Woman Dragging Her Aroused Lover Across a Bridge

Powder. That may be the amber or rosewood, but I'm thinking the rosewood. It's a very dry rose, with just a bit of smokiness to it and a tiny bit of vanilla.

A View of Cascading Cherry Blossoms

Clean cherry blossom musk with a tinge of sweetness from the strawberry. The strawberry isn't overly sugary nor is it overly fresh; it's more of a lightly candied version that adds a bit of sweetness. The musk is the main star on my skin with the cherry blossoms melding nicely. A bit powdery and very low throw.

    Peach Vulva

I'm going to echo @sunshinedaisyblisshere with the peachicot. Juicy peaches with a slightly lighter sweetness from the apricot and a fresh creaminess from the rice milk. There is a slight golden warmth underneath that is light and unassuming.

    Cherry Blossom Vulva

The cherry blossom here is very pretty and smooth. The gardenia melding with it insists on being a bit sharp and shrieking. Creamy floral that isn't powdery but is a bit sharp.

    Balancing the Sake Cup

This is the orange blossom note I love. The same heady, lush and humid one that is found in Ravenous. It's sweet and made even more so by the candied ginger. I wish I liked clove in perfume but I rarely do. Still, if it's mixed with other things that I love, I usually try as it can be something I enjoy if not out front entirely. Here, the ginger and clove mix well and meld into a clean spice that is a bit sweet but not too sugary. With the orange blossom, it reminds me of hot summer nights with a breeze of tropic floral riding the wind. Unfortunately, clove really isn't my thing, pretty or not.

    Dalliances by Candlelight

From my decant: Beeswax is still the star right out of the gate but not for long. The patchouli in this is very mellow and further adds to the chewy quality of the beeswax. As it dries, everything deepens; I can see @LiberAmoris call out on caramel; yet it's not caramel; it's just the thickening of each note. The beeswax is rich yet airy, the patchouli is chewy and woody. Sweet, sexy, sticky.

    Jaawi

Woody patchouli with an herbal bite. There's a powdery, high floral note that champaca sometimes pulls on me. The powdery floral dissipates after a bit and this becomes a very pretty musky patch with some sweet coconut to round it. Nice but not me.

    Cat Chasing Butterflies

I get the hairspray. It's gone relatively quickly but it was sort of startling. A very low throwing almond cream with a bit of musk.

A Cozy Sweater and an Apple Cider

Very evocative for me. You know those plumes of heated air that you can see from dryer vents in the winter? That's what this smells like to me. Fuzzy, warm, but clean and fresh.

    Volcano in Springtime

From my decant, this is a very smooth, creamy sandalwood. I'm not getting any lotus root, and the whipped vanilla cream is a supporting player. Very soft, snuggly, and warm.

    Entwined With Swarming Snakes

First applied, is fresh, green, and herbal, although that settles back on my skin quickly. Fresh, tart apple blooms almost immediately with a slightly supporting roundness that feels creamy to me, but fresh cream that isn't overly sweet. A zing from the yuzu balances everything. A very pretty spring spa scent that is very well balanced and blended.

Through The Gloom The Sisters Rose

First applied, this is slightly spiced sugary wine. During dry down, the sugar calms and a clean (not soap, but just clean) comes through. It goes on to become a slightly creamy, slightly musky UNspiced pomegranate wine. Nice and fruity and not overtly boozey. This would be good for those that are clean fruity lovers.

Breathing Destruction From Their Lips Like Flame

Dark sugared fruits with a just a tiny bit of pepper. It's a bit soapy on me as it's drying down but I'm also definitely getting some soil and earth. Definitely a powder quality to it with a dark sugared fruitiness. Reminds me of pez candy.

    Dark-Eyed, Delightful

First on, this is a slinky patchouli; slinky like lingerie. The cardamom warms it, leading to a spicy fuzziness that combines really well with the patch. I also get a musky vibe (black musk specifically) from this well blended oil. Completely dry, it's a high pitched sweetened patchouli on me.

    Adventuresome Encounters

At first application, the oakmoss is prominent, with a vegetal background that is enhanced by a woody spice note. Pretty soon, though, the oakmoss disappears while I cry. The woody cinnamon takes over, along with a dry amber that I'm unsure I like. Overall, it finishes as a slightly creamy yet dry cinnamon that is warm and woodsy.

    Honey, Tuberose, and Vanilla Sugar

Oh god. Like the others above me, this comes out straight 'Honey I Washed The Kids' from Lush on me. Very much a sweet, toffee like honey with a touc of vanilla sugar. The tuberose isn't strong but comes out more on the drydown, keeping the honey/sugar from being too cloying. A very gourmand scent that has this springy, tropical vibe. Bottle worthy for me.

    Honey Marzipan

Weird travel on me. First, it smells of dry cherry dip powder. Then sweet dry cherry dip powder. This quickly turned to an sweet almond dryer sheet. Like I said; weird.

It’s All I Have to Bring Today

A green sweet floral with a definite ozone note. It feels almost fuzzy to me, conjuring up how some wildflowers feel. Into the drydown, the amber comes into play. Non-powdery for me; this is a sunny amber evoking sunshine and warmth. This ends up being a sweet and almost herbal amber that feels playful and close.

Asses Plus Long, Qu’un Siècle Platonique

White rose; a bit creamy and no powder. Fresh but developed and full. Almost watery to me.

    Phyllocrania Paradoxa v1

In other words, the Ghost Mantis. First application, I detect balsam of some kind and maybe some amber or sandalwood. Whatever else is in here, it's creating a vanilla-like affect that is beautiful. There is a depth after drydown that reminds me of resins of some sort. It reminds me of U, Mutter a bit with the balsam/vanilla affect going on but it a bit deeper on my skin. And then it fades. Gorgeous but fleeting.

    Phyllocrania Paradoxa v6

Again, inspired by that crazy looking bug, The Ghost Mantis. But boy, has it changed. In the bottle and after application, it is very cologne-ish with lavendar, lime, and black musk. Fougere-like, definitely. Sharp and a bit powdery (black musk on me is lemony powder, so YMMV), the lavedar is very present with maybe a hint of balsam. Definitely not my thing.

    Discussion of all things Amber

Crazy you should say that. Jacob's Ladder was my first Bpal amber love. I hope it works out just as well for you.

    Plague Doctor v13

This starts out very woody and herbish to me. A mentholic note creeps in and really crashes the party. The blends starts to remind me of a more complex Vick's Vapor Rub with a touch of sassafras, maybe. Definitely woody Vick's. Or Vick's woody, who knows.

    Leo 2007

This blend was way more floral than I expected. The amber is very quiet in the background on me, until it's very dry. Then it is the star of the show but the show has almost left town by then. Not what I'm looking for.

    Cancer 2007

A very sweetly aquatic floral. I get almost a cotton candy vibe for awhile, which is kinda weird mixed with the aquatic nature of this blend. After awhile into drydown, the cotton candy goes away and the scent is more reed-ish in nature, which is nice.
