    March Hare

Normally I don't care for clove, but I love this! Mm the apricot is so warm, rich, and delicious. It lasted me all day, too!

    Eat Me

Mmm delicious. This reminds me a lot of Monster Bait: Closet, but I don't get currants. I get sandalwood. I don't know how or why, but I swear I smell it. ::laughs:: This is beautiful. The woods I smell balance out the sweetness so well. I might need a bottle of this one.

    The King of Hearts

I'm in love with The Red Queen, so I was eager to try this one, as they seemed fairly similar. This one started out as lavender, musks, and rosewood on me. It was definitely very masculine- strong and sharp. Shortly after though, it morphed into a soft and sweet combo of roses and cherries. Hours later there's still a sweet rose scent lingering on my writs which is nice. I like this one a lot, but it's got nothing on The Red Queen to me.

    Pumpkin King

I was thrilled to get my hands on my very own imp of Pumpkin King in a raffle, as Pumpkin is probably my favorite note. When I put it on it was all pumpkin, apples, and cinnamon. After a while the nutmeg came out. But then it started changing. Something very dark and musky came out, and I was immediately reminded of a friend of mine from college. It smells just like him. People often poked fun at him because he would sometimes just spray his clothes with cologne instead of washing them. You see where this is going? Later on in the day one of my bosses walked by my desk, and stopped, puzzled. She asked me if I smelled flea spray. Alright Mr Pumpkin King. Hit the road, Jack.

    #20 Love Oil

This is an interesting one. When I first opened the vial I got something very sharp, coughed a bit, and shut the vial again right away. I decided to tough it out though, and try it on. I got a hint of almond before, but now it's mostly herby. There's something in there I recognize. It's like lemongrass? It definitely softens out. It's a very green scent with little bits of yellow. It gets nicer the longer I wear it. I'll have to wait and test it on the boy, but he's sadly out of town for a few months. *sigh* Hmm... now a bit of lavender is coming out? How odd!

    Khephra

Wow. This one is changing on me every five seconds. It's definitely resiny, but mercifully enough, I've not gotten a headache! I almost always get those from amber. I don't get the cinnamon some have mentioned. Dark, masculine, yet warm at the same time. Crazy! I smell some floral in it that's giving it the warmth, but I don't know which it is. At one point it drifted to powder, and then came back to the resins. Hold still for five seconds, Khephra, so I can figure you out!

    Ode on Melancholy

Oh WOW. I forgot how much I love Wisteria! There's a bit of rose and sandalwood hiding in there, but mostly just the Wisteria. Mmmm... wow. This makes me really nostalgic. I used to go to a small all-girls private school, and certain areas of our campus were just draped all over with wisteria. *sigh* This really takes me back.

    Kumiho

In the vial and on me initially this was lemony, which I really didn't care for. It quickly morphed to just a lovely tea scent though, so it's a keeper! Mmm teeeaaaaaa.

    Monster Bait: Underpants

Hmm. I think I favor the other monsters. Underpants goes straight to dust on me. There's a little bit of sandalwood in there, but it's just the barest hint. Oh well.

    Has No Hanna

Has No Hanna has a lovely honeysuckle scent on me, which I love, but I had to wash it off pretty soon after putting it on. You know why? I'll tell you why. My hands were covered in tire grease because I blew a HUGE hole in the side of my tire. Here's how my Has No Hanna day has gone so far: Blew massive hole in tire Skinned the crap out of my toe at the gas station Car place is out of stock of my tires Miss two hours of work to deal with above nonsense Have to drive to work on spare, going 45 down the highway. Drivers honk at me and give me the finger even though I have my hazard lights blinking. Get to work- our supplier has screwed up one of my orders and is trying to blame it on me. Boss makes fun of my driving. ETA: 2 hours later! It keeps going! Fax has jammed, CDs refusing to burn, large format printer is printing demo over everything for no reason that I can figure out! AGH! Tomorrow I will have to miss more hours of work, and will be out at least $100 to replace the tire, plus will be out the $70 worth of work I've missed. This is after finding out last night that my debit card number was stolen and some jerk spent $800 of my money. I needed a happy day today. I needed some good luck. And instead Has No Hanna pushed me over into the mud and kicked me in the face repeatedly. I'm not sure it's worth it to wear it again, even if I do love the smell.

    Jester

Oof! Berries berries berries! In the bottle it's just berries. I feel like I've been attacked by the cast of Strawberry Shortcake. Once it's on my skin though, the neroli comes out and balances it perfectly, keeping it from being too sweet. This one is a lot of fun!

    Black Opal

Well, I had to get Black Opal on name basis alone. ::thumbs at username:: Opals are my favorite stone hands down. Black Opal is not my favorite BPAL scent. So sad! It's very pretty, but not one I'd wear all of the time. I get a bit of sweet clove out of this, actually. Normally I don't care for that, but it's slight in this one, and rather nice. It's definitely a very light scent on me. It faded pretty quickly.

