    Malediction

As others have said before this is patchouli and vetiver, which isn't bad......and while it does accent the name sake of the oil name quite nicely, the first sounding notes of rotting backside followed by the mellowing of the pathouli makes me question my tastes. It's mellowing out nicely on my skin, and it definately gives the vampy vibe but it's a bit too dark for my taste.

    Litha 2006

As I sniff the bottle I get strong impressions of honey with a whitish wine now. This must be the honey mead. I'm really loving this. As I put it upon my skin, its just a scramble of all the notes trying to dominate themselves. I get the fruits, I get the resins and I get the honey mead but it is not choatic but in the way that they mingle it seems to represent to my noise the noise of summer following the rays of the sun. It's still pretty much the same as it dries down, all the notes marrying each other in a cornacopia of notes. None really tries to dominate the other. I don't know if I'll be using this oil heavily but I'll be saving it for special occasions because this is definately the oil to use for it.

    Lotus Moon 2006

Lotus Moon, was the second lunacy that I purchased when I haven't even received my first one. I was hesitant but after hearing about it being the same note in Bastet I decided to take the plunge. Boy am I glad that I did, I don't know how a blend could be so...thought provoking. I use that term in seriousness to describe the oil because from the bottle to my nose, the resins and the pines with the rose and the hint of lotus seems to be almost....zen, to say the least. It put me at ease, there was a tinge of my archnemsis opium giving me a slight headache but I prayed to let it behave. Upon my skin it blossoms, litterally. The opium melds with the Lotus letting the resins and the rose take center stage. As it dries down the rose and the lotus mix now into this warm, almost golden scent. I don't know how to describe it except that it's gorgeous. I'm glad I offered to get a bottle before it was let down, I feel truly at zen with Lotus moon.

    Montresor

Intial sniff: A dark winish note that I remember in Lady Macbeth and in the Black Tower! I wonder if it'll save the same berrisy notes that wore off so quickly in me in Lady Macbeth but still have the same lasting power that was in Black Tower. Hit to Wrist: Wow this stuff is lovely. I can't stop sniffing my arm. The wine note has dulled down a bit letting the berries and vanilla notes sweeten the skin. Mmm. A bit later: Now the Oak is letting itself through allowing the blend to gain a deep richness to the blend. I imagine parlor of the very richest sorts where people are eating honeyed fruit and having just the very best wine. This scent is a keeper, I'm in love.
