  1. I'm not even going to try and guess notes, but this is really unexpectedly pretty. It's floral, and light, and watery, and very refreshing. I think this would be really perfect in summer or late spring. I'm definitely keeping my frimp and my have to upgrade to full bottle. So pretty!

  2. As others have said, this is very spot on. It's bright, it's juicy, it's the whole orange. I think it's super yummy and all I could hope for. However, I'm not sure how much I will where this. I love it in blends but on it's own...it makes me hungry? Lol.

  3. The rapture of sorrowful things: frankincense, black plum, melancholy lilac, rose otto, and myrrh.

"Indulgent dark" Indeed. This actually reminds me a lot of my bottle of Hymn to Proserpine. It's not the same notes but it evokes a dark sensual evening that just fully envelopes you. I don't feel like this is something I could wear often. It's a mysterious woman and the end of a dimly lit street...and I'm not that woman. But this is a really beautiful and evocative scent.

  4. For whatever reason, I thought this was going to be a disaster - and I was so wrong! I was afraid of the cherry, but it's barely there at all. This is mostly a cozy batch of warm sugared rice pudding. I seem to love cream and rice notes in scents. It's even similar to a shunga I love (has to be the rice). I think I'm going to have to get a bottle of this before they come down!

  5. Bruised violet seems about right. There's something almost swollen about the violet - I can't even explain that comment but it's true. I was actually expecting this to be a bit lighter and to have more vanilla. It's nice, and a bit unexpected, but I'm not head over heels for it. I think I'll try it again before making a decision on it. The green tea note comes out more and more over time.

  6. A bit hard for me to pick out the notes on this one. During literally the first minute, I was getting individual wafts of different notes but it settled really quickly. The results is somewhere between a hard candy and potpourri. It's better than that sounded but still not quite something I could see myself wearing.

  7. I admit that I got this knowing that I have no idea what Peony smells like. And to be honest, I'm still not sure. I get a lot of greenery at the beginning, and then a lot of powder at the end. It's coming off slightly like a chemical on my skin? It's a bit odd - wish I could smell it on someone else!

  8. I'm not familiar with TKO so I cannot compare. Straight out it smells like lavender - really strong - and it makes me sneeze because it always catches me off guard. But it's quickly tempered by vanilla and what I think is the melon. It's alternatively soothing, warm, and fresh. I do sort of agree that this feels like a bedroom scent...or maybe bathroom? It's a hard scent for me to pinpoint my feelings on but I think I like it. I'm just going to have to keep testing ;)

  9. Hmph. This starts off as a really yummy blueberry and then quickly fads revealing some luscious blackberry which also quickly fades and I'm left with ozone. Pretty much single note ozone. I guess that's the "slush". Good to know I prefer snow to slush ;)

Sadly this bottle is going to have to go into sales/swaps.

  10. This is 98% fern on me - the whole time. That's not really a bad thing, and it's a very nice green scent, but for me it's more of an atmosphere scent then one I'd want to smell like personally. There is a softer note in the background which I'm pretty sure is the lilac. Ferns and softness.

  11. Huh, I sprayed this without looking at the notes and all I could think was "herbal". However, there's definitely more and more ginger coming out as well. I'm honestly not sure what's giving me the herbal feel though. Smells nice though - a bit like an herbs cabinet.

  12. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to try this even though I know it's not my general "taste". For me this smells like the inside of an incense box. There is a woodsy element, and also a really nice blend of what I call incense notes (myrrh, sandalwood, frankincense). Usually I find incense notes to be really overwhelming but these are much more subtle and serene. Beautifully evocative.

  13. :wub2: I got this as a sniffie freebie inside a package from a forumite - and it's pure love. I'm so sad that it was only a sniffie!

There's something very smooth in this scent. Mint is definitely predominant, but I'm definitely getting whiffs of the other notes. Just really pretty. I would call it a winter scent, but it doesn't exactly smell 'cold' so me like others have said. I think the amber warms it up a touch.

  14. 2005 Version (thank you lovely forumite!)

Fascinatingly accurate. I get a wee bit of dirt, perfectly fresh stem, and newly opened petals. I do think the petals are coming off slightly acrid, but that may just be the age of this oil. I feel like a walked into a rose garden. Very pretty. I wish there was an atmosphere spray of this!

  15. Interesting. This is a combination of angelic florals and church-y incense. The florals get stronger as time goes on. I think it really fits the description well. In the beginning I especially felt like I was going into the church and looking at the painted ceilings...not entirely sure why, but the vision immediately popped into my head. A really evocative scent for me.

  16. How have I not reviewed this? I own a whole bottle of this and it makes me a very happy woman! This is tropical without being TROPICAL. The flowers are lush yet soft, and I feel almost as if there's a cool breeze wafting the scent over to me. It's really so pretty and I think it would appeal to people who aren't usually a fan of floral.

  17. At first I get a bit of that Milk Moon note that someone else commented on (as I have a bottle of it), but there's something distinctly less sour in this one. It's definitely a cool scent, and primarily coconut meat to me. There's something watery about it without being anything like the aquatic notes. It's really super refreshing. Perhaps a bit like sunscreen because of the fact that both have coconut in them, but I'm still really enjoying this! I will have to save my decant and possible get a bottle in summer. I can't believe I missed out on this for so long!

  18. Well three of four of these are my notes of doom so it definitely did not work on me. I can see a lot of people on the forums liking this though. Patchouli and red musk seem to be heavy favorites, and both are very prominent in this. 'Sexy dirty hippy' has my friend says. Not my thing at all though.
