boozy pear and (what I assume is) quince. I'm actually really loving it! It's a warm rich fruity smell. I'm not very familiar with quince, and perhaps it normally smells like the slightly boozy scent I'm getting? I do get some vanilla too. All the notes are there, just not in the proportions I was expecting.

I'm not generally a fruity girl but I'm loving this. I will have to try the decant a few more times, but I'm thinking this may have to be a bottle!

  17. I was hoping for fresh lilac, but this is still lovely. It reminds me a bit of the two bottle of White Moon I have stashed away. I use those as a calming/sleeping scent, and I think I have finally found a GC scent that's similar. This scent isn't powdery on me but it's definitely very soft. There is definitely something childlike about it, and I can see it having a relaxing effect on me. I don't think I'd wear it out, but I would definitely put it on in the evening after work or just before bed. Very pretty!

I can't really seem to describe the notes. I don't know if it's because they blend so well or if I'm just unfamiliar with the notes (I thought I knew several of the scents but I don't smell them!). It's a very soothing soft floral.
