I've got a soft-sweet thing happening with my skin by default, so this is feminine enough that I'll wear it, even though I would never typically consider wearing a anything even remotely masculine. I read the reviews around here before making a leap and buying a full bottle- my first from BPAL, actually. The reviews scared me a little, because I have a habit of turning most fragrances into these cloying white musk-meets-synthetic-vanilla smells. Turns out it's great- best scent I've received so far. (I have something like 6 or 7 imps.) Big leather note right at the top, fine by me though, since I love a bit of leather smell. As it dries, the tonka bean in this fragrance takes over (tonka adores my skin, turning into a light coffee/vanilla note) and mixes beautifully with the leather. Funny,I barely get any lilac in this, even in the end, and I cannot smell the oudh at all on my skin- it's a huge punch in the snout in-bottle, though. Lovely, and though I'm a cutesy girly girl, this makes me feel sexy- like a femme fatale. It's a soft scent on me, without any of the synthetic nose burn I've been experiencing with my imps. Oh, and it would smell great on a guy. Probably quite a bit harder than it smells on me. Probably extremely sexy.

Wow- Alice was a bit of a gamble for me, because I amplify sweetness in anything that I touch to a crazy degree,, but instead of going crazy, candy-store sweet on me, it goes a sort of feminine, girly powder with a sprinkle of spice. In the imp, something smells really off to me,and on my skin wet, the carnation is pushing the edge of too spicy, but never quite hits the limit. As it dries it gets really nice- not terribly sweet, an innocent scent, but with a kick that keeps it from being too girlish. It's a bit like a tomboy with a face that is just a little too pretty for her scraped knees and dirty nose.