    Gingerbread Poppet

I don't smell the ginger in this at all, and neither has anyone I let sniff it. You know what I smell? Waffles. Waffles covered in butter and dripping with syrup. So much so that I had to go out and buy some waffles. I'm a little bummed about no gingerbread, but the idea of buttery waffley perfume is hilarious to me, so this is one of my faves. ::snuggles her 5mL::

    Queen of Sheba

In the vial- almonds and something quite sharp. Wet- Almondy with incense-like spices Drying- Honey! I'm amazed at how much this one changes on me. Drying more- Honey's mostly gone. Now it's definitely pepper. Pepper with the barest hint of almond. Some more hours later- Soft spices. This one's really nice! The pepper stage is a bit strong for me, and at first I didn't like it. After a while though it grew on me.

    Black Cat

In the vial- sharp and herbal with a hint of lemon. Wet- Lemon, and catnip! Hee! As soon as it dries- baby powder ::throws hands up in a Vader-like fashion:: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Hours later- rose, but it's really faint. It's been about 2 hours since I put it on, and I've definitely got to sniff my wrist to smell the perfume at all. This is a toughy. To keep or not to keep? I love the lemon and catnip. I have fond memories of my cats going nuts over catnip, and I love the description. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little more cheerful and playful today. It's just that baby powder stage. I can't stand it! I'll have to try it on another day and see.

    Titania

Holy cow. This smells exactly like my ex. He, uh, he was very metro. Spent more on one pair of pants than my whole wardrobe. ::laughs:: Man, if I mixed this with DeSade, it'd be him to a T. It's gorgeous and feminine despite who it reminds me of. This is definitely one for me to wear when I'm feeling nostalgic.

    Blood Amber

Oof! This is really pretty, but if I wasn't sure before, I am now. Amber does NOT like me, no matter how much I like it. Ahh, here comes that migraine.

    Beaver Moon 2005

This one morphs on me a bit, but all of its stages are positively delicious! In the vial it's almost overpoweringly sweet, but once I put it on it's creamy delicious cake. After a few minutes there's a definite hint of cinnamon. An hour later? Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. Ooh! Deeelish.

    Juliet

Oh wow. When I first opened the vial and put it on I was read to run buy a bottle. I have been looking for a good honeysuckle scent and this was it. Sadly, about 10 minutes later, the honey suckle was totally gone. Now it's much sweeter. I'm assuming this is the sweat pea. It's still very lovely, but I wish the honeysuckle had stuck around.

    Pink Phoenix

Silliness in the extreme. Vanilla bean, honeycomb, sugared pear, sweet pea and a dribble of strawberry. ::Rubs sadly at sinuses:: Pink Phoenix sounded like it would be perfect for me, as I consider myself to be a very cutesy/silly sort of person. All of the ingredients sounded lovely as well... *sigh* In the vial this was a bit like pink punch. I got the strawberry, vanilla, and honey. On me, everything but the strawberry and vanilla dissapeared. It's a very synthetic strawberry. It was nice on the drydown. It reminded me very much of old Strawberry Shortcake type toys. I liked it, but sadly, didn't love it. Now, a few hours later, I've got an awful headache. Oh Pink Phoenix, I had such high hopes for you. Luckily I already have someone waiting who is dying to have you.

    The Dormouse

Wet: All tea and apples! It's crisp, but not too heavy. Drydown: Mmm here comes the peony. This one's a keeper!
  22. opaleyes

    Endymion

Mmm. Delicious pear and musk. I feel like I could just bite right into this. As I wear it the lily comes out a bit more. We'll see how long this lasts! I might end up having to get a 5mL. I was lucky enough to try the imp from a friend for whom lily just does not work. Her loss is definitely my gain! -after about 5 minutes: sadly losing a bit of the pear, but the lily is lovely in this. Very nice scent.

    Bordello

This is, for me, nothing but complete and utter watermelon Kool Aid. And I love that. It's not at all like I thought it would be from the description. It'll be a fun, summer scent for me. Makes me feel about 8 again.
  24. opaleyes

    Belle Époque

Initially it's all opium and sandalwood with a touch of lily. I was worried it wouldn't be right for me. Within 30 minutes of having it on though the mandarin and vanilla came out. This is lovely! After about 4 hours it's a VERY light (as in I have to huff my wrists) generic sort of perfume smell. I wish scents didn't fade so much on me! Definitely a keeper.

    Ephemera

Uh oh. Eau de Cat Lady. I loved the description on this one, but I don't get loss so much as generic dusty dried flower smell, with (maybe it's just me) a hint of cat pee. Yes, I am serious. It makes me very sad. My boyfriend didn't pick up on the cat pee, but he did say that it reminded him of his grandmother. That was the clincher. Swap!
